My experience with an online class through The Shift Network with Marie Manuchehri was the same as…read morethe other reviewer (Lisa S.) who also took a class from her. I paid $1800 for her "Advanced Energy Healing" class thinking I would learn something to add to my existing energy healing business. I mostly got a lot of new age philosophy and Marie talking about herself and her life. However what really triggered me more than the lack of genuine "advanced healing techniques (which was really a mix a reiki, jin shin jyutsu, and Inna Segal's work) It really disturbed me a few times what she claims she was taught by "her guides". For example, she taught that before we came to this life that we chose to sexually abused, murdered, commit suicide, etc. as part of our soul learning. After this particular lesson, one woman in the class wrote on the class Facebook page that she was leaving the class because she couldn't emotionally handle the belief that she had chosen the abuse she had experienced and the poor woman came to the conclusion that she was "not spiritually evolved enough" to handle it. How is that healing to tell your clients? Another teaching was that "young souls" are the cause of the bad human behavior we witness on this planet and if you were taking her class then you were likely "an old soul" because you were more spiritually evolved. Wow what a way to teach us to look down at others and pat ourselves on the back! Another beef I had: she also used this as a forum for her political beliefs (as the other reviewer Nicole B. mentioned) which I thought had no place in a class for helping energy healers improve their practice. As for the Shift Network, they did give me a $900 tuition aid (they would not call it a partial refund) after I complained, which is partly my fault. You can take the first 3 classes and a get a full refund so if you are tempted to take her class, make sure to get your refund by the end of the third class if you aren't satisfied.

I signed up for her online class with the Shift Network on Medical Intuition. Then I listened to my…read moreintuition and quit afte the third class. Mostly it was all stories from her practice and life and some generalities. She also did a reading of some students. I did not find these demonstrations helpful as her only advice to do readings was to look for light. There was very little substance when it came to practical advice, skill bulding, or shared expertise. She seems to genuinely want to share positivity and help people heal. But talking on and on about her work and sharing generalities about intuition (eg in two seperate classes she threw out that a person's aura is 2 city blocks in size) did not give me any actual tools to increase my medical intuition. I did not go deep during her guided meditations, either. Perhaps it has to do with how much she talks, how rapidly and how her voice sounds like it's projected from up in her head rather than deep in her soul. I requested a refund and hopefully will get one so I can try a different teacher. I took another class on Shift that was superb.

I sought out Tina Huang because I have dental PTSD and was facing another dental procedure. In my…read morefirst appointment, I was debating out loud about whether to pay for individual appointments, or to buy the package, because the difference in cost per appointment was a lot. Seeing me debating, she said if I didn't think it was helping we could just convert from package back to individual appointments. It sounded easy. What ensued was this. I had a good experience with my procedure, and told her so, and told her I'm not sure if the work she did helped but I was willing to entertain that it might have. I planned to continue working with her in the future in case it was part of what was helpful. (There were a lot of factors that could have played into it, including that my new dentist is a truly wonderful person and I felt incredibly safe, and also that for the first time I used Ibuprofen and tylenol the night before and again an hour before my procedure. From subsequent experiences, I have more and more reason to believe this has made a huge impact on my experience of pain during dental procedures.). I asked if we could convert the package back to individual appointments. I also mentioned I was planning on pursuing hyperthermia therapy for Lyme. Here is one excerpt from our email exchange: Tina wrote "I'm not willing to refund you based on email exchanges alone. I know that you had tremendous progress with me, and I have the ability to help you continue to heal. It's very common in my line of work for clients to want to quit once they are on the verge of true transformation. I know this is true for you...it would be unethical for me to let you give up this easily when I know that I can make a huge difference in your health." Here's another excerpt: Tina wrote "I was hoping I could have saved you a ton of money. But you didn't give me the chance to show you what was possible. I"m baffled as to why you didn't give me a chance and decided to fly all the way to Germany for an expensive procedure when you had a far more affordable option. I do have a history of being able to help people when nothing else will." I feel quite comfortable with "out there" therapies on my complex health journey. But any possibility that I would continue working with her in the future was more than tanked by this email exchange. She did not convert my package back to individual appointments; it was a loss to the tune of about $1200. Part of the problem was that her criteria for giving me my money back was if I didn't think it was helping. And the truth is, I don't know if it helped or not, and that's what I told her. I couldn't feel anything when she worked with me, I didn't have a felt sense of whether it was working or not. There was no plan on her part for this scenario, and I think she should have (still should) refund my money. If others get a lot out of seeing her, I'm glad for that. I hope for her healing and prosperity as much as my own. I'm writing this so that others may know that after my two appointments, the "container" changed dramatically. If you decide to work with her, I'd recommend paying as you go rather than buying the package.

I used Bluestone Psychological Services for an approximately two month period from September to…read moreNovember 2021. I was having some resurgent trauma-related problems from being assaulted in the past and was seeking guidance through them. Calling to set up an appointment was straightforward, I had read the online profiles of the professionals and asked if I could see someone in particular (as of writing this review on Saturday 17 June 2023, the person is no longer listed as working at Bluestone). After describing my situation to the receptionist, they said that it sounded like the person I was requesting could be a good fit. So we scheduled an intake appointment in an online format due to the COVID-19 pandemic. At the first appointment we set up weekly sessions thereafter until I was feeling confident enough to part ways with the therapy about two months later. I received a bit of talk and EMDR therapy in my sessions. The therapist was never short with me and I found the treatment effective for helping me work through my problems. She was professional in our sessions and never prying. I have continued to use some of the things I learned in the sessions after stopping the therapy sessions.

I felt that she was very impersonal and straight to the point. I never felt that much compassion from her. In addition, I felt that she did not have great bedside manner or manners with me at all. I felt her customer service to me was not that great. I had to cancel at the last minute a couple of times due to an emergency, and the practice and Dr. Peng told me they had to charge me a fee. Bluestone showed me no mercy, and Dr. Peng did not seem to show me any either. I felt that she also did not properly understand my conditions either. I also didn't like that when I made no follow up appointments with her that Dr. Peng reached out to me multiple times and asked me if I was interested in continuing with her. Well obviously, if I have not called you or made an appointment with the practice in months, it's evident I am no longer interested. In the end, I am glad I left. I would not recommend this practice or Dr. Peng at all. In my opinion, they have no understanding for when life situations come up and I did not feel there was good communication or compassion towards patients either by either Dr. Peng or the staff of bluestone.
