Do we have to enter a star? They don't deserve one. This past year, our high school added a second driving school option. I'm not surprised and I wish I had waited until there was this second choice. This school has the absolute worst record keeping method. It apparently files students by the LAST driving lesson. Yes, instead of filling by last name, birthdate, school, address, things that rarely change over two years, they file by the ONE thing that does change!! When my daughter went to take her driving test, her certificate was NOT on file despite the fact it's been over six months since her last road lesson. When I called, the woman admonished me for not remembering the date of the last road lesson. Then she asked if I was sure my child took lessons with the school. Trust me, I wish she hadn't. The sheer incompetence of the administration coupled with their rudeness screams DO NOT USE THIS DRIVING SCHOOL. read more

Yes, it's true - at nearly 42 years of age, I am unable to drive. So, I'm in the process of rectifying that little mistake, and I chose Easy Method partially because others in my family have, and because it supposedly has a good reputation, it's been in the community for years, etc. Although, with the non-service I received, I don't see how that's possible. I paid 440 dollars for a course that was supposed to start on August 10. It wasn't until the afternoon of August 8th that I was told that the class was canceled. No explanation, no offer for another weekend course, nothing. I work during the day and I'm in grad school - so Saturday is the only option open to me. I politely asked for a refund, and they said no problem. Until I had to call my credit card company to force a chargeback. I'd say that's a problem. You can't ever get a hold of anyone on the phone. An answering service always picks up and invites you to leave a message - although if you leave your phone number they'll never return your call. I called multiple times over a course of 2 months asking them for my money back. The first time I was told "give it 30 days". Well, as far as I know, 30 days doesn't equal 2 months. And they never DID process the refund - my credit card company dispute did. Don't be fooled by this place's promises of good service, long-standing record in the community, blah blah. Bottom line is - they cancel classes with no reason, they won't accommodate schedules, and they like to keep your money. 'nuff said. read more

My daughter took the Drivers Ed class with Mr. Wright, and she learned a lot and feels very prepared to drive! It could have been a little more fast-paced and interactive, but Mr. Wright is very qualified and knowledgable and ensures that they not only known the rules, but has a smart mindset about driving (Which is very important). read more

Nothing easy about "Easy Method Driving School." The costumer service is horrible and the driving instructor "Mrs Pindar" is beyond rude and rather intimidating. It has been over a month and they have only been able to get 3 driving times in since the written exam, due to being to busy. My son has learned nothing he had not learned from driving with family and I question what we payed for. Had a scheduling conflict and could only be offered something 2 weeks later. This has been a terrible experience for my family and I would not recommend this company to anyone. A very unhappy client. read more

My daughter attended the required 30-plus hours of classroom education, with perfect attendance. Attendance is very important because it is required by the state of Maryland.. However, Easy Method Driving School LOST her attendance record and now they are telling me she has to spend another 30 hours in the classroom if she wants to get her license. Easy Method's instructor apparently lost the required paperwork and the school administrators tried to blame my daughter, saying she should have kept her carbon copy. But no one told her that there was even a chance that her entire record would get lost and she would lose all her 30 hours of time invested. Most records are digital these days. The idea that paperwork can get lost is preposterous and outrageous!! it was clearly Easy Method at fault. The school offered a partial refund but even so, I am very unhappy with this school!! . read more

I'd prefer to give NO stars. We had the most frustrating experience with the Catonsville MD Easy Method Driving School, from start to finish. My daughter missed one class, and her attempts to schedule a make up class resulted in us being asked to drive to locations where classes weren't even running. Then when it came to scheduling driving appointments, her instructor was unresponsive after repeated attempts to contact. Finally, Easy Method FAILED to forward her completion information to the MVA (same driving instructor did not file paperwork correctly.) Therefore I spent an entire morning off work only to be told that she couldn't take her driving test. I would not recommend this program to any young driver: it is in no way worth the extremely high price. read more

Do not use this company if you can help it. The scheduling of drive times is a nightmare. They will cancel times and/or be a no-show at the drop of a hat but will charge a fee if you need to cancel within 48 hours - ridiculous. The management is arrogant and rude. read more

NO SHOW!!! After reading all other reviews, I was having hesitancy but I just need to enroll my brother ASAP. The scheduling was very easy, was able to secure a slot in less than 5 days of notice. I provided two telephone numbers to make sure we get contacted. Guess what, they reasoned out we were unable to reach and did not show-up. Unfortunately, "lying to customers" is one of my pet peeves. I cancelled right away. Don't waste your time, it's worth the wait for other reputable driving schools like Greg's rather play around in circus with this driving school. read more

It took a week to process our refund (reverse the charge) regarding a cancelled class and I don't mean for it to hit our account I mean to even address the request. Then the woman who answered the phone when we politely inquired about it was agitated and rude. She raised her voice as she was talking to me, for no reason. It was unwarranted. Worst experience...do not use. First, the class for which we enrolled was canceled due to low enrollment (now I get why) and we were told to go to the Ellicott City branch. This was enormously inconvenient. My son told me of how dirty and poorly lit the class was Then he described of how the instructor imitated the foreign accent of a student in the class who had raised his hand to answer a question. When I called to tell the manager named VAL about the experience, she told me I wasn't there, the instructor had been, and he said it never happened. In essence, she called my son a liar. I asked for a refund, which she said would take 30 DAYS to process (???). After I thanked her, she hung up on me. The good news is that my son is now enrolled in another driving school at 100.00 LESS than what EZ driving method was charging me !!!! Save yourself the headache and money and stay away from easy method driving school. read more

They are a horrible company. The class room was bad enough but we moved to another county in Maryland and trying to schedule the driving portion is beyond belief....we have to drive to them and the appts have to be a month in between. The rep who answers the phone is very rude and I would tell anyone to stay as far away from EM as you can. Horrible compnay. read more

Oh my goodness, I'm so glad someone told me to leave a review here. Much like Shelly B., my son's behind-the-wheel lessons were rescheduled with little notice. Once rescheduled, they failed to pick him up from school (completely didn't show up) and when I called to find out what was going on, they yelled at me and said I should keep better records. Now I need to cancel a behind-the-wheel lesson because school was closed, and they want to charge me a $30 fee. They explained that's their policy. I would NEVER recommend anyone use this school, and I plan to inform the Old Mill High School PTA of how poor the service has been through this school. read more

Initially had an issue with a customer service rep. @ this location, but since have found they are no longer employed there. Tania another rep. was more than helpful with questions I had re: their services. Other than this issue, the school has been very accommodating with scheduling driving time with my son. The instructor that taught his class @ SRHS was more than patient with the teenagers, some of which, to be politically correct, were not engaged with the curriculum. read more

Great experience! Pleasant and informative staff, easy to schedule classes and professional instructors! I had Michael Favors and was very impressed: he was a very steady and understanding instructor, he taught in a calm and easy to understand manner and was reassuring and encouraging when needed. I would give this place negative stars if possible. This is in reference to EDGEWATER LOCATION. DO NOT USE this company if you can help it! I agree with Trish G. My son finished class in JULY and it is now the last week of AUGUST and I still cannot get drive time scheduled. VALERIE the manager is rude. She will not give her last name. She refuses to come to the phone. She requests calls back for when she is not there and cannot copy or dial a return number to save her life!. She will leave you on hold for 50 plus minutes. This company is NOT computerized. They do a poor job in communicating to the drive instructors. We have been cancelled twice, left standing in the road waiting on a broken down vehicle, and been given the run around again and again. We have also been threatened with a cancellation fee if we need to cancel. Ironic that no REFUND is offered when they cancel on you or just don't show up. That's just the drive time. My son reports that the class instruction is a joke. Old videos from the 80s are shown and they still teach the kids to 'pump their breaks' ABS anyone? Use a different company if one is available to you. This place should be closed down by the MVA. read more

Absolutely horrible customer service. I purchased drivers education course with the 4 behind-the-wheel lessons for my son. The offering was $50 more expensive than a local competitor but I opt'ed for Easy Method since they offered course and lessons after school. Easy Method canceled and rescheduled all of his behind-the-wheel lessons, pushing his completion back another month. One lesson, the canceled on the day of lesson. When I tried to reschedule a lesson with 24hrs notice, they wanted to charge me $30 fee. After much frustration, I decided to have them credit the 3 remaining lessons so I can take my business elsewhere. Response "YOUR REFUND WILL BE PROCESSED IN 30 DAYS". 30 DAYS???? I asked how I receive confirmation of refund being processed. Do I get an email or something? NO, I HAVE TO WAIT 30 DAYS AND LOOK FOR THE REFUND. No customer service whatsoever and RIDICULOUS policies. read more
