Quality of screening and expertise is excellent. Really pleased with the results. Alerted me to a potentially life-threatening health problem.
The main problem, though is the front of house staff. They are lovely, but they do not seem to be medically qualified, or to understand the results of your screenings.
Hence you are badgered for non-urgent follow-ups, but they miss the urgent ones. They clearly have no understanding of your medical results. And you don't have a single point of contact. Regularly now, I have been contacted by one member of staff asking why I haven't replied, when I have just replied to a different staff member.
You end up having to handle your own care yourself, rather like the NHS. But of course, the reason you go private is so that you don't have to do this. You want someone else, whom you trust medically, to look after you and sort things out.
They do employ GPs, who interpret your results from the scans and tests in an online feedback session, which is generously timed and really helpful.
But after that you are left on your own when it comes to following up on further tests and deciding on priority and timing. Which is a real pity.
Thinking about this, it would be much preferable if the GP was actually in charge of folow up, rather than the front of house staff. But then this would presumably cost them more.... read more
