You really get what you pay for when you choose EasyJet. I personally prefer it to RyanAir. I feel like the staff is nicer overall, at least from my experiences. At Amsterdam's airport, you go to the gate in time for boarding, which is fine because there's plenty of ways to occupy yourself in the meantime. They'll scan your boarding pass again then tell you which door to use. I was near the front of the line, so I had access to one of those standing seat things. Others had to stand for a good half hour until we were allowed to actually get on the plane. EasyJet seems to be quite on time and generally easy. It's good for budget travel. Just don't expect anything fancy and be sure to pack light. read more

Whoever the lady staff member was at Schiphol airport terminal 3, gate H1 for the 7:20pm flight to London Luton was so unprofessional. Her attitude was disgusting. She was cold, rude and extremely sarcastic... asking us if we are "Stupid" because we didnt quite understand what she was saying. Not only too myself and my partner but to various other passengers too. The WORST airline EVER!!! Make 150% sure that you NEVER have them as a connecting flight at the start of your international travel. Their luggage requirements are not congruent with just about every other airline when it comes to weight requirements. Every international flight I've ever flown (and it's been plenty) has a 50lb (22.6kg) weight limit. Easy jet does not do "transfers" which means they solely operate as a "domestic" airline for Europe, so you pay for every checked bag and every kg over weight. We were completely in our weight limit for our planned INTERNATIONAL flight but easyjet decided to drop their checked bag limit 3kg down from the NORMAL 22.6kg for every other airline on an international flight, they get to charge every kg extra ON TOP of the $50 per checked bag! So when you're allowed 2 free checked bags on an international flight, guessssss what! You PAY for it if you have a connecting flight with easy jet. So lesson learned..... in all the many many years I've flown internationally, never have I had this problem and never again will I because I will never fly with easy jet again in fact with all the baggage and "weight" cost, I would've saved money taking a direct flight which is usually more. read more

You know this place is freakin awful. The staff is rude as heck (probably because they are underpaid) and just screamin at people. This girl tried to scream at me and I flipped out on her (my buddy was like you really had to check her)... I have my ticket in my hand and she's looking at me tells me "thank you" then I start walking and she says "hey you where are you going you must check in first" i looked at her like she was crazy, im from the hood homegirl "i was like calm the fuck down you just told me to pass and said thank you" she says I was talking to someone else "i said you were looking right at me" she then apologized... Young staff overworked and underpaid to get you low prices. That was one part. Second part is that I got hit with a $35 (euro) luggage fee for my carry on. Like wtf, you want me to check in my small carry on. WHACK, i would have rather paid the extra $50 (euro) without the bull crap. The great Easy Jet baggage hustle..... I travel with the same bag always and have used it on at least 10 Easy Jet flights and stowed in the overhead bins in the cabin. What they do is try to make you fit your bag in an ultra small "tester" when you check in so if course it isn't going to fit so you are threatened into paying 35 euro to check a bag and further threatened with a 55 euro charge at the gate. What they know and I as well is that normal size suitcases fit on Easy Jet planes, including my bag. They aren't special or have special small overhead bins. This is a hustle and a scam, so watch out for it. The Amsterdam airport is particularly bad about this. Watch out for this folks! read more

Not so easy, EasyJet, but it was okay. I flew on EasyJet on a recent trip from Amsterdam Schiphol (AMS) to Rome Leonardo Da Vinci Fumicino (FCO) in October 2014. Booking my flight on the website was easy and got my confirmation email. Fast forward to the boarding gate area in Amsterdam, where the gate agent told me to consolidate my already filled to the brink a backpack and a small drawstring bag (also filled to the max). I was like seriously?!!! I can't put the second bag under my seat? I felt frustrated, irritated, angry, and just lost confidence with EasyJet after that moment. Fortunately, everything did fit into the backpack, but it definitely grew from normal to mega abnormal. After getting on the plane, I saw some people putting their stuff under the seat in front of them and that just really pissed me off. Ugh. EasyJet is a British based carrier, which flies to many points in Europe. Unlike bigger carriers like British Airways and Air France, EasyJet, I think is a regional low cost airline, exactly like Southwest and JetBlue. Especially when boarding where you have massive boarding lines and you need to find your seat as fast as you can. I boarded out of gate H8 in Amsterdam Schiphol airport. It's pretty interesting how there were two lines for boarding, one main one and the back door. Airlines in the United States don't do that! I guess different places do different procedures. I would say that EasyJet had comparable fares than those of its competition in the European Union. It was cheap enough to fly one way and not having it being overpriced - at least that's what I was thinking. Still, I wouldn't recommend flying this airline, unless you are looking for rock bottom prices to get you from point a to point b fast. I've only flown with EasyJet just this one time, but I was glad that it was an on time departure. The plane was a Boeing 757, so that was pretty good for starters, but they instituted the one bag policy for everyone, which sucked. Unless they did some political profiling on me, I think it's for everyone. The flight experience was typically okay. As long as it was on time departure and arrival, I was okay with it. Still, it could have been better. The seats were a little narrow, probably because of the large people sitting next to me and I had the honor of the middle seat. Grr. The flight was adequate for what I needed and that was important. Still kind of cool to hear crew instructions in Italian and Dutch. Support local! C- read more

Can I give it less of a star? Ridiculous baggage policy and def not the way to go if you're traveling pretty much anywhere for more than a couple days. Not only is the baggage limited to 20kg (about 2.6kg and 10lbs less than normal airlines) they're rude and un accommodating. I purchased the flight and bought bags for check in but failed to read the extra, extra fine print and ended up paying €150,00 for 2 bags and in addition, it's €14 per kg if you go overweight. Don't make the mistake I did and find an alternative. Please save yourself the headache at check-in. I will not be recommending or flying this airline, ever. read more

Never fly easy jet unless you are desperate and are prepared to be late or pay necessary charges. The employees are rude, their bag policy is ridiculous, they charge ridiculous amounts for "extra baggage" aka my purse, and their planes are really late. Easy jet cost me about 120 euros more than what I had originally anticipated. This included me having to pay for another bus because they made me miss the one I originally paid for, cabs for rushing to the bus station, and baggage. And I thought 2 hours between "landing time" and my bus departure would be enough...nope. read more

Had very good experience when flying easy jet in Europe . Used them 4 times to different countries and was very satisfied with timeliness,attendants hospitality. I just had the worst service with Easyjet. My son is sick with a sinus infection which he gets maybe once a year. His flight was today and now he won't be able to travel with his friends. He has been looking forward to this for months! He and his friends would be away enjoying a weekend hiking without their parents, if not for his sinus infection. We didn't expect a full refund. But we hoped for some compassion. He's a kid for pete's sake! Anyway, the only options are a refund of €15 (the ticket was €134) or change the flight TODAY for a change fee and the difference of the prices. Ok, I understand the change fee and the difference in prices. I didn't expect to get a full refund and we expected to pay to change the flight. But why do we have to do it today!??!? Can't we get a voucher? He's 17! He can't plan his holidays months in advance?!?!? Speaking with the customer service person Simranjeet Singh and all he can say is this is all we offer because we are a cost-effective airline and it was in the terms and conditions when you booked your flight. No effort to try to help, no real customer service- just these are the rules and we're not bending for you or anyone. it's better to just fly with larger airlines that can offer more to their passengers. People who can look beyond the rules and think differently about the needs of their customers. read more

travelling around Europe has been made relatively easy with the likes of easyjet and many other budget airlines. my latest easyjet journey was from Edinburgh to Amsterdam and back again. all said, besides a slight delay on the way there the easyjet flight was just as good as any other flight i've taken. stars off though for the long time sat waiting to board the plane, the flight attendant trying to stop me from using the toilet because the fasten seat belt sign was on, and no offer of free tea. i know it's a budget airline, but surely flying a planeload of british people entitles one to a free cuppa! read more

Would strongly advise another airline. I had a booked a flight from Amsterdam back to London, and day of departure, happened to check my email to see that flight was cancelled. Never received a text alert or anything else, just lucky to check my email in the AM otherwise would have shown up to airport with no flight. And no reason given for the cancellation. Then the fun begin. No other flights offered, no help to get back to London. Had to spend a couple hours trying to figure out a way back and ended up taking a 6 hour train ride instead of a 1 hour flight. Wasn't able to make it to my hotel in Oxford, and due to the late cancellation, lost the money I spent on the hotel. Best part was that Easyjet only refunded me €95 out of the €250 I spend on the ticket. Can't figure that one out and am trying to get an answer from them. So I'm now out cost of hotel, cost of plane ticket, cost of train trip, and a whole day lost on my vacation. Googled to see why cancellation and found a few articles about Easyjet that shows they cancel a lot [https://www.insider.co.uk/news/easyjet-cancels-1200-flights-june-12856114]. So, yes they are a cheaper alternative if they actually fly, but most likely you will end up stuck and out of pocket with a great deal of headache and frustration. read more

My experience with Easy Jet was bad. It was hard to learn the features of the travel insurance I bought, and I later learned the insurance program didn't apply to me at all because I'm neither an Italian citizen (this info was buried in the web site) nor a UK resident (the insurance company's verbal response). I wouldn't have booked had I known there was no way out of the booking, even with a charge. It took an hour on the phone (calling UK from California) and some very tough talk, plus close work with our credit card company, to get a partial refund. Have you seen the U Tube video "Cheap Flights" by Fascinating Aida? I'm convinced the song is a reference to Easy Jet. If you give these people your money, consider it gone! Easily the worst airline I have ever flown. As a travel agent, I will never sell or personally use them again. They suck every iota of life out of the customer service industry and I am shocked so many customers are willing to be treated certain ways to save a few dollars/euros/pounds. A few basic things, really strict with overweight bags. I paid ours in advance and two bags were 1lb over and we were charged $20 euro extra for these. Not nice, but my own fault for shopping so I paid it gladly. On board, no entertainment, no recline buttons on seats, uncomfortable seats, no assigned seats at all so it is easy to get on board and not be able to sit near your family/friends/group. The big offender is after checking in our bags, clearing security, sitting in the waiting area for over and hour and lining up to board, as we began boarding the plane, a huge witch of a woman started pulling people with purses or duty free shopping aside. Apparantly, you can't take a personal item. One carry on, no additional item. So you can't carry a laptop, or buy items in duty free that won't fit in your carry on. Or if you are a lady, you can not carry a small purse. Lots of people were fighting with them. They charged me 40Euro to "check" the back pack I have taken to 65 countries on over 50 airlines carrying because my small purse would not fit into my backpack. Another woman had to check the shopping she just purchased because it would not fit in her small purse. RIDICULOUS! Wait until people are boarding and nail the for extra money.
