Boy is as I surprised! What a great performance by everyone in the Festival Ballet Company! The costumes, the set, the lighting, and especially the dancers were all fantastic! One of the best Nutcrackers I've ever seen and I've seen a lot of them by some big name companies. I'm going back again next year and I'm talking my friends along with me. It's the perfect way to introduce kids to dance, ballet, The Nutcracker. Tickets are very reasonably priced. On certain weekend the company brings in world class dancers from other companies to dance the lead with their dancers.

Forest was incredible- her creativity captured my daughter's vibe perfectly. All the kids had a fabulous time. it lead to my daughter wanted to take summer camp her... again her experience has been just incredible. She talks about camp nonstop from the time she gets home to the time she goes to bed. Now she wants to take dance in the fall. I have been meaning to write this review for a while. My daughter has been at RAD for two years now…read more(she's 5) and it has been the best experience since the very beginning. I was overwhelmed when searching for studios to start her at since there are so many. We actually tried another studio in the area and there were behavior issues in the class, staffing issues with instructors, and communication issues from the studio, among other things. When the culminating performance was pretty much a disaster and very amateurly run, we felt like we had to explore other options. After all, dance classes are an investment and you want to feel good about the studio your child is a part of. We switched to RAD and it made a WORLD of difference. The teachers are professional, but sweet and loving with the students, while also having great group management skills. The classes don't waste any time (another problem at the previous studio where there would be 10-15 min each class that the students were simply standing around- definitely not helping the behavior issues I mentioned). Experienced dance teachers would know you have to keep the class moving to keep 4 and 5 year olds engaged. RAD classes are so much fun for the students but also thoughtfully planned so they are productive and organized. This studio has the warmest environment where front office staff knows every student by name and greets them when they come in. You don't feel like your child is forgotten in the group. Also, the communication is INCREDIBLE. For a busy working mom, I really appreciate how they respond so quickly to emails, always send out updates ahead of time and even send reminder emails! You can just tell the studio is well run, organized and on top of things. Just wait for the performance in June- you will be blown away by the way they run it professionally, safely and efficiently. The level of talent at this studio is undeniable which makes us glad we chose it for our daughter. You can just feel the love the owners have put into this space. Truly, I can't say enough good things about this studio and it is what keeps us coming back and shouting from the rooftops to anyone who will listen. :)

Emily, the owner, welcomed us with open arms and let us know that she had zero tolerance for drama. She wanted the studio to be a safe space and that is exactly what she provides. Emily cares deeply for all of her dancers. She promotes an environment of support and encouragement. She trains her dancers to be the best they can be. She celebrates their successes and helps them through times they need to improve. She never speaks to the dancers poorly. She is always smiling, supportive and welcoming. In addition to Emily, you have Margot and Nathan. These two are also amazing! My daughter loved every single one of their classes as well. I cannot recommend The House enough. The only reason why we left is because we moved out of state. We are so sad to not have such an amazing studio to be a part of. If your dancer is SERIOUS about dance but doesn't want to be at a competitive dance studio, this is the place!

Administration has a very hands-off approach to discipline and put the teachers in charge of…read morehandling it. Most of the administrators go through the same credentialing program, so they are indoctrinated into the beliefs the district wants to project. There is a lack of honesty and transparency with administrators to staff members. Students are not held accountable and the APs are ducklings that following the lead duck, but the lead duck has no idea what he is doing as he fell into the position due to some unfortunate circumstances. Sports (football) take precedence over education. It seems as though the district felt him to be qualified since he was the star of the football team when he was in high school. The APs spend more time on the golf cart riding around the parkings lots and sidewalks than they do working. The academics are lack luster and no one talks about state standards or how to help students achieve them. There is very little training or support for new teachers. The district mostly hires their own graduates back (or people that went to Calabasas), so new ideas are scarce. This is a very nepotistic district. This district rides on the laurels of being affluent and having opportunities provided from the student's parents. It's not the worst of the districts, but it could be far better.

Truly a form of bullying as she had to see all her friends daily who talked about it. So awful and heartbreaking that they would purposely exclude a 4yr old claiming she wouldn't know the routine. They are 4!!!! none of them know the routine. BULLY DANCE SCHOOL- don't go here!
