They made me go twice to pick up the bed I ordered because they didn't have all the boxes there the first time. Then the bed had a default on the headboard and was missing pieces for the base. They wanted me to pay for delivery to get my missing pieces. I had to call them everyday for a week to make sure they give me what's missing for my bed and complain to the head office so I wouldn't have to pay for the delivery. They never compensated me for all the trouble they put me through. They always tried to make me pay for delivery while it was their mistake that they were trying to fix and it took almost 2 weeks to get my missing pieces. And I had to hammer the missing decorations to my headboard because they couldn't send me a proper one. The least they could've done after delivering an unfinished furniture was to give a rebate on the cost.

Since their foray into Canada they have carried this similar business model that I once remembered 20 years ago when visiting the gargantuan stores in SF, NYC and Chicago. The store here at Carrefour Laval is well laid out nicely decorated and offers lots of items. However I'm a bit surprised how much their items appear to cost in Canada. Sure I know this place is not Ikea particle board furniture AKA kill your fingers putting together with a mini hex wrench. However Cadillac Fairview (Carrefour Laval) must be charging a stranglehold rent for them to have to charge what they do for items at a mall location. Selection is very good and they have high quality items. Really you can decorate the house to make your place look snazzy! A great place for office worker gifts or for the wifey or GF to get you out of the doghouse. If you are patient check out some of their name brand items and order online.
