From beginning to end, it was an absolute delight to work with Ecotech Solar. Our system designer, Ty, was very responsive and did a major redesign of our proposal to give us higher capacity. We compared Ecotech's bids to those of three other companies, and Ecotech won on total capacity, price per watt, and being easy to deal with. The install crew were great to have around, they kept us apprised of their progress, always completing each step on time. The permitting process was 100% taken care of by Ecotech, as was contacting PSE to have our system added, our net metering agreement, and having our meter swapped out. There are some sketchy practices in the solar industry, from solar loans with massive fees, to high pressure sales tactics. Ecotech avoids all of these. No pressure, no crazy loan schemes. At the end of the day, we have an amazing system that will provide 100% of our power for years to come. Working with Ecotech has been hands-down one of the best experiences I've had working with a business. We had a 35 panel, 13.125kW system installed on our home. We spent months working with five solar installers designing, bidding and comparing systems. This is a great company to work with for solar installations. Their sales team is rock solid, very courteous, patient, with a real focus on customer service. I just completed a 12kw install and my system looks and works great. Their install team screws the panel frames down with screws(no nails) and is very conscientious of a clean professional look. I went with a 10kw Fronius inverter and the system seems to be clocked perfectly. They also provide free monitoring with an iOS download from Fronius. I found that other companies charge a monthly fee just to access production information from your own solar system. Working with Ecotech on designing, evaluating, and installing a rooftop solar system was excellent. In fact I'd say it's one of the best experiences I've had with a home contractor of any kind. Without exception, everyone I spoke to or dealt with at Ecotech was patient, knowledgeable, ethical, and competent. I got all of my many questions answered, felt I understood all the options, and the resulting solar system is performing exactly as promised. You can just tell this is a company that's run the right way and the employees care about their work. Other companies said our house wasn't good for solar because of too many shade trees based just on google satellite imagery, and wouldn't even come out to take a look. Their quote was better than another quote we received, they planned a realistic timeline that they actually stuck with (even with the solar frenzy going on), and they were transparent about every aspect of the sale and the install. There were no surprises and we really couldn't be happier with the whole experience. During the install, there was one minor issue, which the company went above and beyond to rectify when they didn't have to, and for that I'm thankful. Echotech did our solar and Tesla Powerwall installation. They did an excellent job from start to finish over a nearly 2 year period of time. As we were building a new home, we worked with them on design and layout to maximize our solar generation efficiency, while keeping within the architectural and reflective glare limitations of our location. I applaud the design teams competence and patience with us while working through several iterative redesigns. Coordination with our building contractor for prewire during construction was competent and effective. After we moved in, the installation team were fantastic, and completed installation in a single day, getting our solar power generation up and running. We then had a delay while Tesla worked through backlogged orders for batteries, but when the Powerwall was available, it was promptly installed and we are delighted with the clean and professional installation. Most importantly, the system works exactly as billed. Since then Echotech has been very responsive in resolving minor issues with Tesla and generally answering my questions. Echotech has also established a long term a working relationship with our building contractor on other homes, which is a testament to their performance.
