After seeing the NHS several times, I still did not get a diagnosis why I am unwell: constant…read morebloody nose, dizziness, sleepiness and itchy feet and palms. I have been recommended to Harley Street Health Centre by one of my colleagues. So I booked an appointment with Dr Abood. The consult lasted an hour, and included a chat about my symptoms, when they occur, ear & nose check, blood pressure and also had blood taken. Personally, even though I am in my mid 30's,I am really scarred of the needle, but the nurse was amazing. She distracted me by keeping my mind busy chatting, while she was drawing blood. Offered me water & advised to wait for couple of minutes before I leave. The whole experience was 5*. No rushing or looking at you like you are crazy because your palms & sole is itching at night, weirdly enough. So the next day I got my results. It was not as bad as I thought. Iron & Vitamin D deficiency. Something that can be fixed easily. So glad I went to the clinic, as my nose bleeds and itchyness have been haunting me for years. I am now taking my supplements & feeling much better. Will have another blood test done probably in 3-4 months.

I was lucky to find this lovely clinic in Harley Street which did exactly that and I've been visiting this place for the last 3 years. Would suggest it to anyone in and around the square mile.

We were lucky enough to get back to back appointments within 24 hours, however I would recommend blocking an appointment as soon as possible to get a timing convenient for you. The clinic is on the 5th floor of the building. (There is a lift) The reception area also sells some travel necessities like bug repellant, water purifying mechanisms etc. (Essential for countries with vaccination requirements) We are already kitted out, so I'm not sure about pricing vis-a-vis Boots etc. The nurse who saw us was friendly, polite and efficient. Appointments were at 15 minute intervals, but since we were a couple she took us in together and we were done in 20 minutes. Since we had already filled in the forms online, she just quickly ran through the vaccination requirements and recommended preventive medicines for the countries we were traveling to. Before giving us our shots. Quite an efficient system. Expensive (when compared to other countries we have for our shots at) but I guess that's the going rate in the UK.

That doesn't mean you shouldn't make an appointment if you want to give blood here though - in fact you're pretty unlikely to be able to walk in and donate so go online first. The staff here are lovely and one of them explained to me that they're the lead centre in the "interval study" being carried out among blood donors to work out what is the optimal time between donations and if individuals should have different intervals. An appointment can take up to 1h30 if they are busy but remember your reward is biscuits and all the squash you can drink! Oh also possibly saving someone's life, which is pretty great.

Today we spoke about one direction, my awkward directions veins and I got to hold my blood bag! I was allowed ten years ago too.. Its so warm (sorry squimish folk) The design is fit for purpose. Come in sign in on the right. Fill out usual questionnaire, drink some water (compulsory pint) and top up on sugar, some biscuits and fruit provided.. FODMAP note... They for the first time ever had wheat free option.. Mrs crumble macaroons were provided. I was impressed! Along with usual yummy biscuits and cheap crisps. Thenyou go into the room check your iron levels... This is a permanent donation centre.. So no screens here! Actual rooms to talk over the medical questions etc. Then you wait. ( toilet on the right from all the water) Then you are seen.. They have the new chairs with the dipped bottom which swing back.. They're super comfy but very much designed for taller people... As is everything. Then you complete have a tea. And some more sugary snacks and off out full circle. Very good. Summary... Built for.purpose and it shows. Never feels.like they are playing catch up unlike the mobile Hall set ups. Very clean feel but not.too hospitality.

I am very traumatised and distressed with the recent experience I received at Harley Street Allure…read more I am a medical doctor and am deeply concerned that this type of company exists and afraid unaware members of public would have to experience this without knowing any better. During the appointment I was asked to read a small print piece of paper supposedly providing all the details of the procedure (LED teeth whitening), this was riddled with spelling mistakes and poor grammar. As soon as I walked into the room, I was ordered to lie on the bed and put on a bib. The procedure was not explained properly at all and then a plastic gum shield was suddenly sprung on me demanding me to put it into my mouth. I placed it into my mouth not understanding what was going on and tried to remove it to ask a question. CW (the technician) then started shouting at me to keep the mouth piece in and when I motioned if I could write a question down she ignored me and continued to be dismissive and rude. In exasperation I waved my hand and gave up. She then started to shout at me saying I was a challenging patient and should have read all the instructions on the piece of paper she had given me. After the initial treatment, she started to bark orders at me rudely not asking about the previous questions I had. I asked if she treated all her patients in this manner and she quickly became aggressive and started shouting "only at challenging patients", "you should have behaved like the previous patient, she was did exactly as she was told". I tried my best to reason with C's illogical argument and out of the blue she shouted "I'm terminating this session, get out, get out!" At this point I was so shocked and upset, I got up quickly and left. After the door closed she then ran out after me in the corridor, shouting obscenities and further abuse. Her behaviour was irrational in nature and threatening. I have now read several reviews about her "bogus" clinics previously set up as "Miami White" and truly feel for the all the people who have suffered under this scam. Please avoid at all costs.
