They did such a great job, were so considerate, knocked every time before re-entering every single time, and even brought a vacuum to clean up the debris. Econo West is the bomb, they are great. I should have called them first before I called Arctic air. Arctic air came out changed my thermostat like I asked, but then they said I had other issues that turned out to not be the case. The only issue was my Freon was leaking and he said if it was the freon and the coil that it could develop a block of ice that could melt and do damage to my ceiling or whatever. He gave me estimate for freon, dye, and things I don't remember. But it equaled over $2,000 and that was just for the estimate, not even including the repairs. And he said if it was the coils it couldn't be repaired that I would need a whole new unit. Well I had Econo West come out and they diagnosed it and found the leak and fixed it for $840. Econo West is who I used to use but I lost their number. I just found their magnet and called them and they came within minutes after the guy from Arctic Air left. I thought they were going to be here while he was sitting in his truck in front of my house doing whatever. Thank God he left. And I heard that Arctic air used to be really good back in the day. When the owner sold it a corporation bought it and when they bought it, of course the pricing went through the roof because that is what corporations do. If you want your AC or heating done properly and professionally and inexpensively, call Econo West, they are great. And they sell air units cheaper than Arctic air and they even offer 5-year or 10 year financing. If I were you, I would go with Econo West, I would not go with Arctic air. I learned my lesson. And I can't believe it cost $355 just for a thermostat. But you know what, lesson learned. I will never use Arctic air again. I could not believe all those charges on his iPad. And those were just for diagnosing. Over $2,000, that was ridiculous. As far as I'm concerned, they are Crooks. If you want to get ripped off, go to them. But if you don't, go to Econo West. I got my Heating and A/C unit installed brand new in 2017 and never had it serviced (lol I know). I called when I started having issues with my Furnace and they set up a service appt right away for the next day. They sent out Wayne who initially did my installation quote back in '17. Wayne was awesome! He knew immediately what was wrong and fixed the problem quickly and cleaned everything up nicely. We were having heating and thermostat issue with the close of winter. Called EconoWest Friday morning and they had a technician come out Saturday morning. They examined what the service charge was and explains that is was waivabke upon completion of suggested repair(s). Richard arrived and immediately introduced himself and handed me his business card. I explain to Richard what was going on and the alerts I was receiving. While diagnosing the problem, Richard checked the information on our AC system too. Richard explained what he found, what needed to be done to fix and have me the cost to fix it. The cost was reasonable, so we had him perform the work. While Richard was performing the work, he offered advice on maintaining the heating and cooling system and also informed me of some new technology available for install to help better filter the air. Once he was done with the repair, he made sure everything worked as it should. He also made sure the area was clean and all screws were properly installed. I highly recommend EcknoWest and Richard in particular for any of you HVAC needs. In the future, I will be using them again. read more

Our bathtub faucet in the master bedroom bathroom had a drip that was annoying so we phoned Econo West Heating, Air & Plumbing. The next day Mr. Navarro the Plumber came to our rescue with his fast talking ways stating our house was old (home built in 2002), we needed to replace the whole unit over the tub. I personally thought just a washer was needed to be replaced. Well after he started the job it didn't go as planned; now our tub has a drip and is leaking water from the handle. I have used this company several times for heating and air condition problems without incident. I have been contacted by Mr. D Kerr to correct this wrong that was done. He stated: A good business makes mistakes sometimes although it's how you correct the mistakes. I needed my dryer duct cleaned out. I was recommended to try this company. I'm glad I did. Getting an appointment was seamless and I was confirmed for friday between 8am and 12pm. On the day of my appointment (today), Gail called me little after 8am to let me know who would be coming for the work and to expect them between 9 and 9:30am. She was very pleasant and wanted to make sure that the time was okay. That was fantastic for me, since I have 3 children and I'm teleworking, they would not be in nap mode. Also, it gave me a good heads up to secure my dogs so that they wouldn't get in the way. Daniel and Shaun rang my door bell at 9:03am. They were very professional and identified themselves as working for Econo West and gave me their names. I didn't even have to ask them to wear masks as they were already prepared when they asked to enter. Daniel asked me to show him the location and vents. After inspecting the area, they gave me my quote, which I thought was more then fair and no surprise charges. My kids hung out in the family room adjacent to the work being done and would wave and say hello. Daniel and Shaun replied back in kindness. The work took about an hour over all and they made sure to not leave any dirt or evidence that any work had been done. Daniel walked me through what they had done and I got to "sign off" on the completed project. I've been a homeowner since 2012 and it is so nice when I find someone who I can trust in my home and who does quality work. I'm very loyal and will be telling all my neighbors about the excellent service I received. Speaking of service, I do now need to call Gail and ask her about maintenance on my AC and Heating. Econo West came out to my house and looked at and fixed my air conditioner for $385. There was a man that came over that was seemingly inexperienced, that said I needed a new air conditioner, my husband called back, and they sent another person who fixed the AC. Three months later, the AC broke, you know, the one outside, again. I called and they came out again, Leon was the service guy this time. he looked at the AC and said that he could repair it but it would be costly and it would not be guaranteed, or I could replace with a new AC. and I asked a quote to move it to the other side of the house, a small house, not a huge house. Also, for a quote to repair it. Leon, seemed really knowledgable and I was thinking, okay, the unit is old, I will replace it. They send me a quote, fixed by Leon, all professional and impressive. They send me the bid he made up. For a new one, that will be moved over to the other side of the house, $10,300. A quote to replace the ducting because I had said that I wanted it inspected in case I need new ductwork, $3000. Or, get this, the repair of the AC with no guarantee, mind you, for almost, $1000. No joke. Just because I always want a second opinion, I call Mike, a man who does air conditioning units independently. I got his name from a friend who is a real estate agent that is local. He comes out to look at it, and sees the problem and fixes it for $185 out the door. And, guarentees the work. And he says more but the bottom line is... Econo West is a scam. If I could give it negative stars, I would. I don't know who Wayne is but I am starting to believe those five-star reviews are a scam, too. I am so glad that I have been around to know, always get a second opinion, call a realtor and ask, they will be glad to help you. At least my friend the real estate agent was, I owe her, at least a bouquet of roses. And lunch, and my gratitude. She saved me $10,000!!! read more

I was hesitant to post this review, but this company kept asking, and kept trying to get me to enlist in their services. So here is my experience. I hired them to clean duct work for a furnace. They told me they had to test the furnace before starting to clean it. Then they told me they have to shut the gas off because it is leaking carbon monoxide and needs to be replaced. I found their test to be suspect as my alarms weren't indicating any dangerous levels. They told me I had to replace the furnace as where it was leaking it could not be repaired. Well, I said thank you, and decided to verify their findings by a neutral party. I called the gas company. They came out & tested everything and said they were not detecting any high levels of carbon monoxide or gas. So either this company's employee doesn't know how to perform test, or their equipment is faulty, or they just wanted a bigger job and thought I would believe this scare tactic. So beware to get a 2nd opinion before taking action on their recommendations. read more
