The facility itself was clean, well-maintained, and the overall service was good. However, my experience at check-in left a negative impression. The front desk employee, who I later learned is also the Customer Service Manager, was very rude and unprofessional. When I arrived, I was greeted with a sarcastic "Yes?" instead of a welcoming greeting. Throughout the interaction, the tone felt dismissive and unfriendly, which was disappointing considering this person represents customer service leadership. While the rest of my experience at the facility was positive, the lack of professionalism at the front desk significantly impacted my first impression. read more

The Severna Park location provided a great experience for my daughter! The classroom training, hands on driving lessons and renting their car to take the MVA driving test was all an overall fantastic experience. We had our 3 children aged 17,17 and 16 take the online course at Greg's Driving School at the same time. Mr. Taylor did a most excellent job with them. I can only imagine the effort it takes to keep teens and young adults interested in "driver's ed." He did it. They thought he was terrific, and cannot wait to drive with him in real life. While the 30 hours of online instruction was easy to schedule the 6 hours of behind the wheel instruction are nearly impossible. Scheduling of the behind the wheel instruction is handled via the portal and is not available until after the completion of the in-class instruction. After the scheduling becomes available it becomes clear that Greg's does not have adequate instructors to fulfill the behind the wheel instruction. I've attempted checking availability in all other locations and no appointments are available. The Auto-Scheduler lists a "you should hear from us" window of approx 21 days that just updates to the next 21 days when you log in. If completing the driver's education portion is important to you I recommend you try another company. The upfront payment requirement means I have no recourse. Greg's is already paid so there is no incentive for them to rectify. I'm already exploring other companies. read more

Disappointed! After finishing the online class my son was instructed to sign up for drive times. He contacted Greg's only to find that there was no available time and he was instructed to check the website regularly waiting for new schedules to upload or appointment cancellations. I am in disbelief that Greg's has chosen to do business this way. There should be enough instructors to support the number of individuals signed up in classes. Additionally, appointments should be available to be scheduled regardless of the timing. I get the impression that this issue is ongoing since I was offered a refund to go seek driving instruction elsewhere. If this is the case, it should be advertised on their website that drive times can take multiple months to obtain. This is a terrible way to do business. I would not recommend Greg's Driving School. read more

We had a great experience with Greg's driving school in Crofton. My daughter did the course online because of Covid. Very professional teacher named, Selena. She enjoyed her job and was very personable. We were also so grateful to get Jose as her driving instructor. In this day in age, it is hard to come by people who really are passionate about their work. Jose has a gift of patience and compassion and cares about his driving students. We just got home from the MVA and my daughter is an official licensed driver! read more

The online class link for zoom rarely works - we always started trying to sign in at least 20 minutes before class, and were forced into a loop of "this meeting ID is invalid" again and again until finally, several minutes into the start of class, it would suddenly work. We tried everything - wifi was strong, switched browsers, updated zoom app, tried using browser for meeting, logged out and back into Greg's - same error every time. When the meeting was finally enabled on Greg's side, my son would get berated by his terrible teacher, Cici (spelling?) for being late. She would not allow him to show her the screenshot of the error message he was constantly getting - it was exclusively his fault and he was the problem according to her. This woman should not be teaching anyone. She is a bully with a hair-trigger temper, refuses to listen to anyone but her own angry voice. First - flx your broken technology. Second - stop blaming children for your faulty system. Third - hire teachers who are actually interested in teaching, not taking out their anger issues on children at her mercy. read more

The staff aren't friendly. They won't let you sign up for the driving portion until the in class has been completed - only to find out there is a month plus wait for the driving portion. So we tried to sign our kid up to complete all this over the summer, but couldn't with these guys. read more

Greg's was not at all transparent about their lack of driving instructors when we registered our daughter for classes. When I went to register her for her in car sessions, their website said no available sessions, please call. I did and was basically told that they had no sessions available for the foreseeable future. They would put her on a waiting list and let us know if there were any cancellations. If we could find a driving school with sooner availability they would give us a 50% discount. Oh, and they were trying to find a way to make the delay clear on their website. I am so disappointed and frustrated. I absolutely would have gone with another company if I had know there were such significant staffing issues and that it could take months for our daughter to get her in car driving time in. read more

Not a good experience with the driving instruction portion. However, I did receive excellent customer service fielding my complaint.

If you have a child with autism or other condition, do not use the driving instructor Michelle Wile. She was verbally abusive and combative with my son. The class was fine and the other instructor was ok, but be sure and avoid her at all costs. read more

My daughter was very nervous about going to driving school. Her instructor Miss Gina at the Capitol Heights location is Wonderful!!! Miss Gina was very patient with my daughter her nurturing personality made her feel at ease. My daughter will never forget what she learned in class her scenarios where very informative and helpful. Now she is confident she will pass her driving test. As a parent I feel like I left my daughter in great hands with Greg's Driving School. I highly recommend Greg's their service is commendable. read more

I can't complain about my experience with the classroom portion of my driver's education, but the behind-the-wheel instruction was absolutely AWFUL! My instructor, Anthony, had me flustered and stressed out the entire session. I felt as though he was more of a driving critic than a driving instructor. He would nag and harshly point out my mistakes, which should be a huge no-no when dealing with student drivers. While I'm all for tough coaching, this should NOT be the case for behind-the-wheel lessons! The classroom portion made up for it though as Mike was great, and I received a lot of new knowledge out of the two weeks! read more

I enjoyed my time at Greg's Driving School and I feel as if this adequately prepared me for not only a successful driving test but a safe driving career. I would attribute my enjoyment to the instructors genuine care for the students. My drivers ed portion of my time at Greg's Driving School was taught by Mr. Steve and his humor and style of teaching was great at making drivers ed interesting and informative. I actually enjoyed attending and made good friends in that class while learning the rules of the road. Every class felt productive and I can say I am much more informed as a result of Mr. Steve. My in-car lessons were with Mrs. Michelle and I could not have had a better experience. Her humor and calm attitude worked to calm my nerves, while her history as a cop and general knowledge taught me so much about driving safely. Throughout the lessons she was tremendous in seeing what I was good at and what I needed to work on and was a great help in refining my skills. The 6 hours of driving I had with her was the most quality driving practice I had. In such few hours I could see great improvement in my driving skills and I can honestly say that without a driving instructor as caring as Mrs. Michelle I would not have passed my drivers test. My experience at Greg's Driving School was great and I would recommend Gregs (and my instructors) to anyone looking for a Driving school. read more
