The appointment systems is based on either a planned appointment (regarding continous treatment) or a book on the day. The appt line is open from 8am but the line gets very busy. If you are unable to get an appt then you can visit the nurse-led minor injury clinic, be warned that waiting times for this do vary, one day you can go straight in and thenext you can be waiting for hours (once again this is dependent of clinics running at the time). I have just registered here, after I was unable to find an NHS dentist for many years. I am also…read morevery dentist-phobic, having had a number of bad experiences in the past. It was with some fear that I went along after suffering with toothache for a week. Two fillings later and I can honestly say that it was almost pleasant (as pleasant as a trip to the dentist can be). First off, I didn't feel as though I was being lectured by the staff or told off for having neglected my teeth for a few years. The injection prior to the fillings didn't leave me clinging to the ceiling and I was charged a lot less than I was expecting. They are taking on new NHS patients now, one of the few places that are (three years ago the closest NHS dentist I could find was in Poplar, east London) so if you need a dentist, you could do a lot worse than this practice.
