Our Tour Guide recommended this spot and worked out as it was near the last stop of our Excursion…read more Plenty of in/outdoor seating and they were busy around 1:30 on a Friday. Self seating and we waited about 5 minutes before a table opened up outside next to the Gomero de la Recpoleta (massive rubber tree). We've come to accept that slower service is part of the process in this city and no exception here. Our waiter, who seemed to have been working here (along with many of his colleagues) for some time came out after a bit of time to drop off menus. (dressed in throwback/formal Server uniforms which was a nice touch.) The options are endless and we were a bit overwhelmed but quickly focused on the Milanese as this was the dish we were looking to try. You can order what appeared to be a combo which includes drinks (coffee/soft drink etc) and dessert which we thought we did. We ordered a Milanese and Neapolitan Milanese. Sides were fries on one and salad on the other. Enjoyed the Neapolitan as it came with tomato sauce and cheese. Salad was tasty. Milanese was okay. We did pair them with an Imperial Lager (local draft) that came out in a cool mug. We weren't offered the dessert option and didn't bother to ask as we needed to leave. Service was friendly and engaged and, as mentioned, slower so make sure you have time. Located in Recoleta, the oldest restaurant (over 150 years old) in Buenos Aires with a good mix of Locals and Tourists and a good one for a taste of Buenos Aires.

Also ordered the tomato salad - just a bowl of cut tomatoes but when we added the olive oil and balsamic vinegar.. it was a great compliment to the milanesa. The staff were all friendly and funny. Nice roomy venue with ceiling fans (which is nice in hot weather) and they had outdoor seating. Would I go back? Yes.

This was a great place for a early dinner or possibly even a late night snack if you're craving…read moresome burgers/fries. We came by on one evening and it was pretty empty but we did come around 4:30-5 pm. The person taking our order didn't speak English well so she was able to accommodate for the language barrier and have one of her coworkers assist us. The most popular burgers here were the fried onion and the Manhattan. I tried the fried onion and wow it was stuffed with so many onions that it hit the spot. The burger itself was very tender and cooked to perfection. Fries were also animal style fries (for a little extra fee) and came with sauce bacon and cheese like In n Out. Overall a solid burger joint in BA that was close to our hotel. Highly recommend!

Every ingredient was perfectly balanced to make a delicious whole. Big fan of this burger. I am pretty picky with french fries, but these were one of my favorite in Buenos Aires. Upshot: I ordered delivery but would certainly go to the venue someday. Really good burger and fries. If it was closer to my home, I would go more often. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ubicación: no he visitado en persona. La gente: bien. To start, the empanadas are absolutely delicious and I highly recommend them. The menu otherwise was quite rich. We got the Milanesa, and the Ossobuco on polenta. I found the Milanesa to be a touch on the greasier side than I am used to, but it was delicious! And the Ossobuco on polenta was quite rich, especially with the bone marrow - I had a hard time finishing this, but I highly recommend it. The portions are quite large, so sharing dishes is probably not a bad idea. I am also pleasantly surprised by the cocktail scene of Argentina, especially Buenos Aires! There was a spicy version of a Negroni on the menu that the staff warned me about but I kind of took it as "they probably mean it's a strong drink" But NOPE - it is actually spicy! As a spice lover this was really interesting, but not for everyone. The ambiance of the dining area was quite interesting with photographs and memorabilia. If I had one little advice for the restaurant, maybe fix up the bathrooms a little bit. Peron Peron captures the essence of Buenos Aires in a way that may be a bit controversial, but the food is definitely worth the trip!
