Lovely restaurant. Great food. Good service too, and although there is no dedicated parking, Eagles Meadow is only a stone's throw away.

We eat here quite often, always taking advantage of the banquet for £9.99p. It's nice food at at a reasonable price.

Ok so let's get this out there first, yeah I'm a yank and I drove up to Wrexham because of Rob and…read moreRyan buying the football team. Well with that out of the way, after a day walking around the town, visiting the Turf and looking in at the Stadium...I wanted to get a nice pub dinner. I was looking for some other place that turned out the be closed, and then rounded a corner and saw the Nags Head. Earlier in the day I tried to get a Guiness at The Turf, but they had run out, probably because they had a game the night before and the taps were drained. The Nags Head had my dark gold in a glass. They also had a wonderful Chicken pie with peas and roast potatoes. Just a perfect pub dinner. The place seemed to be filled with happy locals, probably a bunch who were tired of seeing american tourists like me taking up space in their favorite pub. It's ok guys, I'm home now so you can get your seat back. The Nags head was a wonderful pub in a nice Wales town that is having a moment in the limelight....enjoy it folks, it probably won't last.

There's a mixed clientele ranging from youngsters on their way into town to older people drinking their pension away. Its not the most child friendly place and when my one year old daughter had a good shout in there it was made clear that she wasn't welcome. But that's fine, not every pub has to be a family pub. The Nags head does two quiz nights a week and hosts a folk night upstairs every fortnight. One of the few places in Wrexham where you can hear live music. Worth a visit.

It's clean and inviting with delicious food served in the restaurant. I could not recommend this establishment more.

We found this place to be lovely, nicely decorated, and the staff was quite attentive. Give it we were the only people in the entire restaurant, a party of maybe 16, but it was still nice. We were given the option of pork, salmon, or a cauliflower steak. My husband chose the pork and since we like to try each other's dishes I felt the need to try the cauliflower because it really sounded interesting. I wasn't disappointed, it was quite good, with pomegranates and almond slivers, and some sort of puree on the bottom. Amazing flavors considering most of the food we had in the UK was bland. For dessert it was a choice of sticky toffee or a passionfruit kiwi sorbet. We once again had one of each and my husband's sticky toffee won hands down. Our table raved about that dessert. I saw that this establishment doesn't have the best reviews, but we found it to be an enjoyable evening and was quite satisfied with our experience.
