Scheduled time was between 12-4 but the technician got here early which was great. Last night the A/C fan motor bearing failed. I called JLC first thing this morning, Their tech (Gio) arrvied at 2pm, as scheduled. We'd had the HVAC installer come to figure out an issue w/our system - after 5 hours, wasn't fixed and tech was saying ducting they installed needed replaced and hadn't even been two years! We have always used JLC for the properties my boss owns. But things have changed over there and I will never call them again. 1. Called JLC for a fix to an a/c. They quoted us a new one. We called another company and had the bad valve changed. A/C works great. 2. Called JLC to clean ducts for another unit in the same commercial building and waited, and waited and waited (and emailed and called) for the quote, FINALLY, a nice gal called me back and said they declined the job because the machine was not powerful enough to remove the debris (feathers). I understand the reason. I'm fine with the reason. Thank you for not charging us to not do the job professionally. BUT you wasted 4 days of our time. Our tenants are baking in this heat and you didn't think it was relevant to tell us on day 1 that you could not handle the job?! You couldn't tell us on day 2, 3 or 4??? Instead I had to call and beg for information!! I know, I know, it was my fault. I wanted to use a local business (I previously trusted). Live and Learn. He told me what the problem could be but he wanted to exhaust all options before giving me an estimate on how much it would cost me to replace what he thought was the problem. A few days later the tech returned to make sure things were okay. Furnace was on and off and explored other options and those options worked! Highly recommend. For 6 years we have only been able to raise our heater temp by 2 degrees at a time (turns out it was 6 minutes). We have had 2 other companies out to diagnose with no luck. We called JLC for a different issue, and Josh, the HVAC tech who came out and promptly diagnosed and fixed our current issue, took the time to investigate the overheat, and it turned out the gas valve was just turned up too high. 6 years. 2 other companies. i'm in the middle of the desert in the hottest time and my air conditioning went out. Sounds like a horror story but this is true. JLC came to the rescue. i had called several places and they didn't come out to Lake LA. We had used them before but it was 20 years ago. they were friendly and efficient. From the really nice lady who answered the phone to Michael the technician who showed up on my door less then 24 hours after my call. He took pictures of what was wrong explained how he was going to fix it and got our permission before doing anything. We were expecting to pay a few thousand dollars at the least and a new air conditioner at the most. Michael found the faulty wire the i sealed unit and some ladder thing was all we needed. So for a few hundred dallies instead we are now sitting in a nice cool house. i appreciate the professionalism and timely response. i will defiantly recommend them to friends in the area. read more

I need to update my previous 5-star review for JLC Air. We were extremely happy that they fit us into their schedule and came out to fix our a/c, which had gone out five times in as many months. Their work only lasted about 40 hrs. We had no a/c again, and being a holiday weekend, they would not come again until after the holiday. Our house reached 90 degrees with 11 fans running. Hot air is hot air. Extremely uncomfortable. Someone else did come to repair our a/c and addressed other issues, as well. When I phoned JLC Air to cancel their Tuesday morning phone call, she said, "Okay, oh! You did get it fixed?" I said, "Yes, the house was 90 and someone else was willing to come and address our issue." She said, "Well, call us the next time your a/c goes out and we'll help you." I said, "We did call you, and you wouldn't help us, but someone else did." She, again, re-iterated, "No, but next time it goes out". I said, "No, I've scratched you off my list for good, but God Bless you anyway." We are having a new unit installed by another company. read more
