This place doesn't even deserve a star!!! I was very unpleased the staff is very unprofessional and as previously mentioned the doctor barely examines to give complete diagnosis then give meds and out the door you go. Then to top it off! The doctor discontinued me as a patient for a $30 dollar balance! I didn't receive my invoice til 3 months later. I think he really cancelled me because I called and disputed a charge that was in error. Then I received a letter of discontinuation. This shows he doesn't care about his patients just the money! I was referred to Dr. Kumar. He and his staff were pleasant, detailed in their communication and efficient. My only critic would be to "kill" the soap opera in the lobby and provide an educational piece on skin care or latest health and dermatology news. His office has easy access with a private parking lot. read more

Love this office, love the staff, and like the environment of the office. Dr. Kumar never live his patient without answering all their question. He gives advices and distillate explanations whatever the patient's questions are. Very professional doctor! I fully satisfied with my service from this office! I'll refer best my friends here!!! Not only best doctor, but with best personality and close attention to every patient! P.S. Unfortunately, opposite patients' reaction of mine due to Soderstrom Skin Institute. I was here first and last time with my son, daughter and husband. Doctors in Soderstrom are not educated in their specialty - narrow specialist of dermatology. I waited an hour for a scheduled visit, then met by very unprofessional staff asking herself "what important questions am I supposed to ask you?" It wasn't until she asked me several questions that were answered on the paperwork she had in had that she told me her ipad wasn't working and so she was trying too remember what she should ask. When DR Manish entered the room he didn't even make eye contact as he started mumbling then I realized he was introducing himself and starting to talk to me. Without even talking to me about what it meant, he dropped the C word about a spot on my face, handed me a pamphlet and said, this is what you have, but I should have cancelled your appointment because of a dispute I'm having with your insurance company so I have to send you somewhere else. I mean, thank you for scaring me to death and taking my money only to send me somewhere else to start the process over. Overall terrible experience and terrible treatment. read more

Okay, normally don't do reviews, but I'm really angry. And this deserves some review. Three weeks ago I went to Dr. Manesh Kumar, dermatologist in bettendorf ia. I was referred to him by my family doctor as a result of voicing concerns about a spot on my shoulder and one on my forearm, and wanted to be evaluated by a specialist in the field. Who wouldn't? Anyway, the two spots were cut and biopsied. no real evaluation on the rest of my body because "those are the areas you are concerned about, and those spots are the ones you came here for". Fast forward to getting the results, the spot on my shoulder wasn't anything to worry about, but the one on my arm, precancerous. Surgery was scheduled for December 16th....too far out in my opinion. I asked if the rest of my body would be checked and was told that I would be checked at a follow up AFTER the surgery. I decided to go to a second doctor to get this taken care of asap..... Went there today and we faxed a release form over to the office of Dr Kumar, the nurse was met with resistance from the staff there, I decided to call myself and let them know that I was in office waiting for surgery and needed the charts sent asap, and the two people I spoke with not only met me with an attitude, but also stated "I would have to pull your chart, and I'm really FAR too busy to do that....i don't know when I'll be able to get to it". So, I was not able to have my needed surgery today....i took the day off in order to do so....on top of that, once they finally get the charts from the office of Dr Kumar, I will be scheduled for my surgery at a later date, causing me to miss ANOTHER day of work. Please share this post and let everyone know not to go to this doctor, as it is obvious to me that the welfare of their patients is the last thing they care for. ... read more

Let me begin by saying it took me three months just to get a new patient appointment. I then waited an HOUR with my son for a ten minute appointment. While Dr Kumar is nice, his staff is not. They were rude at the front desk. Because it was such a long wait for the first visit, I didn't return for my son's follow-up and was charged a $25 no show fee (which I have still not paid and am being sent to collections for). While most doctors might threaten to charge this fee, most do not follow through with it. I would never do business with a doctor that actually charges his patients for no service AND makes them wait that long to see him. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! There are many other dermatologists with better customer service than Dr. Kumar's office!!!!! read more
