I got to a point where I gave up depending on him to do the job efficiently in a timely manner so I had to do things on my own. He really seemed to have a lack of knowledge that was needed to sell my home as far as I was concerned. Two contract dates expired during this time without any explanation to me as the homeowner as to what the next steps would be. Weeks would pass without any communication. Basically I sold my home. He does promote himself as being the best in the business which I unfortunately found to be untrue. He will in many ways tell you how "awesome" his abilities are and I find that an odd occurrence. This experience cost me a huge amount of unnecessary expenses.

She also claimed the house as her residence so she could send her daughter to Wallkill School District, and not Newburgh. Turns out she had no authority to rent the property in the first place. Called Hudson Valley Home Connections and they said that it was not their problem and that she was fired from her last job. She knew her worker committed multiple counts of fraud and saw it as "not her problem". When I left an initial review they called the Town of Newburgh Police to have it taken down. Needless to say, stay away!

Now, don't get me wrong, Melissa has her seller's best interest at heart and at the forefront but that understood, she is a very caring, patient, helpful and real person to deal with. I had a situation that was very frustrating at times and part of what even calmed me down enough to see the deal through was this very helpful and kind woman. She's even gone as far as to leave us a welcome card after the deal was done and we'd begun to move in. It's the little things and the after thought that counts. A great negotiator and a stellar agent, I will be looking to buy again in the future as rental properties and Melissa will be my first call! Whether you're buying or selling, this is who you need!

She wanted to list it lower than she did, and didn't seem so apprised of fast-increasing home values in Beacon. She did not return calls in a timely manner and became very edgy when we asked her to physically visit us. I think she quickly went through our home two times, except for bringing someone through. We were satisfied with the price we got, but we felt she did little to contribute to that. Since she had done far less than expected to market our house, which sold before it was in multiple listings, we asked her and her manager for a lowering of commission. They were both unreceptive and not forthright. Where is the work ethic of yore? Why should one earn such a vast amount for partially doing her job? Why did we have to keep phoning her? I don't enjoy giving poor reviews, but it was deserved.
