Agent Amy Fessler (Realestate License #RS315312) from Berkshire Hathaway Hodrick Realty out of Williamsport/Danville, PA as long as our mortgage person was able to be contacted with no issues, then we would be good to go. Our agent from the mortgage company, Amari, has text and call capability. The real estate agent was able to communicate with her NO PROBLEM just as she had asked. Not to mention, we are probably THE EASIEST of people as we already had a house lined up that we wanted to offer on. We get a text message the day she talked to our mortgage agent and said she isn't comfortable working with online companies for mortgages after said she had no problem as long as communication wasn't a problem. Veterans use specific companies for mortgages most of the time due to the VA mortgage benefit. If they have bad credit because of an ex-wife that screwed around on them while they were deployed and ruined their credit in the process, then they use companies like Military Homespot Lending. The fact that we DISCUSSED this with the agent and then MET HER REQUIREMENTS of communication with the mortgage company, but then said she will not be an agent for us because of the mortgage company is ridiculous and UNPROFESSIONAL. Additionally, the way this business treats Veterans, especially those with a Purple Heart is atrocious and disgusting. BH Hodrick Realty should be disgusted with themselves and more so this agent. Regardless of where the real estate agent is getting their commission coming from, they are still getting their commission. Additionally, it does sound like this company has a kickback from local lending agents as their excuse seems to be that they "have fears of using online lenders". Awfully suspicious.

I've worked with a couple of great realtors, a mediocre realtor, and now a HORRIBLE realtor…read more Weichert claims their strength is that the office works in a cooperative manor. It should be said that their office completely lacks communication. Different people are responsible for different activities, and NONE of them communicate! It took three attempts to get their sign person to put the "under contract" sign on the house instead of the "open house" sign. Their scheduler didn't know the house was contract or the black out dates where inspections couldn't happen. The only successful way to get ANYTHING done was repeatedly yelling at the realtor and including the co-owner on it. Because just yelling at the realtor didn't work. Things were late, poorly done, the realtor couldn't remember facts about the house, had difficulty understanding things. Basically if there wasn't a script for it, she was useless. If there was a script for it, she needed to be hand held through the whole process. She never kept track of important dates and made sure things got done, we always had to contact her (or the scheduler directly) to get anything done. Basically, working with JULIE HUGHES at Weichert was HORRIBLE.

My husband and I had a very small piece of property we needed a survey for. Contacted Vassallo because they were recommended to us. They did an initial survey which showed that we had much less land than we thought. We paid an office visit to Mr Vassallo and expressed our concerns. He agreed to do more research, but warned us it would take some time. We told him that was not a problem. We did not bother him for three months, after which we sent several e-mails and left voice messages, all of which went unanswered. I finally reached Mr. Vassallo on the phone and he said "Did you ever hear the old adage The Squeaky Wheel Gets the Grease? Well you weren't squeaking, so I wasn't greasing." In other words, he had done absolutely nothing, because we weren't bothering him. Go anywhere else but this place!!!

Woodland Park Apartments - mold forming on baseboard in hallway

Over the years, the property manager, Courtney, continuously added arbitrary fees and raised our…read morerent far beyond what's reasonable. Our rent doubled within a year, which was more than what many neighbors were paying, even those who had been there longer. We were essentially priced out of our place. Pretty ridiculous for a property manager who can't even show up at the property half of the time. When we reached out we were leaving voluntarily, she declined to respond to us for over a week and sent us a "final move out checklist" less than 24 hours prior to when she knew we were leaving. There's a severe lack of communication not just between tenants and the property manager, but also the company PMI. The living conditions were unsafe. We dealt with visible mold on the ceilings, walls, and baseboards, along with leaking and water damage that the landlord refused to properly fix. Her only solution was to send maintenance to paint over the mold, which came back a few days later because painting over mold does NOT kill it. These issues created serious health concerns, especially for someone like me with a disability. Had we not left when we did, our bedroom rough might have caved in as our walls were starting to buckle. (pictures included) FYI, caved in roofs and severe leaks have happen more often than not to other tenants. Speaking of which: this property is not handicapped accessible at all. As a wheelchair user, I had to navigate unsafe conditions with no accommodations -- which made everyday life incredibly difficult and often dangerous. If you need a chair lift. Denied. If you need a shower chair properly and securely installed. Denied. Even if you offer to do it yourself. Not to mention the deteriorating kitchen. Broken cabinets, fridge older than this century, gas stove that constantly breaks down. Property Manager says every apartment gets renovated before move in -- but I've personally seen tenants move in and nothing has changed except for the carpet. New tenants really get shafted out of new appliances. We finally moved out, and I can honestly say this experience caused us nothing but stress. If you're considering renting here, document everything, expect unannounced rent hikes, and don't count on repairs getting done. You deserve better than what we lived through. The only good thing was the maintenance team. They were very nice and professional and did the best they could with what resources were available to them. Especially Bill.
