Could have been avoided if my medical details had been reviewed prior to offering an appointment. I am still waiting to be informed of what you have done with my refErrol. I have subsequently requested my own dentist to submit another referral.

That appointment was cancelled by them a week later, which was then rescheduled. Twenty minutes before the second appointment (whilst I was in the car on my way) I got a call to say that the dentist I was due to see wasn't taking on new NHS patients, and neither are any of the other dentists, so they're not able to see me now. Basically told to look elsewhere. What an absolute shambles. ------------- Reply from Clarendon on google reviews: Dear Richard Our email was sent inviting registered patients only to book into some spare slots we had available. No new patients were invited! The online booking link which you used (or had forwarded to you) also made clear it was for existing patients only. When it became clear you were not a pre-existing patient and booked your self an appointment incorrectly your appointment was cancelled. We are attempting to rebuild our general nhs list in an equitable manner prioritising pre-existing patients by age group. We are unable to make exceptions and sorry for any inconvenience caused. -------------- UPDATE: Just to respond to your reply. You're making it out like it's my fault. See attached the email to me. Nowhere does it state it's for existing patients only. YOU haven't made this clear. Its not me misunderstanding. You sent me the email and text me! It wasn't forwarded to me by anyone else. The first appointment got cancelled and you called me to apologise and set me up a new appointment. If it was only for existing patients only, why did you not advise me at that point? Why on earth did you wait till I was on my way to the second appointment to tell me then? I've never had an email from you before offering an appointment, so why would I assume it wasn't for me? If it really wasn't for me, then why did you send it to me in the first place? Your lack of responsibility and attempt to gaslight me is disgusting; trying to blame me for your error and assuming I've tried to circumvent your system.

I have only just discovered this site, but my story is unforgettable and is still worth telling…read more Nearly 2 years ago, I visited Advance Dental Care as an NHS patient. My gums were bleeding profusely on a daily basis, and I could hardly chew even soft food. In addition, I had lost a filling. I desperately needed dental treatment. The waiting in the reception was horrendous. At lunchtime, the receptionists just disappeared leaving no one to see to the phone or to patients. The practice still used brown envelopes for patient records, and computers seemed to be used only for making appointments. It felt like they were 20-25 years behind in terms of technology.[The reception area was also very small and uninviting] As for the treatment, I was on the edge of my seat throughout. After treatment, I kept spitting lead bits for hours. And when the filling was done, it felt like it was sticking out sharp and uncomfortable [I had to use a fine file to smooth it out myself at home, clearly a botched up job!] The treatment was stretched over 6-7 visits (as far as I can remember), without a doubt totally unnecessarily. The dentist also kept forgetting that I was an NHS patient, repeatedly quoting prices for each part of the treatment for me. I kept apologising for being an NHS patient. I felt like crap, and was treated no better. The worst thing about it all is the dentist's verdict when she saw the X-rays. She advised that I should have 8 teeth out ! To cut the story short, after the shock, I sought a second opinion, and guess what? I did NOT have to lose a single tooth!! The dentist who saved my teeth (on NHS) gave my teeth a thorough cleaning, plus a 10day treatment of antibiotics. That's all it took. Now, 2 years on, my teeth are all sill there as healthy as they can be, and no gum bleeding whatsoever. That's my story. I stand by every word in it.
