Gail perpetually interrupted my partner and myself, attempting to complete our sentences, talking over us, and generally talking more about herself than we had the opportunity to talk about our relationship. At every opportunity, mid sentence Gail would comment how she too has experienced X,Y, and Z. Gail made insulting assumptions about my character, my education based on information I shared with her. She will talk over you, she will not let you complete your thoughts or sentences. It makes it very difficult to address couples issues when the therapist won't let you complete a thought and insert their own narrative, instead of listening to the story of your relationship to move forward in a better direction. Update 2/23/2025: I have not seen Gail or been in contact with her since our initial appointment on January 25th. However she called me on February 20th emphasizing that she was "disgusted in me as a human being." Then proceeded to explain how her years of experience and credentials certainly make her a great therapist. She went on to state how upset she was that I gave her a one star review. She concluded the message by stating "You are in trouble by the way!" The hard copy information they give you is seriously lacking, needs editing, and is also not very informative. I signed up for the 8 week program so we'll see how it goes. This includes blood work, EKG, blood pressure, body scan, and weigh in. I haven't started yet, still waiting for blood work results. Once their doctor reviews the blood work to determine if or which injection is appropriate then you can start. I am looking forward to starting tirzepitide hopefully Monday. Over a pack a day. Quitting was meant for someone else. Someone with will power. Someone with self preservation instincts. Someone willing to deal with the massive mood swings, irritability and who knew what other side effects. Quitting wasn't in my cards. I knew the want of a cigarette as soon as the one I was smoking was put out. The embers needn't be cold before I was planning the next. I'd put one out while coughing and think, I'll never quit; they'll kill me first, I enjoy it too much. Seriously, I was that bad addicted. I ended up calling Dr. Sewell because a friend wanted to quit and we were to quit together through hypnosis. My 'buddy' never called the Dr. and is still smoking and vaping nicotine in an effort to quit on his own. My friend didn't want to pay the $ thinking he could quit on his own. In another week or so I will already have paid for the Hypnotherapy by stopping smoking. I can only rack up the savings from here on out. 17 days may seem like 5 minutes to some who have tried many times before to quit and have been unsuccessful. I have no desire. At all. It's almost stupidly simple. Please, give it a try. Even if you quit for 30 days, you won't have wasted a dime and have breathed better for a little while.
