My fiancé and I went here the day before we got married at the East wind. It was a really nice experience and we had a great time. Everything was nice and clean and the ambience was great. We got a couples massage and soaked in the tub for about a half an hour. It was all great but I feel like it was a rip off for $520. We literally just soaked in a tub for 30 minutes and then got what was supposed to be an hour massage but I don't even think it was that long. Ww were gifted a 'As Good As It Gets' spa certificate which includes a massage, body treatment, lunch, manicure/pedicure and facial. We were so excited to experience such a beautiful day, however, we had some issues that could have easily been prevented. When we arrived, we were asked if we had been here prior. We said it was our first time. The girl at the counter showed us the locker room and the amenities as well as the area where you wait for your treatments (quiet room). She told us between each service we should wait in this area and someone would come get us. We went into first room with tub and were told that when someone knocked we would have 5 min to get onto the tables. We noticed that one of the tables was different. When the time was up we were told to go to a different room. We had 2 treatments and then it was lunchtime. We sat in relaxing room for about 20 min waiting for someone to come and when no one came, I decided to go to the front desk since our next treatment was at 1:00. She said we needed to walk upstairs. We were told to go in our robes. We walked upstairs and were shocked to see a line of families with young children waiting to eat. Besides being uncomfortable being in robes, at this time we didn't have enough time before the next service schedule since so much time had been wasted waiting on someone to tell us where to go. We found someone to help us who sighted we go downstairs and speak to the spa desk. At this point a manager became involved and basically told us we 'should have known not to sit in that room'. I am not sure how we would have known where to go never having been there prior and never would we have thought that lunch was in robes with the general public. They ended up bringing us lunch as we got the nail portion of our services but not only did it feel incredibly uncomfortable and unsanitary, but the sandwich was soggy and the salad was missing the protein. Needless to say, a beautiful relaxing experience, which we know cost our friends a pretty penny, was not the same. At the end, not only were we not given a gift certificate to return to try to make up for it, but we were charged for minuscule extras. In the beginning of this experience I thought I might purchase this for my daughter and myself prior to my daughter's upcoming wedding in October but obviously not now. read more

I've got good news and bad news, which do you want first? I'll start with the good, the front desk staff is awesome! The bad news, the rooms are small, plain and dark and the television is some satellite dish that doesn't even get any channels. We purchased a SPA package, and we couldn't use the SPA because the waiting room was freezing, had no lights and the SPA staff was blatantly rude. This place is horrible, don't waste your money. Just not worth it. First off, it is a scavenger hunt to find the spa in the first place. When you finally do you walk into a nice reception area that is promising. It goes downhill when you go to the locker room. For the price tag, I expect up to par with some of the nicer hotel spas I have been to. Tiny locker room, one steam room and one sauna and then a few basic shower stalls and bathroom stalls. Minimum amenities here as well. The relaxation room was nicer but the "snacks" were Kirkland brand granola bars from Costco. Cheesy when you're paying $250 for a massage. I'm giving the spa stars although I must say they really they need to up their game in terms of the aesthetics of the place. For $200 for an 80 minute massage I would expect a lively shower area and also a beautiful decor inside the facility. Not here. My massage therapist did not listen to me when I asked her to focus on my flutes and to go deep tissue. Probably the worst massage I had in years. However, she was nice and she had a good smile. In the future I would just ask that I have a massage therapist who specializes in deep tissue. This location Did not use hot stones, not scented massage oils. My massage here was beyond incredible. Joseph DiFazio, my masseuse, was intuitive, informative and down right amazing. He knew how to release my super right muscles, realign my spine, and even found tension I didn't even know I had. And then, I actually left with a prescription for self care. He was super!!! AND the spa itself is beautiful, peaceful and healing. It's clean and makes a genuine effort to help its clients get the best experience possible. It was not relaxing at all and not what I had heard about East Wind from my friends. I was very disappointed. While she was a lovely person, I did not spend $150 to learn about the her family. have been to east wind before for massage services but first time ever going there for a mani pedi my nail girl was extremely sweet such a pleasure to work with i was so impressed with her job on my nails after paying almost 100 dollars on a mani pedi i added shellac(gel) for an extra 15 dollars on my nails in hopes that my nails will last 2-3 weeks as she said. within 6/7 days my nails started peeling and chipping was so frustrated after spending that amount of money and to have to worry about how my nails look i called and explained and they told me to come in and get my nails fixed i drove 35 mins to get there and met with kara she was very sweet helped me pick a nice color there were a few imperfections on my nails with nail polish missing on the sides .which i asked her to fix which she just painted over it and doubling up on the polish which now has a dark shadow on my nail very frustrated after spending that much money and my nails look like a child did them with the messy trims read more

We booked the wine tour/hotel stay/dinner/spa package for a bachelorette party. We had a great time. Very easy start to finish. Really enjoyed the vineyards and shuttle bus. The spa was the highlight. The massage was wonderful and we took full advantage of the steam room and sauna after to continue the relaxation. They have robes/towels and sandals available and showers. My one comment would be that I wish there was cucumber water or lemon water or other fancy water that you commonly see in spas. I also wish they had a water dispenser near the sauna and steam room so we didn't have to walk into the waiting area for more water while using those facilities. Overall we had a great time and felt we got our moneys worth for the whole package. read more

I went for a massage. I walk in and the woman at the reception desk had a rude, nasty, unwelcoming demeanor. Her tone felt insulting, as if my mere presence was an inconvenience. They brought me back to the showers and sauna. The showers stunk of what smelled like mold. I thought the lady preforming my massage was using fish oil before I realized that's what she actually smelt like. She wouldn't stop talking and I kept feeling what was probably her spit all over my back. I've never been so uncomfortable in my life. I spent the day here last weekend with a group for a friends birthday. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Our reservations got a little mixed up, but they were able to accommodate us for the most part when we asked. The locker rooms and treatment rooms were very clean! They have robes and flip flops available for use during your stay. In the locker room there are showers, a sauna, and a steam room. We waited for our treatments in the relaxation room where they had fruit, tea, and water. My massage was great! The masseuse asked about areas of tension and about pressure. I have been going to East Wind Hair Salon for over 4 years now getting my hair cut. I usually use the same stylist but if she isn't available I have gone to other stylists and have been extremely satisfied until recently when I had the WORST HAIR CUT OF MY LIFE. My stylist wasn't available and the stylist that cut my hair had the right side a 1/4 of an inch longer than the left. It was a disaster. I called the salon and they had me see another stylist, because I wouldn't see the one that gave me the bad hair cut, and she asked me if I wanted the back even? Was my head tilted when I got the hair cut? She than proceeded to cut the longer side of my hair dry, couldn't even spritz it. Never even tried to make the angle even. Just cut the length so it appeared even. She barley spent 7 mins on trying to fix my disaster of a hair cut. I have called and asked for a credit because I trust my usual stylist but I either get the run around OR no one calls me back. Such a shame! I will not be going back there. My daughter and future son-in-law have been waiting to hear back from MICHAEL and staff on a refund for a wedding that couldn't accommodate the Covid restrictions. Happened to be at the East Wind Spa on June 27th. One of the clients was extremely upset as her teenage daughter was refused service. The young lady was made to sit clothed only in a robe for over a hour waiting for her parent. Needless to say the parent was extremely upset as to the way her child was treated. Based on what I observed, I will not be returning to this establishment. The staff was at fault on so many levels by not notifying the parent they could not provide the daughter's service and having her sit alone for such an extended length of time. read more

I had been to this spa years ago, and all service were exceptional! I've had mani/pedi services, hair cut and style as well. Never disappointed. Recently a girlfriend got me a GC for a Mani/Pedi service. While the technician was friendly, pleasant and very nice, the end result of my mani/pedi was really, really bad. Not one nail on my toes or hands had polish applied to the entire nail. The pedicure just had that problem. But the manicure... she filed all my nails on an angle, she tried too many times to get it right and by the time she was done my natural nails were only half the length I walked in with. She filed the sides in too much, left them jagged, and now, 4 days later I've developed 6 hang nails and 3 nails have broken either at the nail bed or below the bed. The polish is awful, you can see the two layers and not one nail has polish one side to the other, natural nail lines are obvious and can be seen. I have to take everything off today, cut all my nails down and wait for them to grow back. For a service that cost $115 I am beyond sad and disappointed. I won't ever go back. I get far superior service and results from the small nail salon near my home, that costs a fraction of what East Wind Spa charges. What a shame, that a supposed 'High End' salon can charge an extraordinary amount for less than sub par services. Never, ever again! read more

I noticed on the right of me people were checking out after there service and paying I found it quite rude to ask us up front ok going forward we got two massages has we were finished and getting dressed in there locker room we were approached by some ladies that were standing outside when we were told to pay upfront and said they have never experienced that before has long has they been visiting the spa ! I tell u they embarrassed me and my friend to the point I will never return again ! I thought about it and called them spoke to someone and they started to apologize and said they would speak to the manager with that said , nothing came out of it!! I never write reviews, but feel that I should in this case. I brought my friends to the spa at East WInd for a Bachelorette Party. We did the Bridal Package that includes lunch, manicures, a facial or massage and use of the amenities. I have to say, it was not a great experience. The spa itself is in the basement and is kind of like a maze. The place is a bit small and rundown, and the staff at the front desk were rude, unhelpful and unaccommodating. They were not welcoming at all and it felt very unorganized and confusing. The woman who gave me a manicure cut my hand pretty badly when taking off gel polish, and another girl in the bridal party was also cut by a nail technician. The restaurant was rundown and the server very chaotic and unhelpful. Overall it was a big disappointment. Save yourself the trip. read more

Terrible customer service! If I could give them 0 stars or negative stars, I would. The front desk are such morons. My husband and I planned couple massages for our one year wedding anniversary and decided to upgraded from a 50 minute couples massage to an 80 minute massage and they never upgraded it. The manager said she was the one who booked it with me and acted surprise when I mentioned the upgrade?? Really lady? How would I know about the difference in cost and additional gratuity if she didn't tell me, seriously , what an idiot! We were waiting weeks to celebrate at the spa and they once again screwed things up. The day before my wedding, I had 2 massages scheduled for my sister and I and they did not put me with a female as requested. What a disaster. Plus, while we were checking in, there was another customer with similar complaints checking out and she also said she will never come back there. This cannot be a coincidence, they just don't pay attention to detail or care about their customers. We are so angry and annoyed and will never go back there! Plus, booking over the phone, who know what the hell they are doing while talking to you, they don't pay attention to anything. I called back 3 times prior to this to ask questions and when we got to the spa the answers were different. I also called, 2 days before to confirm and obviously they didn't listen! Okay so I came to The East Wind Inn and Spa for a couple days of R&R. Let me start by saying, the staff is wonderful. Very kind and accommodating. While staying I got a facial and pedicure. The Spa's quiet room is small but beautiful and relaxing. There is a steam room and sauna which are also small but very clean and nice to use. The facial I got was the warm stone facial which was indeed relaxing and the esthetician was very sweet. After she inspected my skin, I upgraded to a hydra lifting facial with the stones. My skin was beautifully hydrated and she did a really good job of making me feel pampered and relaxed. The next day I went back for a pedicure. Yikes!! It was awful. Real waste of money. I am so sad to say that it is the worst pedicure I've ever gotten. For $55 I got a warm brown sugar pedicure. The nail tech was sort of pleasant but the work was really bad. She didn't include callus removal even though the package stated it included it, my nails were filed crooked, the paint is thickly layered and there are whole portions of my nails that are unpainted and paint on my cuticles and under the nail. It honestly looks like it was done by a child. When she asked me if I liked it, I could only think to myself... do you? Are you proud of this work? But I didn't bother to argue. It's not my style. I just took the loss and left. It's disappointing though. I've had nail techs look at their work and remove the polish and tell me they can do with way less error than this occasion. This was really bad. I had to include pictures as soon as I got to my car. I am not one to complain, but customers deserve to know that this is the caliber of work they might receive on their nails. That tech had to know she did an awful job and she didn't even try to make it better. I will definitely stay at the Inn again and I will return to the spa and try out another facial or massage. However, I will never get another pedicure or manicure ever again. Paying for the ambiance is not my scene. I went in with three week old nail polish that looked better than my freshly painted nails. The shape of my nails is atrocious. I'm just going to go home, remove the paint, and wait for my nails to grow out so I can get them reshaped. So sad. read more

Worst customer service at front desk from the 2 women receptionists. I had made an appointment for a couple's massage about 3 weeks ago as a Valentine's day gift for my boyfriend, the woman who booked my appointment was very nice and gave recommendations for restaurants . I had made the appointment for 5:30 massage was told to come at 5:00. I had requested 2 female massage therapists and added champagne and strawberries, gave all of my information including credit card number, and planned our whole day around this appointment. So since then we've been counting down the days till we were finally able to go and relax. Today's the the day, we show up around 4:45, and drove all the way from Levittown. I went to check in at the front desk and my appointment and was told we're not in the system. They were taking forever to find me in the computer then finally the other receptionist found my appointment and said it was cancelled. They tried to make it seem like I had cancelled it. At this point I'm so upset, why would I cancel and appointment then drive over an hour to get there . So someone was booked over my appointment and all they offered was a massage 2 hours later at around 7:30 with 2 male massage therapist when they are closed... how weird. Or a basic face wash cleanse facial for $98 . I work in a salon so I know, ok appointments in the computer can get cancelled by accident, but when that guest shows up I always accommodate them or offer them a discount or treatment. So I left crying and upset, gift ruined . Im just happy they didn't get my $500 I was about to spend there . They are definitely not worth it. read more

My wife got a gift card for the spa and just got around to going to spa. They refused the acceptance of the gift card saying it was expired. Meanwhile 2yrs of the card were through Covid. Very uncomfortable chair , just flat back against a wall type thing with zero back support and no where to rest your arms even. Kind of outdated nail services. Basic manicure polish or shellac which no one uses anymore. Nails were rough on edges even when I left. For the price I would not go again. Ok at best. It was better years ago.
