Needless to say, when my friends and I went there after a long night of pondering what to do, we had a great time ramming into each other's cars and running around playing games like wild ten year olds. Unfortunately, we were naive enough to fall for one of their package deals that included a meal and although we were acting like ten year olds, our tastebuds were not. Let's just say, whenever we do go back there for the odd game or two, it is definitely not for the food.

The front counter was actually near the toilets. He said no, why? kind of annoyed as if I was being a hassle. The smell was so bad and I wanted to vomit. I told him it was a biohazard which he did't seem to understand or care. The toilets were also really bad and smelly last time I went there. :( The place is massive and packed with people most of the time... so lots of wee and poo! Why can't they treat their customers better? This is actually a massive health risk. Sadly I'll not be back until they fix this problem and get their business up to code. Maybe they should employ a full time cleaner. They charge $18 hr for tables anyway. Clean up your act City Heroes!!

Different themes in different locations, but also a mix of cuisines all around the place. Some popular names were there such as Butter, KOI and also a few food trucks like Happy as Larry and Eat Art Truck. Plenty to see and listen to as well, with a magical hanging garden and jazz depending on where you go. Definitely worth checking out when they're back on again.

We had beers and played pool downstairs before heading up to the alley and knocking down those pins, some better than others. What I need to do in order to improve my game is work on not turning my wrist when I release the ball, I had a bit of trouble there, and my friends didn't make it any better, but I reminded them, some of us may be in the gutter, but at least we're looking for the spares. Strike bowling is the perfect place to meet up with friends if you're all keen on throwing large heavy balls down thin wooded aisles to hit a bunch of white pins. If that sounds like you, then this is the place for that. But what it also offers, apart from group packages and functions, is downstairs beside the bar they have a laser tag arena. A simple game where you put on electronic vests and back packs and run around shooting each other through a dark and moody maze in some kind of, as the introduction video states, post apocalyptic world torn apart. Between shooting friends with lasers, bowling gutter balls and drinking beer, Strike Bowling Bar offers a great and different night out.

It has really brought bowling back as a night out. I first went here for a work Christmas party and it was so much fun. I've also been for a few drinks and a burger and some bowling, as well as with a private party. The best part about it is that it's not just bowling, the entry level is a bar with pool tables and arcade games and a dance floor. Upstairs is the bowling, and there is a bar at the end of the lanes, where you can also order food. There's also laser skirmish, which I am yet to try (it's booked in for a friend's birthday next month). As well as karaoke rooms (also yet to try and not likely to happen). After 4pm it costs $16/game, or $24 for two. On a Saturday night this goes up to $18/game or $28 for two. Its cheaper during the day before 4pm ($14/24) and for kids during school holidays ($8) There's also a bowl and blast combo, with 1 game of bowling and 1 game of skirmish for $20.

The prices are average and the music they play is popular. You can hire bowling shoes, but beware they aren't the best quality or fit. They do have plenty of sizes, but it all seems old and frayed. I still don't get why people love bowling. It could be because I have never scored 300 or because I need the gutter to be up to help me score a perfect ten. No matter how many times I watch my partner score a hambone, I can't help feel that the Gods of bowling are against me. The ball tends to travel straight and as at the last minute, a puff of air, rolls it into the gutter.. Ugh.. Great place to practice as it's relatively empty, so no fear of anyone watching you and being ridiculed.

When we arrived, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The lobby/ waiting area is a little bit on the small side w/ one 2-seater couch available.This room borrows a little bit from the movie "Inception" and "Being John Malkovich" where you are traveling into a woman in a coma's mind and reliving her memories. The room decor could use a little bit of renovations as some items in there seemed a little run down. The puzzles were fairly unique w/ some interesting challenges about random knowledge. The best escape room experience!…read more It's a bit of a puzzle trying to find the place, which I felt added to the overall experience. We did the "In Memoriam" room. It was very well executed and tied in with the given storyline. There was a lot more to it than just unlocking locks. Better than other escape rooms I've been to. And at the end, the staff take you back into the room and walk through what was done and how your team performed in comparison to others in the past. It was nice to hear some feedback :) Highly recommend!
