This place is a fun place to bring kids and have a family outing for a fall or festive event. The workers were nice and it is a well done farm. However, I think the price for admission and the food/activities there are far over priced in my opinion. On weekends admission is 22$ a person and this does not include every event there such as pony riding, cattle/zoo petting, pumpkin cannon etc. Be prepared to spend more money on top of that if you want food or drinks and if you want to keep your pumpkins or apples you pick at the orchards. It overall was a pleasant time but you'll end up taking a not cheap day trip if you travel there on the weekends with a family or group of friends. There are other farms with a lower cost of admission and orchard prices, but we still had a fun time and don't regret our time there! Do wish they would include more events at no cost due to the price of admission.

This place has so many activities to do on Saturday. We came here today. The cost of entry is $15 per person if purchase online, otherwise $18 at the door per person. This eckerts location had pony ride for kids 12 and under that weight 80 pounds or less, petting area, camel ride, a corn maze, apple cannon, etc. The pony ride is of a small size and the kids went in circle for about a few times. The corn maze is pretty big and would need the map otherwise easy to get lost. This place currently has three variety of apples for picking and pumpkins. There are only portable potty located throughout the area.

Eckert's Millstadt Fun Farm is a wonderful outing from Saint Louis. At Eckert's Millstadt you will find hours of fun activities to keep your little ones busy. From a Petting Zoo to Climbing Areas to Picking Pumpkins in the Fields it is a great place to spend the day. Eckert's Millstadt Fun Farm almost feels like being on a movie set for a fall movie, everything is as adorable as it could possibly be. The grounds are beautiful the pumpkins and gourds are gorgeous. Picture opportunities are around every corner. The tractors that pull the hayrides are strong and can manage large groups. There are multiple areas that can handle crowds and even Field Trips. There were fire pits at the front entrance that added to the charm. I will be returning soon with some littles to have more fun.

I have been going to the main Eckert's in Belleville since I was a kid and always loved it. I had never been to the Millstadt location. I had avoided it as an adult since it has a steeper entry fee. I now have kids so it is a more appealing destination. I ended up going this fall with my family as well as co-workers. I have to say it was an absolute blast. Just like the main Eckert's they have apple and pumpkin picking. The apple picking was actually better than when I went to the Belleville location as the trees weren't as picked over. The pumpkin patch was large, and had a mixture of traditional and heirloom pumpkins to pick from. There is a country store, although modest in size, but it had apple cider donuts which are a must if you visit. So what sets this location apart? There are a wide variety of other activities you can do. There is an area to feed goats, llamas, and even ride a camel. You can do races in large hamster wheels, there is a playground, a race track, and a bouncing/trampoline area. Without a doubt though, the most fun things were the pumpkin cannon and the pig races. These are both mini-shows that last ~30 mins each. My son absolutely adored them and I had a great time. You sit on hay bales while a performer runs through a performance. It was great and worth the admission price. So, if you just want to go in and out and pick apples/blackberries/pumpkins go to the Belleville location. If you are willing to spend 3-4 hours just having fun then go to the Millstadt location.

If your looking for some good old fashioned family fun then there is nothing better than a day of apple picking at the Millstadt Eckert's. I remember coming here years ago when there was only a market, some goats to feed, a tractor ride and of course apples to pick. It was great then and over the years the improvements have made it even better. There is now all kinds of things to do. They have pig races, pumpkin and apple cannons, pony rides and a newly added beer garden, among other things. You almost have to remember to go apple picking. It's not super cheap, there is a entrance fee and you will likely buy at least a bag of apples. They have some good BBQ, kettle corn and even funnel cakes. It's an all around super fun place. We go as a family once every fall and look forward to it.

This is a great place! We always come here to pick apples, peaches, blackberries and pumpkins! They are so nice and the produce is amazing! This time we got there a little late but they still took us out to the field to pick peaches. Thank you so much!!

Year. Round. Fun. Winter blues? Spring cabin fever? Summer fun hunt? Fall final fruit finding frenzy? Road trip it to Eckert's! There is usually something fun to tickle your fancy and something tasty to tantalize your taste buds that you're sure to enjoy. It's January now, and I just took my 4 year old niece to a Frozen movie themed day of fun: We got pictures with Olaf and a live Sven reindeer; decorated cookies; got our faces painted; visited the traveling petting zoo; and enjoyed the lunch with Elsa and Anna! I also enjoyed the "frozen" theme by finding some out of season frozen fruit to bring home. Earlier this summer I took my niece for fresh blackberry picking, and we had a berry (ha!) good time! I went back later in the summer for peaches, which my favorite season. The peaches are just divine! The store has a great (albeit pricey) selection of food and gift items for sale. I like to go after payday, and you probably will too. :0) I always enjoy splurging on some applewurst sausage for grilling and a bottle or two of wine...and sneaking a tasty baked good for a sweet treat! Enjoy the fresh produce for sale, or when in season take a tractor ride and pick some fruit! Enjoy the on-site restaurant, frozen ice cream window shop, gift shop, and even cooking classes! There's something to entice everyone - the young, the young at heart. Which are you? Find out at Eckert's!

This was my first visit to Eckert's Fun Farm, and my mom and I went with my three year old daughter. We arrived as soon as the pumpkin launcher show (there is an official name that I'm blanking on!) was about to happen. I think the distance they could launch those pumpkins thrilled me more than my three year old. I laughed like a kid and made my crew stay for the whole show :). The gentleman "manning" the rocket was very considerate, and chose kids with a rage of ages and abilities to help out with loading the launcher. We also checked out the giant sandbox (gotta note that over half the toys were broken) and mini golf area (about 3 balls were all that was around for 8 or so mini golf platforms - this was a bummer since my three year old couldn't compete for a ball with all the school ages kids there). There were fun rides (airplane spinning ride, spinning swings, and an apple car twirling ride) and a fort type play house with ramps running up both sides. A big hit was the horse tire swings over near the tractor ride. My daughter loved riding in the mini tractor carts (an adult can accompany the child) through the corn maze, and the big jump "balloon" was really neat. For $5 you could ride a camel or a pony, and there was a good sized petting zoo where you could feed the animals little pellets or carrots, both for purchase. We went apple picking and I love that they allow you to have an apple right off the tree; we also purchased a small bag. There was pumpkin picking, although we did not participate. Next time I would pack my own lunch, pack my own carrots for the animals (if this is allowed), and be sure to bring hand sanitzer because the bathrooms are porta potties. Very fun day; we'll be back next year on a weekend up to southern IL!

This place was....interesting…read more I'll be honest, it popped up as a pumpkin patch. My sister just moved to the area and was looking for one close for her kiddos, and this was around the corner, so we decided to give it a try. To start, it was $10/person to get in, which wasn't really promoted. We've lived many different places and have never had to pay to get into a pumpkin patch, so that was a surprise. Kids were the same price, also a surprise. The property is pretty cool, they have some farm animals. They sold food to buy but half the animals you couldn't feed and the other half were already full from being fed so much. We assumed it was a regular petting zoo and bought some food before seeing it, so we ended up with leftover bags of food and no animals to feed. The hay ride only went once hourly so you basically had to wait around forever if you wanted to ride it. The maze was cool and the concept seemed really fun to find a message BUT the first word on the message was "God" and honestly, nowhere did they promote this farm as a religious-based experience. Lastly - the pumpkins. We came here for one reason. They don't even grow pumpkins on site, they ship them in, and they don't keep them stocked. I think we had like 20-30 pumpkins to choose from, if that, and they were picked over. We had a 4YO and a 6YO and they couldn't pick any of the pumpkins up, all the kid size ones were already sold. I feel like this could be a good spot for what it is, and if it was marketed as that - a Christian family fun farm experience. But, that's not what we had expected based on the marketing they had, so it was a bit of a disappointment for us.

This is not one of those big commercial farms that are overcrowded with people. Instead, there is plenty of room to roam, and it's great. Our visit last weekend was no different. I have taken my kids here for about 14 years now. We always have fun, whether we are picking apples, pumpkins, or playing. My only complaint is that there usually seems to be a limited staff, and we never walk away thinking, "wow, they were so friendly!" It has never felt like a friendly place. That's surprising to me for a multi-generational family farm. Last weekend was the same, unfortunately. The young lady that weighs the pumpkins was exceptionally grumpy and rude. My kids even talked about her poor attitude. Prices always seem to be relatively high here, although there is no price for admission, which is very nice. However, as we left last weekend, a somewhat oversized woman was walking around the barn entrance, just out of sight from the staff. The kids and I wondered why she was looking at people this way. Then we saw why - She was stuffing mini-pumpkins in her coat and pants! Seriously... stealing mini-pumpkins! In all, we had a great time and continued making fun memories. We will no doubt be back, despite the crankiness.

This isn't an overly-commercial apple-picking farm that's crowded with swarms of people like some farms. Centennial is a grassroots family farm with heart and soul. I really enjoy walking out back to the orchard (though they do have a hayride for those with small children), and going through all the rows of apples. There are multiple varieties of apples clearly labeled with wooden signs in front of each row. One of my favorite varieties of apple they have are Empire apples (and it's not only because I'm a huge Star Wars geek). They are a sweet and sour apple that are great to eat by themselves or wonderful for baking with. When you're done picking, just weigh your own apples on the scale and head up to the register in the barn to pay. Pick-your-own apples are $1.75/pound. If you want a peaceful apple-picking experience out in beautiful Augusta, Mo., then please give Centennial Farms a try!
