The following week I went with cash in hand to pay for the materials for the project. Purely miraculously coincidentally they claim prices went up by $350 in one week. I get this lame excuse from the counterperson saying well lumber prices change weekly. The problem is lumber's down anywhere from 3 to 5% in the past month. So what they did was quote me a price a week earlier for in stock the same as they had in stock when I arrived and they raised the price $350. I asked to speak to a manager no manager comes out I ask for a phone call no manager calls. This is bait and switch lumber prices did not increase they decided to just arbitrarily and randomly raise prices and not honor what was quoted. I've spent over $40,000 over the years at Coventry lumber. Because they would not honor their prices I will never go back to them again.

I can't overstate how wonderful the RH team is. We interviewed a lot of design + build firms and they won out (and were very patient along the way as we went back and forth with questions and requests to meet again... and again). This is the first time we've taken on a project like this and I had a lot of anxiety and concerns, and they helped every step of the way helping me understand the what ifs, the process, the opportunities of when or how to modify decisions, etc. We also have a very shy cat who requires some extra care when strangers are around, and the main builder on our project has been so accomodating and respectful of our needs to support her through the construction, and he ensured all other parties did the same. The quality of craftmanship is outstanding, not just the RH crew but all of their subcontractors as well. You will always hit bumps in the road along the way but I feel like we were in the best hands possible to navigate those bumps. We've had such a stellar experience with RH -- from first inquiries, to design meetings, to the actual work -- that we will 100% return to them for any of our needs, and are already thinking through the next possible project with them.

My family and I had a very unpleasant experience with this business and in particular with the Office Manager Claire DelTufo. We hired them to fix a leaky pipe in my brother's home that we are trying to sell. After the first time around that the two men showed up to "fix" the pipe, my dad took a look at it later on and noticed it was still leaking so he called and asked them to come back - turns out another part was needed because the worker broke that part when trying to work on the pipe so my dad bought it and gave it to them to "finish" the job (we'll see if they decide to charge us for the part my dad bought with his own money based on the conversation I had with Claire which I'll get into momentarily.) We then find out that the pipe is still leaking because an assessor came in and mentioned it. So my dad fixed it as soon as possible as it was clear that Del Tufo Plumbing & Heating is unreliable. I then gave a call to the office and the first woman I spoke to was very pleasant but she said that Claire would have to give us a call back to get more information from us. A couple of minutes later, Claire called us and had an attitude straight off the back. When we explained what happened, she was like "Well what do you want? Money off the bill?". I of course said that would be nice since they didn't actually fix the pipe but she then refused that request in a very loud and aggressive tone. I then said ok to the denial of requesting money off the bill but then asked if she could provide feedback to the men that did the job since they did not actually fix the pipe and I do not want this problem to happen to someone else. She proceeded to scream at me about how she trusts her workers and doesn't understand why she should give them that type of feedback and that we should expect a bill soon. I would not recommend this company to anyone, especially if you need to deal with Claire as she is incredibly mean, rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional.

Had Brian out for an estimate in April. He missed our first appointment, but apologized and showed…read moreup the next day. Personable guy, seemed very knowledgeable and confident he could handle our fence repair. We needed 12 or so posts replaced on our stockade fence, as they had all rotted out. Two weeks later I had to reach out to remind him to send us the estimate. A week after that on 5/8 we accepted the estimate and paid the 50% deposit. On 5/16 I reached out to see when they'd be coming out, Brian said between all the rain and other jobs they were backed up, should be another two weeks. No problem, we were in no rush. In the interim I got sick and spent some time in the hospital, totally forgot about the fence until I got out and went through my old emails, saw that I had been sent a reminder to pay the other half of the invoice for the job that had yet to be done. I texted Brian on 6/20, no response. I called or texted once a day over the next week without any response from Brian. Finally on 6/27 he texted me back "My guys are coming down Monday morning. I apologize. Should be there about nine 10 o'clock." The next day he texted me it would actually be Tuesday morning. Tuesday morning (6/30) came, the crew showed up on time, were very professional and friendly, and did a bang up job. The fence looks great and will hopefully hold up over time! Brian texted a couple times to apologize for the delay and remind me to pay the remaining amount. I told him I needed until I got paid over the weekend to settle up, and he agreed, but also sent an invoice reminder at least once a day, sometimes twice, until I paid ​on Sunday 7/5, which I found ironic since he ghosted me with zero communication for weeks, but was very communicative when it came time to get paid. TL;DR The Fence Solutions estimate was good, and I can't speak highly enough about the crew that came out to actually do the work, but I won't be calling Fence Solutions again after the weeks of zero communication while having our 50% deposit. A weekly update text during that time would have been great, or at the very least a timely response to my texts and calls would have been appreciated.
