This place is breathtaking. Especially during the holidays you find beautifully decorated Christmas trees in every hall. There's an ice skating ring in front of the building to get you into the seasons mood. The rooms are quaint, clean and cozy. Actually particularly the tiling in the bathroom and the size of the bathroom are amazing. We spent a lot of time at the bar area and the spa. The spa is equipped with a steam room and a sauna. The sauna was no more than 40 Celsius. The steam room was okay in terms of heat. The jacuzzi was lukewarm at best. The pool was well heated and you can swim nice long lapse. The fitness studio is equipped with techno gym equipment, lots of weight equipment, even TRX, a rowing machine and much more. It has a good size. You find towels and water there (not always a given). I very much enjoyed the changing area, which offered GHD blow dryers. The staff (including the facilities guy Dell and the front desk lady Ella) were soooo kind. Big thank you to them. We were a bit disappointed at breakfast. The service was super slow and the selection often limited (because the staff didn't have time to refill quickly). We waited about 20 mins on tea and coffee at breakfast. What also bothered me a bit was how cold it was in many parts of the main building. The insulation is rather sparse in these older buildings. The windows are single paneled. If you sit in the bar area, you're guaranteed to feel a cold shiver sitting by the window area. read more

Excellent, say no more. But I will say more, obviously. Everything was nigh on perfect. Service was absolutely exemplary, from ALL the staff without being obsequious. They couldn't be more helpful or approachable. The hotel itself is an outstanding building (reached it's current incarnation during the Edwardian time I believe). Surrounded by 3,000 acres including a golf course. We went for a wedding, so didn't sample the golf course, or the Spa, or the conference facilities etc, but the formal gardens are well cared for and a great backdrop to the photos! And the food, a subject very close to my heart; was brilliant. My wife is on a non-lactose, non-gluten diet and of a 5 course meal on offer, she was able to have ... 5 courses. OK, we had to advise them in advance, but the adaptation was without fault. It's the first time my wife has been able to have a full meal at a restaurant/hotel for years! Oh, almost forgot the accommodation; we stayed in one of the mews cottages for the Saturday night; excellent! due largely as a result of the housekeeping, a lot of which goes on behind the scenes, but as I said the staff were all amazing. The only downside is that we live in Somerset and Eastwell Manor is, of course in Kent, so we won't be going there too often, but distance is the only barrier. A wonderful setting, with a log burning fire that smells Devine. This is a manor house that is straight out of a period drama. The staff were helpful, and very polite especially Ryan, however the sandwiches were limited and not really enough for 5, and we had to ask for more as we were still hungry which we also had to pay for. I will say the cakes and scones definitely made up for the lack of sandwiches. This is really a beautiful location and the grounds are amazing, well worth a walk round after stuffing your face with clotted cream and cake. Would have given 5 stars if we didn't have to pay for the extra sangers. read more

This fabuous hotel provides the most fantastic set lunch menus in its restaurant. Pre-lunch drinks can be taken in the bar where you sink into deep, leather sofas and warm yourself by the fire. The food is exceptionally good quality, served impeccably, in top-class surroundings.Coffee can be taken in the lounge, in front of another log fire, accompanied by hme-made petit-fours. Rooms: very run down decor, wall paper ripped, carpets stained, bed so uncomfortable. The iron lead was damaged, no Pat test stickers on any electrical items, the hair dryer was missing its back component and ended up with my hair trapped inside. The dust collected behind pictures and radiators was disgusting. Bathroom: dirty, mouldy stained bath, dirty bath Matt, limescale in toilets, toilet doesn't flush properly. The bath is not made for showering in, slippy and narrow, and so minging we opted to take showers over at the spa! No slippers in room just flip flops, dressing robes were hard and old. Restaurant, bad service, forgetful staff, not attentive. Grounds, half the grounds are beautiful, the rest slabs are broken, and left which is unsafe, bird poo everywhere, broken benches. We came for a walk at 10am Sunday morning and beer bottles/glasses were left laying around. Surely these should have been cleaned up by this time? On arrival our tiles on our bath were broken, we informed reception immediately, we were told someone would be up to fix and clean the mess, however no one came during the 3 days we were there! The hotel had no water supply throughout Saturday, from morning until late evening. No apologies! We came down for lunch and was told lunch had been cancelled and everyone had been informed included us! No we hadn't we would not have been standing there if we had! Told to visit champneys for lunch, champneys advised they had told Eastwell to not send anyone there as they also had no water, we had to drive to the nearest restaurant for lunch. In the bar I had a vodka and lemonade and my husband had a beer the total came to £14.00. Staff spilling drinks, dropping glasses forgetting orders, and not knowing what cocktails are and not being able to make any! The bar wasn't even busy, but they couldn't cope with 1 order! At breakfast time my breakfasts came, they had forgot the beans, and then I had to wait another 7 minutes for someone to appear to ask for sauce, then another 10 minutes waiting for the bread to be bought out despite 2 requests. The glasses were still dirty Sunday morning, and the glass juice jug was cracked yet still being used At our anniversary dinner on Saturday my brother in law had arranged and paid for us to have a message and a bottle of £80 champagne during our meal, we never received this. And we weren't even wished a happy anniversary. No one offers you drinks during meal, we asked for water and never received any, we weren't offered bread rolls when every one else was. We were placed right next to a family table of 3 kids, very noisy, why did staff do that? There was plenty of room the other end of the dining room? In our room we were left a hamper containing.... 1 apple, 1 pear and 1 peach. 1 still water and 1 sparkling, this was not replenished during our stay. (Stayed in a holiday inn and we were greeted with a huge hamper of fruit, chocolate and water replenished daily! ) We were woken both mornings at 7am from the cleaner hoovering for nearly an hour outside our room. I made a complaint and was offered a free nights stay on b&b basis! But recommended to take this offer once the hotel had had its much needed refurbishments! They admit wrong but this offer is a joke! We stayed for 2 nights with breakfast and dinner. I wanted a refund which so far has been refused! The place is a let down! Not just from a needed refurbishment but untrained staff, and dirty rooms. Not a great way to spend our first year wedding anniversary. Do not recommend staying here whilst the hotel is in this state! read more

Absolutely Amazing! We were greeted before even walking through the front door. We were made welcome and had our bags carried upstairs for us, to our perfect room. The bed was so comfortable, the room spacious, the bathroom perfect, everything was in excellent condition. The spa facilities were top quality. Felt perfectly relaxed. And the Dreams team were awesome: they were extremely kind and their spa treatments were wonderful! The restaurant was also 5* quality. Breakfast was superb, with our team of friendly waiters helping with anything we needed. The dinner menu has a great selection of food, we went for the Braised beef, and each piece of beef was cooked to perfection. The bar has a great selection of drinks, from beers and wine, to the best of the spirits, again served by extremely friendly bar staff. The hotel itself, and it's grounds, are stunning. It is a perfect place for the perfect relaxation getaway. HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE! read more

The manor house is lovely, great setting with real old fashioned english county home feel. Food is excellent standard and we were well looked after. the four poster bedrom in the manor house is sumptious although the shower was a little dodgy. great for romantic get aways read more

Visited Eastwell Manor last Saturday lunch for a family get together. The long drive and entrance and the hotel itself tick all the boxes when it comes to appearances- very posh. fter a drink in the relaxing bar our orders were taken, 20 minutes later we were asked to go through to the dining room (complete with pianist). After a further 20 minutes our starters arrived (40 minutes since our orders were taken), they were perfectly adequate though nothing amazing. My main course of a "Ragout of chicken with lardons and button mushrooms"- coq-au-vin to you or me was as tastless version of this dish I have ever come across- the chicken devoid of any flavour whatsoever, was it bad chicken, just badly cooked or as I suspect, both? To finish a creme brulee with very nice creme, but very under bruleed brulee. All in all the food was dissapointing and the service was average- if you want to do the whole manor house/fine dining thing then it needs to be backed up by great food that not only looks great but tastes great too, served by staff who actually want to be there. However, if the smoke and mirrors of a long drive, pianists in the dining room, chandeliers and so forth is enough to distract you I'm sure you'll have a very pleasant time indeed! read more
