I really love going here. They always do such a thorough job. They are very consistent, every time I go I get the same service and nothing is lacking. Everyone is so kind. I had Cindy last time and she was so attentive. I'm a new mom and am always taking care of everyone else first. She was working on my feet and checked in to see if I was ok and to make sure she didn't hurt me. It doesn't sound like much but to be so taken care of by a stranger was a nice feeling. It's a bland bail salon. They do a good job. Customer service is OK. Just, If it's crowded, leave. You won't be acknowledged and have to wait forever. I had my 3 girls with me. Went a few storefronts down to another nail salon, even more crowded. But was immediately greeted and got in a chair within 30 minutes as 4 walk ins. We will still come here as I like that it's not as well known as other area salons. But it's not my go to place anymore. read more

I came here for the first time being as it is significantly closer to my house then the salon I usually go to and I didn't feel like driving that day. I would say the entire experience was just OK. I was there for a mani/pedi and thankfully there was no wait. Everything inside seems kind of dated. The chairs were old, and it really didn't feel very clean. I was satisfied enough with my mani and pedi to not complain about it, but it was really not the relaxing expierence I was looking forward to. It was also FREEZING cold in there, which made matters worse. The mani/pedi was cheaper then other places in the area which was nice. This place is extremely clean. They use a fresh bag of tools for each person, line their pedicure basins, and have a little mini buffer for each person so none of the tools get reused. They have a great selection for powder dip and regular. I didn't catch the gel selection but I'm sure that's good too. Prices are really fair. For example, the callus treatment is $7 as opposed to $10 at other places. They offer mani/pedi specials too and the nail techs do a really great job. I highly recommend. read more

CATHY was extremely rude. She rushed me, didn't take off the nail polish from before completely to where I saw it on the sides, and painted on my skin. When I asked her to fix it, she had the WORST attitude. Terrible customer service. UPDATE: I got my toes done at another salon literally right when I left since they didn't seem to care that I was upset. I went back to get my $17 from the pedicure I immediately had to redo. The manager (male) sat me down in the chair and tried to take my nail polish off before giving me a refund. Very abruptly. I kept telling him that it was NOT their work. I really like this place. I get a regular manicure here each week for $8 and I have no clue what base/top coat they use but my nails never chip. I'm a nurse and I wash my hands so much during the day and still... my polish is amazing. I highly recommend this place. They do a great job ! read more

I took my daughters to Yumi's to get her nails done for the first day of school. What a great job they did, her nails look great. I had taken her to two other places in the past and had never been happy with the service. Yumi's was perfect, she showed them a picture of what she wanted and that was exactly what she got. This is a small place in a nondescript strip mall -- in fact, you probably never noticed it unless you were in Rocky Point looking for tattoos and cheap tires (the other businesses that share the space) -- but don't overlook it. I've consistently gotten wonderful manicures and pedicures here. The salon is not fancy but it is always clean, and they offer a nice selection of quality (Essie and OPI) polishes, as well as gel options. Great salon in town. I have done regular pedicure and manicure and have tried the SNS mani. Salon is clean, staff is friendly, they take time with your nails to make sure the job is perfect. They offer SNS powder manicure which dries quick and lasts about 3 or more weeks. read more

Very clean place and all of their procedures to do nails are also very sanitary (even putting a plastic covering bag around the little tub when you get a pedicure). I had one of the guys perform my pedicure and he did a pretty good job...I would have liked him to scrub/exfoliate my feet a little longer especially since they use a new scrub pad on each customer. Good selections of colors and reasonable prices. A little pushy to buy the other options of pedicures and he said I needed the callous remover which was $10 more but I declined since I don't have any callouses. I've had worse and I've had better pedicures but I'd probably go again knowing how strict they are with cleaning everything. read more

HORRIABLE WORK, nobody knows how to do anything but one person and he has a bad attitude, this place went down hill, they don't have the same workers! My Powder gel cracked after 2 days and they kept blaming that I was to harsh with my hands, they rushed first of all, no extra coats , they don't even know how to make nails look even, I had to tell the nail lady they were not even! I have gone to this nail salon on and off for a few years. Ive actually liked going and they did a good job, it was clean and professional. I stopped in and wanted a pedi. I didnt have an appt but they said I could wait. I sat down at the pedicure seat and a woman began my pedicure. She did a super quick file on the nails and my toes went into the water. I barely got my feet in and took my feet out and she was pushing my cuticles BUT she almost was doing nothing. Just kinda ran the pusher over my nails no effort at all then buffed and did a little scrub on my feet and no massage or cuticles. There was no base coat on and immediately the polish went on. Sloppy work polish was thick. I hit the dryer with my foot it had to be fixed. She came over put another coat of polish on top of the lumpy polish and after awhile trying to dry I left and the polish never dried. I had to go and pay again to get them done over. I went to Yumi's after experiencing long waits at other salons, even though I had an appointment. At first this salon was "different". Then it became the same old story. In the past I was going down the road and was finally fed up over making an appointment and them never honoring it. When you have a appointment there is no frustration or hassle here at Yumi's. Read the reviews so I figured I would give it a try. I had to get them redone the next day because the french manicure the line was not straight and it wasn't a solid line. Also, I was not offered the reward program for every ten visits like the other reviews stated. Pretty disappointed. Also, I wanted to add, when I called to see what time they were open until, I specifically asked if they take Discover credit card. They said yes. i've been going to yumis now for approximately 3 years. i've never had an issue with them up until yesterday afternoon. i asked for coffin shaped nails with a marble design on one finger. i received acrylics that were extremely short and stubby looking. they almost reminded me of stiletto shaped- which was not my desired look. i was told my nail bed is "too small" therefore she was unable to make my nails any longer. however, at the same exact place i have had longer acrylics without an issue. i believe the real reason is she didn't want to start the process over after she cut too much. even worse, they were EXTREMELY uneven to the point where one side is curved and the other straight. i remained silent until she started putting on the color to one nail. i immediately realized i was not a fan of it and asked if it were possible to change the color. she said "no no don't worry it'll look good after the second coat." as for the "marble" nail- i asked her to follow the picture i provided. i clearly stated that if she was unable to do a similar design it was okay. at first, she said she could and then went on to say "are you sure you want that? it's ugly. i can give you a star instead." this was an extremely rude comment and i politely said i liked the design i chose. she spent a total of 20 seconds "trying" to recreate the marble and it just reminded me of a sharpie scribbled on a white nail. at this point i was extremely aggravated and wanted to just leave. i paid 60 dollars with tip and left. later on, i received second opinions and decided the state of my nails were unacceptable. i came in the next morning and tried to explain that i really did not like the shape and asked if it were possible to be redone. she said she would have to charge me for a full set and i was trying to explain that the nails were uneven. she simply started filing them and said "they look good!" even tho i pointed out where all of them were uneven. she picked more at my cuticles making me bleed for the second time and conversed with the other workers in an annoyed tone. clearly, they were all talking bad about me. she even had the audacity to say my nails looked that way because i picked a light pink color! i ended up leaving half way through her taking off the color and talking angrily. i took them to chelsea's and they were in shock at the state of my nails! they helped me out and did a great job fixing my nails. definitely go to chelsea's instead! read more

This was my first time at this nail salon. The staff was very friendly! I got a French pedicure. The service was great and so were the prices. Every 10th visit you get a free 10 minute massage (or a manicure or eyebrow wax). I will definitely be going back for my pedicures and to see how their gel manicures are. read more
