This place has to be a joke and not a serious business. Been trying to get ahold of the office for a month (since mid September) to schedule an appointment with no luck. No one ever picks up the phone or returns your call, no matter what time of day or what day of week you call. Their voicemail greeting tells you to text a different number for service, and between multiple texts over a month I received only one reply.. to call the office to schedule an appointment. I think a month of calls and texts and voicemails is enough effort on my part. Going somewhere else instead. read more

I was referred to DR Wilson for a severe pain in my left foot. DR Wilson diagnosed the issue after only one visit. DR Wilson then set up a 3 step plan that worked on different variables that were causing the problem. After my final visit I was pain free with a plan for the future to set me up for success. August, 2020 Dr Ichikawa, After searching long for a procedure that I could find agreeable to myself I found you and the staff at Bellevue Podiatric Physicians. The pain in my left foot I had right up to the day of surgery, December 06, 2019 was significant enough that I would not have been able to work through the end of the year. The Syndesmosis Bunionectomy is a miracle procedure after researching other procedures historically done for persons with the same condition as I suffered. The pain from the wounds of surgery were insignificant in comparison to the pain caused by the bunion I had been living with and I'd say my over-all relief immediately after surgery was better than 50% within 24 hours. I came for orthotics, wait time is extremely long 30-60 minutes. I miss the old crew of ladies back in 2017. Now, theyve got a bunch of newbies just to fill the slot it seems like the turn overs are high. What concerns me the most is the knowledge of Dr. Wilson when approached with a question. Though I only communicated with Dr. Ichikawa & his clinic via phone and email, I was thoroughly impressed with how organized, honest and patient they were. I was looking to have surgery with Dr. Ichikawa for the syndesmosis bunionectomy - a surgery only three surgeons in the world are trained to do. Unfortunately, my special medical conditions revealed that I was not the right candidate for this procedure. However, the team knew this going in and had emphasized I see a specialist for safety reasons before having surgery. They were gracious enough to go over all my concerns and snag my appointment dates before confirming 100% I would be eligible for this procedure. Had I been healthy enough for this surgical method, I have no doubt Dr. Doug would have taken great care of me. He really did go above & beyond to make sure this surgery would be a safe bet. I would not hesitate to recommend him to others. read more

I had my son in today for a bruised heel, the doctor took care of everything, no complaints there. However, Tracy the lady at the front desk was extremely rude, and completely unhelpful. She stated that she would get to my concern "when she had time" they have a lot of patients in and out of the office and didn't know when she would get to it. I told her that I would be willing to find another office, if this wasn't possible; she didn't seem to mind and told me to have a nice day. I must say that Dr Doug Ichikawa who I was referred too, I will never see again. I went to get some relief from 2 hangnails on my big toes. I told the doctor that I was very fearful of any bleeding on my toes because of type 1 diabetes. Dr Ichikawa, like some doctors today, or more interested in getting to the next patient and recommending expensive procedures than taking the time necessary to help someone with what is really needed. After the doctor quickly trimmed off the edge of my toenail I left. Within a week the toe was painful again when walked on it. I returned to see Dr Ichikawa and said that he didn't do the job. He was frustrated and suggested that I should have a procedure where they remove the complete side of the toenail. I told him that I had been warned by a very good doctor back in Michigan that this procedure can cause more problems than it solves. The doctor once again did a quick job of my toes and sent me on my way. He also, said that if I wasn't willing to do the procedure he wanted to perform do not return! In a few days, ​I took off the bandage on my toe to see that he cut off almost a quarter of my toenail! I was freaking--blood and type 1 diabetes--was I going to lose a toe. Fortunately, I had an appointment scheduled with my family doctor and she assured me that my toes would heal. I was so pissed at Ichikawa, to take the liberty to butcher so much of my toenail and cause bleeding while doing so. I would not recommend him to anyone--actually, I would recommend staying away from the greedy butcher! read more

If you need orthotics, have bunions or ingrown toenails, then Doug is your guy. I liked him a lot, but I had a bad experience and had to have my surgery revised by a foot and ankle orthopedist. I knew quickly after surgery that my foot and Achilles' tendon wasn't healing right. The pain never was less than before surgery and was actually worse. Doug discouraged me from getting a second opinion even 7 months post surgery when I could barely walk or work. He didn't order an MRI before surgery and either didn't know going in how bad my foot and ankle were or post-surgery my foot deteriorated rapidly. My Achilles' tendon didn't reattach. My tendons were scarred and thickened and bone had grown where my tendon should have healed. So I did get a second opinion and have a second surgery with Thomas Chi MD. I called Doug's office to give him the results of my MRI and tell him I needed the revision, and he never called me back. This to me indicates that he was more concerned about me suing him than he was about perhaps learning something from my experience. I think surgeries can not work, but what I really take issue with is him not doing an MRI, not casting my foot after surgery (no protection in case of a fall and greatly reduced the pain), discouraging me from getting a second opinion, and then not returning my call when I wanted to tell him the results of my second opinion. If you need surgery that involves bone, tendons, and muscles, please see a foot and ankle orthopedist instead of a podiatrist. I went through more than two years of pain before my foot issue was resolved. Four months post second surgery, I am doing well. Also, his back office girl, Deborah is lovely, but his front office person doesn't return calls, doesn't follow up on things and is generally rude. read more

You will be hard pressed to find a better podiatrist than Dr. Suzanne Wilson. She is a superior physician and a tremendous person; period!

I had a long and protracted bout of plantar fasciitis in both feet and Dr. Doug tried conservative treatment first, before resorting to surgery, which was successful. I have been seeing him periodically since 1998, and have been more than satisfied. The only problem I had was with post-surgical pain in one foot. I paged Dr. Doug and although he was away for the weekend with his family, he returned my call immediately, decided that I had gotten an improper nerve block, and prescribed Vicodin. He called it in to my pharmacy and after that, I had no pain at all. He also removed two ingrown toenails and prepared custom orthotics. My husband had a large papilloma removed from the underside of his big toe, and once again, no pain, no swelling and no infection. The only improvement I could make for his practice is the front office woman, mentioned by others as being rude. She doesn't even turn around to acknowledge patients at the counter and seems to dress inappropriately for working in a professional setting. read more
