There is a very good reason you don't see the number of negative reviews this company deserves!…read more When clients aren't happy (I now understand this to happen a LOT - see REDDIT), OGC offers fairly substantial credits back to compensate the client on the condition the client signs an Non Disclosure Agreement (NDA) specifically preventing the client from saying anything negative at all about the company, or they don't get the credits... We turned down $5000 in credits to be able to do this review. They are very expensive to hire, however their contractors seem to be the cheapest they can find. I held off posting this review (now 10 months) hoping OGC would return to finish the work they failed to complete last summer and agreed to do in the spring... Good thing I didn't hold my breath. Our experience with OGC was terrible after sales. They didn't complete work / deliverables, the Project Manager (PM) they assigned to our project had no clue what we wanted or any desire to learn it, did not supervise the work, and mostly gaslight and argued with us about pretty much everything. His superiors continued the gaslighting and arguing, all while promising the credits for our dissatisfactory experience (you only find out about the NDA at the end). Their Sales department was excellent. Professional looking offices. Professional looking brochures. However the second the contract was signed was the last time the company gave us the impression they cared at all. Before this turns into a novel, simply this: save yourselves the stress and headaches, don't hire this company. The reviews are very misleading (see REDDIT).

However, Jenna always treated us as equals throughout the process. Her great attitude, professionalism, and prompt assistance throughout the process was greatly appreciated. As first-time home sellers, we certainly had a lot of questions, and her expert guidance was greatly appreciated. When we bought our new home together, Jenna was a great resource. It was a long time ago, but - if I recall correctly - we met once for our consultation. My husband and I made it clear that we'd be "picky" and wouldn't settle for much. Jenna recommended a builder to us that day. The following day, she brought the builder's pamphlets to our home and informed us that three lots suddenly became available. We decided to go check it out, just in case, and ended up reserving one of those lots that same day! My experience with Godfrey: - they showed up at 7am and they were gone by 11am (always some kind of excuse). - the foreman ran his mouth, yelling and swearing about how he hated his job and didn't want to be there. - they took over two weeks to finish. They said it was rain and complications... but my neighbour also had a bunch of complications and the other roofing company (MC Roofing) dealt with his concerns right away. - they left nails everywhere and I had to go out myself to clean it up, my mom was getting out of her car and found nails on the driveway. - these guys did a shitty job, when it rains the water drips down one side of the window and wakes everyone up. - one of their sale guys was trying to hook up with me constantly even after I said no... like a hundred times over.

Maureen, Godfrey's exceptional office manager had promised to "try to see what she could arrange" though she could see that the firm's teams were all booked on other jobs for the day. Clearly, her colleagues think as much of her as I do that they responded to her request to try to see what they could do to help a client. I've hired Godfrey to redo my roof a few years ago and was very satisfied, though i was too busy to provide online feedback at the time I've also hired them to clad all of my soffit and fascia this spring. Meanwhile though, the construction of a new building right beside my home caused an ice dam which had just started to melt and leak through the floors of my home. I had been panicking... The troublesome area has all been cleared, and the falling ice was all scooped up and tidied up to a back corner of the lot. And I can now enjoy a restful weekend... I am grateful beyond words.
