Let me give you a little bit about myself. I am 30, I have Multiple Sclerosis. I am prone to having…read moreinfections. Now, I don't consider myself in the greatest of shape. I don't eat the greatest or exersize as much as I should. But, when seeing a doctor for the first time, I try to be reasonable about assumptions about me. Well, she pressed the areas and I was told "Oh come on" as I told her the areas the were sensitive. I was told that I was overweight and that it would be worked on. I don't know about you. But, would you say that about someone you just met? Now, the reason for the visit was because I had kidney stones. The doctor was upset with me for not catching them. Now, I know what you're saying. I should have, why didn't I ,etc. Well, I had already taken my night meds, and it was 2 o'clock in the morning. Would you want to catch kidney stones after feeling like you've given birth on sleeping meds? She did blood work and urinalysis. She also wanted me to get some scans. But, she wanted me to talk to my insurance company about getting them. Usually when I go to the doctors and need scans, they put it in and let me know that I can make an appointment for the scans. Anyways , fast forward a week and they say blood work was fine. But, urine was not they said they would order antibiotics. Note, I got this call in the morning. I look at the pharmacy app for about 5 hours. Still nothing. I call the pharmacy, they say they haven't received anything. I call back they say they did put it in. But, they would talk to the doctor. I did not get my meds. Not to mention they are closed on Fridays. So, I couldn't call back. I also had a second kidney stone episode before they called me about the antibiotics. I called an urologist and made an appointment with them. Hopefully, they can give me what I need. Because, going with the pattern, I'm due to have kidney stones tomorrow night. Safe to say I'm finding a new PCP.

I went to Dr. Simigiannis because I was looking for a new gynecologist, and decided to try her…read morebased on some good reviews. I had high hopes and wanted to like her. On my first visit, I explained some concerns I had to her. She asked some follow up questions and then proceeded to totally dismiss my concerns and symptoms in a very condescending, unempathetic, and unprofessional manner. She said that other patients had it so much worse than me so I should consider myself lucky. How does that help me? She then told me to deal with it because what I was experiencing wasn't that bad. It was very upsetting to be treated that way. I tried to find another doctor for my yearly exam but couldn't since I waited until the last minute so I ended up going back to Dr. S out of convenience. I had an extremely hard time getting an appointment with her since no one there ever answers the phone. You have to leave a message and wait for a call back and hope that when they call back you'll be able to answer the phone. I finally gave up on the phone and dealt with them strictly on the online portal, where I went back and forth a few times just to make an appointment. When I arrived for my appointment, the front desk receptionist was not friendly at all. The women at the front desk are always dismissive at best. This woman had absolutely no personality, except to perk up a little and talk with the other receptionist negatively about another patient. I went back and spoke to the Medical Assistant who asked me irrelevant questions. At least she was friendly and nice. She gave me a gown, told me to change, and wait for the doctor. I was not given a paper drape for my lower body like is usually given, only a gown. This time Dr. S told me that Pap smears were only recommended every two years now, so she wasn't going to do it since I had one last year. I asked her if my insurance would pay for it and she said yes. Then she said it was not a good idea for me to do it because if I got a false positive for something, then I'd be worried for no reason. She said she had seen that happen many times and did all she could to talk me out of the Pap smear. I was not in the mood to argue with because I just wanted to leave, so I agreed not to do it. I was annoyed though. If my insurance would cover it, then why shouldn't I get a test done if I wanted it? I paid for the insurance every month out of my paycheck so it should be my choice. In addition to the skipping the PAP smear discussion, De S asked me the same irrelevant questions as the Medical Assistant did. Despite me being there before she had no idea who I was. At least review my chart for 60 seconds before you walk in and sit down. She did the exam, and at one point, I was lying there pretty much naked, since since there was no paper drape covering my lower body and the gown was open in the front. That made me uncomfortable but she did not seem to notice. Maybe that was their new way of doing things. Were they trying to save money on paper? I have never experienced that at any other gynecologist. It was ridiculous. I couldn't wait to get out of there! I was so disgusted. She sat at the desk for a few minutes, updating my file as I looked around the room. The office overall is a mess. The exam room walls were three different colors, the paint was chipped, and the floors had all scuffed, peeling hardwood. It needed a good cleaning too. The entire place needs a cosmetic, as well as an attitude adjustment, and an empathy overhaul big time! I do not recommend Dr. S because I feel like she doesn't really care about you as a person. She doesn't even remember who you are. No matter what you say, she does what she wants to do, is dismissive of your concerns and feelings, and doesn't take them seriously. Dr. S doesn't see or care if you're uncomfortable emotionally or physically. She gets in and gets out and then bills your insurance. If you need a quick exam, she's competent enough to do that but that's it. If you need anything behind that, don't bother going to her. You also have to deal with the nightmare of making an appointment with her office and the whole not answering the phone thing, so it's not worth it. She has several reviews on healthgrades and other websites from patients who have had bad experiences that were very similar to mine. I do not recommend her and neither do many other patients. Some words used to describe her that I think are accurate are: Condescending Demeaning Impatient Mean Rude Unempathetic Unprofessional Choose another doctor!

I've been a patient of hers for more than 12 years. I haven't always kept up my appointments, but that is not a fault of the office. I am reminded every year via letter to make an appointment. Hopefully, some of the things that people have expressed on this site have been addressed. In short, I have had only positive experiences, and would highly recommend Antheia Gynecology.

Dr. Wisser listened to my concerns, answered all of my questions, and made me feel comfortable with my decision. The results are beautiful and natural, and I feel so much more confident and comfortable in my body. The office staff was kind, professional, and always helpful throughout the entire process. I am truly grateful for the care I received and would highly recommend Dr. Wisser. It was one of the best decisions I ever made, I am so happy with my results.

I recently re-learned the definition of trauma. It is when you submit to a procedure to have a…read moresuspected benign (fluid-type) cyst removed from your forehead to discover (while under local anesthetic) that instead, you have a golf-ball-sized solid tumor deeply embedded to your skull. Jump to the chase - it was benign, and I am doing well. [Note: The tumor did not show up on CAT scans taken prior to surgery.] When I was confronted with this trauma, I was in the hands of plastic surgeon Dr. Jamie Wisser. THANK GOD. Let me repeat that, THANK GOD! First, Dr. Wisser was truthful about what he was encountering (remember, my forehead was anesthetized but I was awake & alert). He was reassuring. He explained what he was removing & how he was progressing. Seventy minutes later, I was all stitched & glued together and talking to him and his surgical nurse about post-surgical care. Since my surgery in late March, Dr. Wisser and his superb staff have been there for me every step of the way. From the early symptoms: loss of feeling in my head & forehead, small bags of fluid appearing under my eyes, and occasional head pain. To my current state of recovery: I now have feeling in my head & forehead. I can move my eyebrows up & down without pain or stiffness. I can now sleep peacefully on my stomach. I'm getting some exercise and I am almost ready to go swimming - dipping (not diving nor aggressive head -thrashing crawling). If healing continues, my incision will soon be completely invisible. As each problem surfaced or concern arose, Dr. Wisser monitored the condition, offered treatment and advice. Dr. Wisser is skilled, kind and patient. I never felt rushed during ANY phase of treatment. I'm writing this to say I WOULD NOT HESITATE TO RECOMMEND DR. WISSER. If you are fortunate enough to be seeing Dr. Wisser for cosmetic surgery, lucky, lucky you. This is precisely the person who you want to entrust with such an important, personal, formidable decision. If you are seeing Dr. Wisser for non-elective medical surgery, competence is one less aspect of your journey you will need to worry about. You are in experienced, skilled hands. You will love his entire team.
