Dr. Park is amazing. Always had a lot of ankle issue from basketball and he would be the person that would give e me good advise. Knowing that it wasn't a hard choice one where to take my son when he sprained his ankle. Got him on the right track and he is back to his normal activities. Dr. Park performed bunion surgery on my left foot in Dec. '20. I am super active and had postponed surgery for years for fear of being offline for too many months. COVID turned out to be the right time for me, and Dr. Park treated me as a whole human being. Dr. Park is incredibly kind & caring. He suggested natural, conservative remedies to my issues, instead of just cutting into me or prescribing aggressive medication. My pain & discomfort has been resolving without nasty side effects, and I am very appreciative of that. Scheduling with the office is a bit of a challenge, because they do not have online scheduling or a way to fill out forms online, but it is worth the hurdle to see a doctor who genuinely cares about the well-being of his patients. This is definitely not a place that tries to get you in and out as fast as possible - everyone on the team is patient, caring, and delightful. The front desk person (forgot her name) was especially sweet and bubbly - she even came outside and sat down with me to help me fill out the forms because I was unable to do so by hand. BEWARE of Dr. Park and his strong-arm office manager Lauren. Wish I'd have read the other yelp reviewer Alina's cautionary remarks before seeing him for a small issue due to being flat footed. Between my insurance payments (over $300), and their forcing me to pay an additional $600 out of pocket, they got $1,000 richer and I got a ripoff pair of flimsy, cheaply made junk insoles that are nothing but foam (so thin that you could wrap around a pencil) attached to a small heel wedge. Too late, I discovered New Balance Shoes in Bellevue has a similar machine that you step on to get a great pair of custom insoles for $50 that are much more well made and affordable. Dr. Park gave me a big sales pitch for getting his insoles and had me sign a form which I didn't realize obligated me to pay $600 out of pocket. I'm a senior citizen who didn't have my reading glasses when I was there (my fault). Lauren, his office manager, didn't care about that and said if I didn't pay she could add whatever she wanted in late fees until I paid and picked up the insoles and added $1 per day to my bill even when we were trying to work with them (Dr. Park never budged on the bill). Also, in the office visit Dr. Park stated that if I needed to come back to have a little sliced off the insole to make it fit better that it wouldn't be another office visit charge and another $50 co-pay. Lauren said no, she would charge for every visit no matter what Dr. Park said. Dr. Curda founded this clinic with great care, honesty, and fairness. Now Dr. Park is taking over and Eastside Podiatry is about nothing but ripoff profits. I'm embarrassed at being suckered in to paying this huge amount that is not in my budget for something I really didn't need (and don't wear). The office should be honest and have people pay upfront so there is no misunderstanding about what the cost will be, and then refund the small difference if insurance pays at all (which they usually don't). read more

I came to Dr.Park to order a replacement of my orthotics. My previous orthotics needed to be renewed. My feet hurt. I told Dr.Park about the purpose of my visit right away: why waste time. I thought he'd take measurements at that visit. By the way, making an appointment with Dr.Park isn't easy. He is pretty busy; he works 4 days a week 9 to 4 with a 1-hour-15-minute lunch break at your lunch time. So, you'd have to wait for a good 4 weeks for an appointment early in the day. Dr.Park spent the 1st appointment to tell me that my old orthotics were no good and needed replacement (that's exactly what I told him why I came!). When I finally could interrupt him to ask if he was going to take measurements now, he said he was not, because there's no time and also that the insurance will not cover the measurements taken at first visit. He gave me codes to check with the insurance that they'd cover them, and that's it. I asked my insurance if they'd cover the measurements taken at first visit, and they said, OF COURSE, why not. They said the doctors say so to get paid twice: for the first consultation and for the visit when the measurements are taken. Of course, they cover orthotics. 2nd appointment I was able to make only in several weeks, because the only available time within the nearest weeks was 1.30. At the second appointment, Dr.Park did take measurements. I told him I wear full-length orthotics, because I take the original sole out, and I need something to cover the bottom of the shoe and the inner seams so that they don't rub my feet. He said full-length costs $500-600. Not cheap, but if it's comfortable and my pain is relieved... I also said that my orthotics have a drop-shaped support in the middle of the foot and that I found it useful. For shoes that I cannot wear with orthotics (like sandals) I even stick this drop-shaped support to the shoe, because otherwise my feet hurt. Finally, I gave Dr.Park my current orthotics so that the new ones would fit into my current shoes. Obviously, paying $500-600 for custom-made orthotics made by a doctor, I want them to fit into my shoes. A week later the orthotics were ready. Dr.Parks' assistant said I can pick them up if I pay $500 upfront. Why, the insurance must have covered most of it. Turns out, they never sent a bill to the insurance. So, asked them to bill the insurance. Checked a week later - they did nothing. Phoned several times before they finally billed the insurance. A month later I finally got my orthotics which Dr.Park said would be ready in a week. (And the lab did make them within a week, but his office failed to process the bill in a timely manner!) The orthotics were at least size 10, whereas mine is 8. They even took my current orthotics that fit into all my shoes to make sure they make the new ones the right size. When I picked up the new orthotics, they said I could cut them myself. Orthotics that cost $500. I said I'm afraid to damage them, so a nurse agreed to help me. She took a permanent marker and outlined my foot on the orthotics. She cut the orthotics and gave them to me. Not difficult to guess, the permanent marker got onto my fingers, toes, and my shoes. Clearly, the nurse didn't know what she was doing. 4 weeks later I came in for a check. The orthotics only fit into one pair of my shoes, because they are very thick, all other shoes are now too tight to squeeze my feet into it. My joints and toes started to hurt. I couldn't walk comfortably. As Dr.Park opened the door, he didn't let me say anything. He started talking himself. He said that he'd done a great job and I should remember that he did everything according to my requirements. If he had been to decide how to make my orthotics, he would have made them differently. WHAT??? When I come to a doctor, I expect him to treat me, not follow my preferences. I did not insist on anything, I just gave him my symptoms. He also added some lies about me saying that I do sports a lot (unfortunately, I do not!), and he made athletic orthotics for me because of that. He jumped off his seat and raised his voice. Finally, he said he'd send the orthotics back to the lab to make changes, but I'd have to pay for it, because the lab did everything according to his instructions. Well, there's no fault of the lab. HIS instructions were wrong! And he obviously realizes that, otherwise why not let your patient say anything and shut them up right as he walks into the door. 2 weeks later I receive a message from his office: my orthotics are ready. I call them back to ask if they billed my insurance as I'd told them to. They say, 'No, the insurance might not cover it.' So, I ask them again. They say, 'We've just received the bill from the lab.' So, which is it? They just received it or they are not willing to send it to the insurance? I asked if they're finally going to bill the insurance now that they'd received the bill from the lab. They hang up. 'Goodbye' and hang up. How do you like this service? read more

The short story: Highlights: -Seattle Top Doc -Experienced trauma surgeon, and podiatrist -Spectacular reviews (except for one, and, that experience is so different from mine and those I personally know that saw Dr. Park) -Quick scheduling at his office for emergency appts. -Kind, good-natured, approachable doctor -Nice, clean office -Clear instructions and follow-up -Made a really cool donation for an auction I was co-hosting. I ended up losing money on the whole thing because I bought it for my mom :) -Nice staff -Easy parking, right out front -Very detailed information about insurance, pricing, etc. -Great results Lowlights: Not really a lowlight, but sometimes you have to wait to see someone great. if you are the kind of person who wants to be seen RIGHT AWAY, on a very rare occasion it takes a few weeks to get in because this doc is so popular, doesn't rush through patients, and is so thorough. If you want that kind of doctor, then, you might have to wait a couple of weeks. There are only so many hours in a day. In fact, I have referred SEVEN people, all of whom adored him and benefited from his work. He is exceptionally calm, thorough, affable, knowledgeable and gets great results. My daughter was about 5 when she saw Dr. Park for orthotics. He really talked TO her, and put her at ease. By the end of the appointment, she was giggly and happy. No, she did not LOVE wearing orthotics at first, but in time, they became second nature. After about a year of wearing them, I noticed major improvements in her feet and ankles. Dr. Park is an excellent, caring, and knowledgeable physician who takes time to thoroughly explain the nature of the problem and offers many alternative therapies for the condition. He does not rush the visit nor does he seem to rush into surgery. I have seen him on two different occasions with separate problems and always left knowing exactly what was going on and time to make decisions about what I wanted to do. Apparently Dr. Curda (who also has an amazing reputation) sold his practice to Dr. Park. Based upon Curda's reputation, I gave Dr. Park a try. He was a foot trauma surgeon in California before moving here, and seems to know his stuff. He took time to answer all of my questions (I had a lot), and was extremely personable. Easy parking, and little wait time when I arrived. FYI, take note of the street address, because the sign is a bit hidden. Dr. Ted Park was voted by his colleagues as one of Seattle's Top Doctors. I wholeheartedly trust his expertise and really appreciate the fact that he is both knowledgable and empathetic as a caregiver. I went to him after an injury to my ankle and not only did he treat the area, he took the time to listen and explain what/how I injured the area, how I can expedite the healing process, and what precautionary measures I should be taking. After that ankle healed up, I went back to him after another accident where I had glass wedged deep into my foot. He is incredibly skilled at what he does and I can not recommend this doctor enough. I saw Dr. Curda after a fall down the stairs left me with an ankle sprain and a small fracture in my foot while I was out of town. The out of town urgent care gave me crutches and spent 30 seconds to diagnose the issue. Dr. Curda was able to get me in as soon as I called when I was back in town. He was phenomenal and took the time to explain what happened, a reasonable treatment plan, and tips to be more comfortable, as I am pregnant. He spent a good 20 minutes with me and got to know me, as a patient. I am so thankful that I saw him and now know what the recovery looks like down the road. I recommend seeing Dr. Curda for any of your podiatry needs or concerns!! It's rare to see a doctor that really care about their patients these days, and Dr. Curda is one in a million! read more

Beyond his technical expertise, he made my experience as a patient very pleasant. My son and I are both patients of Dr. Park. I can assure you that you will be impressed by his warm, knowledgeable, professional and accessible style. He is engaging with my son and recently had an in-depth conversation with him about Harry Potter while fitting him for orthotics. I recently had foot surgery and found his instructions so detailed it was almost unnecessary for post surgery phone call...which wasn't just one quick call - in addition to his lovely office staff checking in, Dr. Park called me several nights in a row and took his time during these calls to ensure I was healing. I should also mention Dr. Curda, who works in the same office. While I'm not a patient of Dr. Curda's that didn't stop him from coming in during my surgery with a pillow for my head and chatting about a book I was reading. When I returned to the office for a post-op appointment Dr. Curda had a book for me that he thought I would enjoy based on our conversation! This practice authentically cares and treats each patient with warm respect. When coming home from my appointment, I was singing their praises and jokingly told my husband to come up with some sort of foot problem, just so he would have an opportunity to experience this clinic ; ) read more

Excellent doctors! My doctor, Dr. Park was voted Top Doc in Seattles Best Doctors magazine so that pretty much says it all. They are nice and actually listen instead of hurrying through like most doctors. Its kind of a boutique medical practice pretty upscale location. Would recommend to anyone, I actually have sent two family members there already! read more
