Being an active Yelper I went against the grain an tried out a barber shop with little to low reviews. Hellllllloooooooo never has been done before!!! Like ever. Ever. I found a flaw in the Yelp system. I'm 42 years old and never grew out my beard. It's been 3 months now growing wild. I visit my parents out here and today my family pushed me to trim my beard. Mind you I come from OC/LA 400 miles away. There are so many barber shops with 5 star Yelp reviews and hundreds of peoples story if not thousands. Enough of that. 2 days ago my brother talking his shit about my nappy beard booked an appointment with Jay. And Mac for his son. Ok cool. He sends me the Yelp and I'm like WTF?? Are you ok? Like is your mind fried or something. No way I'm going to some barber in Arizona with 9-10 reviews. Long story short. Met this cool ass cat. Jay. Owner there. Chill spot. Really cool decor and good vibe. I come out here quarterly and is now my goto barber!!! All these bogus negative reviews...man if you're ugly. Your barber can't fix that. I'm sorry. Keep up the good work!!! So here's the kicker. Go onto google and he's 4.5 star.. dam near perfect reviews. I'm glad I checked google. Will be back for sure!! read more

I am beyond impressed with the service! I have only been here twice but they are welcoming, professional and kind every time! I am a single mom and I bring my 2 year old son to get his hair cut and they are tremendously patient with him. They understand the "you have to do what you have to do" - as I feed my son bits of pizza as the barber cuts his hair. I didn't feel embarrassed one bit. I thoroughly enjoy coming here for a hair cut. I even bring my grandson along, and he has become a big fan of Mac, the barber. My grandson would pout in the past when he had to get a haircut, but he looks forward to it now as long as Mac cuts it. These guys really take their time, and give you a great haircut at a fair price. There is a lot of energy flowing there when everyone is busy, and you might want to turn on the Shazam app to capture some of the music titles they play! That's probably where the energy originates! If sports is your thing, you can talk for hours on that subject alone with the staff. But of course, if you want to just close your eyes and relax, you can do that too. I was so thankful that East Valley Styles was open on Friday and that I was able to schedule an appointment for my husband. After the initial admiration of the fresh cut I noticed marks on the sides of his head and the back of his neck. He informed me that the lady cutting his hair was heavy handed when it came to the straight edge. He said he knew she had cut him as soon as she applied product. We didn't realize how bad it was until it began to scab on Saturday. The photos are 48 hours later. read more

I waited 3 and a half hours for a hair cut and it came out terrible my fade is all messed up I got my hair cut 3 weeks ago from a different place and they did an amazing job with my old hair line ( i moved my part ) and I get my hair cut here because it was closer to my house and now my line is showing more then ever and my fade is all uneven. Never would go here. I mean how do you mess up a hair line ? He shaved completely passed where my line is and told me at the end I had to wait for it to grow out lol like bro you just shaved it off !!! My son had a really awful experience here. I would not recommend this shop for any children/kids cut. Wait wasn't long, but the barber (not Jay) was so impatient and rude to my young son. Worst of all, his haircut was totally uneven and we had to go get it fixed the next day before attending an event. Disappointing and waste of my time and money.
