I chose M&S for their price and presentation for my new roof in October of 2021. The first…read moreimpression was very good. After getting 3 bids, (two of them had $95 for each sheet of Plywood, and the first 3 sheets free),I had M&S match that and put it in writing. They were $125 per sheet with none free originally. I really needed a Saturday install due to work issues and my Great Dane would need to be out of house, and Mark promised that. That was the first issue. He did not keep that promise. It had to be on a Friday. I'm flexible, so okay. I took off work. The team that actually did the job was GREAT. That was nice. However, when they left, I walked the perimeter and found that 2 of my flood lights had been broken and knocked down. Also, they did not reconnect a downspout that I requested be fixed while they were up there, (I told them I would pay extra, as it had just been knocked off during a recent storm.) Mark had promised that as well. Oh well. The roof looked great. Good materials. But the price was CLEARLY padded. When I got the final bill a week or so later. Only 5-6 full pieces of Plywood were used. I counted! Mark even went up and checked the ones in question to save me money. The bill said that 11 were used. Not true. Again, barely 6 full sheets were used, But the bill said 11 were used. In the end I paid for eight sheets of wood. I paid in full. Ten days later Mark texts me and says he lost my check for $8,000!!! I had to leave work to go to bank to stop payment. Then I had to go in person to their office to reissue a check. That was a big problem for me. But I'm understanding, so I told them we could schedule the gutters next, for which I had received 3 bids also. Their first bid was for $3,600 ish, with guards. I asked for a price without the guards and it went down to around $2,400. I told them to schedule it,mid November and that's where I started getting the run around. I finally got Mark to commit to last Tuesday, but I had to change it for to work. I figured that would not be a problem because I had been so understanding and flexible this whole time. I asked for this coming Tuesday the 25th and it has been 8 days and I have not heard from M&S contracting. I have called emailed and sent numerous texts. I guess I'm going to go elsewhere now.

I got his name and number from my vet actually so I had to cancel the appointment because water was pouring out of my ceiling which I thought was a roofing issue from my porch. It turned out that it was a heating pipe that split. My daughter told me that the floor upstairs was soaked. I ran upstairs I pulled up the carpet and it was scolding to the touch. There was a lot of steam coming off the floor. I ended up calling the fire company going way over the extreme, but by that point I had already called Dale Rimmer. He ended up getting here as fire company was leaving ( which was 20 minutes ) He did explain on the phone that it was probably just steam coming off the floor. He remained with me at the house until I had somebody able to come out and fix the pipe( the fire company turned off my boiler as it was pouring water into my house). I'm also leaving a review for my Fire company. I've never needed them in all my years living here, but they were downright amazing and the same thing with the police downright amazing. I cannot be thankful enough for my community and the fact that Dale was the voice a reason and calmness in my crazy day.!!!

Several siding contractors we called said they only did siding. Dale said he had contractors that he has worked with for years that could do the stone work and build the new porch. Dale was involved during the entire process and the stone mason and carpenter he brought in were great. The porch and stone work turned out better than we expected. We also had a new flagstone walkway installed and our deck refurbished. The new siding, gutters and downspouts completed the makeover of our home's exterior. Dale was personally involved and was quick to answer and questions or concerns we had. All of the people took pride in their work and the results show it.

Jenson came by to look at the roof and said he would send someone to reattach the siding. That was December 3rd. I have reached out to the company several times but get no response. They do a nice job, but obviously don't care once the work is complete. If this is how they treat a return customer I can't recommend this company.

The owner then left the country and sent his father to do the work. Afterward, I received a call from a third party claiming to be the contractor, threatening to remove the scupper unless payment was made immediately -- completely unacceptable and alarming. The repair failed. I still have active water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage to my home. This company showed a serious lack of professionalism, oversight, and accountability. The workmanship did not resolve the problem, and the billing tactics were concerning. Homeowners - proceed with extreme caution! Verify who is performing the work, how payments are handled, and whether the company is operating to proper standards. ----------------------------- Your response contains multiple inaccuracies ... First, your claim that you "tried calling me multiple times" is false. You never called me. I have no missed calls, voicemails, or call logs from you after the work. What I do have is a saved voicemail left on 4/11/25, immediately after the work was performed. Second, your statement about nonpayment is also false. I paid a deposit on 4/04/25 and made final payment on 4/18/25. Both payments were made by credit card, and I have full documentation proving this. At no point was payment withheld "for over a month," and suggesting otherwise is simply untrue. Third, the call threatening to remove the scupper came from a third party claiming to be associated with you, and it occurred after the work was completed and while payment had already been made. Regardless of how you now characterize it, that call was inappropriate and alarming, and it happened under your company's name. Finally, the scupper installation you recommended did not resolve the leak. I continue to have water intrusion, and it has caused interior damage. Shifting blame to "the rest of the roof" does not change the fact that the specific repair you proposed and performed failed to correct the issue it was meant to fix. I am stating verifiable facts, supported by payment records and saved voicemail evidence. Any implication that I am misrepresenting events is incorrect. If you wish to discuss this further, it should begin with an acknowledgment of these facts.

I hired Munz Roofing and Siding to complete a siding project, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. From the start, their consultant, Stephen M., came out and provided helpful education, a thorough walkthrough, zero pressure, and a timely quote for several different product options. Munz ultimately provided the best quote among the three local companies that came out. Eric G., their general manager, also came out to review the plan and clearly outlined the steps they would take to protect our garden beds during the siding removal and installation. That level of communication and attention to detail gave us a lot of confidence going into the project. Project Manager Chris and installer Oleg then completed the project in 9.5 days, which was even half a day ahead of their original 10-day estimate. Chris checked in every day to see if we had any questions or concerns, and Oleg's work was outstanding. His craftsmanship and attention to detail were top notch, and he spent at least a half hour cleaning up every day before leaving. One thing that really stood out was that Oleg took the time to point out how well the previous siding job had been done when the house was built about 40 years ago. He noted that the original wrapping had been applied with meticulous precision, which helped explain why there was minimal water damage to the existing boards. That honesty was appreciated, especially because there was never a moment where the crew attempted to upsell us on unnecessary work. Overall, Munz was professional, honest, communicative, and highly skilled from start to finish. I could not recommend this company enough. My parents hired a different contractor at first and ended up getting fired after 2 days on the job. We should have went with Munz from the beginning. They fixed everything the other group messed up and then completed the job that was intended. My parents had their cedar shake siding replaced with Hardie siding and their house looks brand new! Freddy, Dastan, and Talay were a great team. They worked so hard every day they were here and were meticulous in their work. They were so helpful with other things as well. A few times they would see me trying to lift something heavy and one of them came right over and said let me get that for you. Freddy was such a sweet guy in charge and if you ever needed anything you could always just give him a call. The guys cleaned up every day after they worked even when it started to rain on them which happened a few times. These guys were the best and we are so happy with the work they did.
