He demonstrated great empathy towards the situation, as the tenant was without heat. Consequently, he promptly provided me with an estimate that I felt was very fair and reasonable. Given the holiday season, I was fortunate that they were able to install the unit so swiftly. Additionally, I appreciate Clint's follow-up inspection after the installation. Had some ducting change made to the house to improve ventilation and used West as we'd used them before. While this went OK, it didn't go without mis-steps on their part. Issues seen both big and small: 1. Job was delayed 2 days due to crew not finished with another job, meh, it happens. 2. Asked if crew could start promptly at 8am as we had an appt later in the day. Was told absolutely and reminder came in via call and text of 8 am start. Crew showed up at 8:25, undoubtedly was at shop first and then left from there. Poor coordination. 3. Crew admitted had not reviewed the salesperson write-up well for job scope and did not come with the parts needed. More delays. 4. Crew installed duct and registers that didn't meet job requirements. Had to rework after another wait for parts. Overall not horrible but also, not stellar. They eventually got it mostly right but lots of room for improvement. read more

I am so impressed! The team at West Mechanical went above and beyond to follow-up and bring a successful outcome to my problem. 3 months after the warranty expired on my home cooling unit, the compressor motor quit working. Not only did their technician try everything to fix the issue, the entire office came to my rescue by contacting the manufacturer, following up on the out of stock part and providing rush delivery once the part was available. On top of all that, this morning I received an email letting me know that they were able to process the motor for warranty and have given me a credit on my charge card! Canceled an appointment they knew I had taken time off work to make, without telling me it was canceled or apologizing afterward. Sent unqualified people more than once. I really appreciated corresponding with Mandi. She was very responsive and really 5 stars service! The two guys who came to install an electrical box and light fixture in the bathroom were helpful in getting what needed to be done, done in less than a half hour. Why something like this cost $589! is beyond me. It's price gouging. They charge a fee of $99 for just showing up (I guess that is to secure that they won't flake out like other service people I've booked) but really... it should be applied to the total cost of the work they do. I called West Mechanical to do a maintenance service on our 22W Generac Generator. Juan came to my house and during the Bomb Cyclone our oil cap had come loose while running and sprayed oil throughout our Generator. It has a built in safety feature that It will quit running if the oil pressure gets low. As a result of the cap loosing the safety feature kicked in and the generator shut down. My son-in law came over, cleaned up the oil, put in more oil and it started right up. We've had our unit since we built our house in 2000. It has never failed us. I wanted a certified company to do a proper maintenance on it so I called West Mechanical. Juan changed the oil, and filter and said he was getting error codes so he needed to call his tech to find out what the codes were. He also said that my current unit wasn't generating power to run my whole house. (it has run my house for 25 years) The tech kept putting him on hold. (more billable hours) At the end of the day, this service cost me $663.27. He told me I needed a new Generator and would have his guy Sam give me a call. I got a quote from Sam For a 26 W generator, $12,500+. Juan had shut off our generator and advised us not to use it until I got the quote on a new one or the estimate to fix our existing. I never got an estimate to fix it, but boy did they want to sell me a new 26 W generator. Our power went out this past Saturday and my son-in-law went down and fired up our existing generator. Green light came on which means all is good. Oil full, and no leakage from the oil filter. It got us through that outage. This morning, I had Barron Heating come out for a second opinion. Wes from Barron told me off the bat that my wiring for a 26 W would never work. All the existing lines would have to be changed out including the transfer. We were looking at a lot of additional money. Wes went through the history codes and noticed that the codes indicated that there were issues with the battery from time to time as well as the oil pressure. My husband is in an Assisted Living facility which costs me more than I want to reveal here. I really can't afford a new Generator. Wes suggested getting Banner Electric to come out and do an inspection which would not cost me any where near the $600 West Mechanical charged me. He said get a new battery and keep an eye on the oil pressure and codes. If you find you really need to get a new Generator, call Barron. We would switch your existing one out for a 24 W and use your existing lines. Way easier and more cost effective. I think West Mechanical were more intent on selling me a new Generator that wouldn't even match up to my existing one. I feel like I was being scammed and following my intuitions was the right thing to do. I am praising Barron Heating for not trying to sell me something I really didn't need. But if I do end up replacing it, I will go to Barron Heating and Air Conditioning. West Mechanical at the very least owes me some sort of reimbursement for their outrageous cost of maintenance. read more

Well They came out and said our air conditioner can't handle hot weather. A year ago we got it serviced air conditioner and they drained the liquid and then forgot to fill it up . When we turned it on it was banging and we shut it off , They Came back out and filled it . It hadn't worked the same since . Your guys fault . This high dollar unit you guys have stinks . West Mechanical is my go to electrician forever moving forward. I needed an outlet for a new RV and had gotten another bid that was quite expensive. I reached out to West Mechanical and Shauna replied the same day. The electrician was able to come out the very next day AND actually install the outlet that same day as well. What I mostly appreciate is they quoted me a very fair price that was $2,000 less than the other company. West Mechanical did not try and upsell me things I did not need. They did a clean, neat job. As a bonus, when my RV tripped a breaker, I was confused about what caused it and they came out a few days later to ensure everything was working properly and took the time to teach me what to look for and how to keep it in good working order. I would never use these guys or recommend them to anyone. We had them out to service our main furnace/heat pump and our shop heater. When they left we wrote them a check for $300 for the service call. The shop heater was working before they got there but heating slowly. After they left it wasn't working at all. They told us that we need to spend over $1,500 on a new circuit board and a few other parts. We asked them to bid on a new heater instead and the price was over $4,000. So we asked another contractor to come out and look at the shop heater. He said that it just needed service. When he left it was working perfectly -- he told us no new parts were needed. On the main furnace they said we could either use a new type of filter that would cost $100 and we'd need to replace it every six months, or we could install a new air cleaner that was over $2,500. It turns out that the price of the new filter is $20. Please don't trust anything these people tell you ... get a second opinion! read more

They broke the drywall in the ceiling, they leave big messes behind, their customer service is very poor. The new system they put in broke down, and they would not even come out to fix it in the freezing temperatures we are a retired couple in our 70s they told us to use our other furnace. They came out at least a dozen times trying to repair their mess. They didnâ  t seem to care at all how inconvenient they made things for us. In my 50 years in construction I have never had such poor service in my lifetime. I finally had to just pay them off, and get Baron heating to come out and fix the problem they couldnâ  t fix, $50,000 later. Iâ  m telling you that they shouldnâ  t even be in business. Even the folks that recommended this company, couldnâ  t believe the Poor Work they performed here. read more

The West Mechanical crew is great, from the sale rep to the installers. This is the 3rd project we've had West mechanical work on at our house. The largest was the new on demand boiler for the radiant heated floors, it's a 4600 sq ft. floor plan so the system is fairly large. They competed a heat pump for our air b&b and just finished installing an on demand hot water system for the same unit. We highly recommend this company. They are on time, polite and leave a clean work site when the work was finished. read more

I initially wrote a great review after my RV and sauna hookup were initially done but I spoke way too fast, as it's months later and I'm still having to deal with West Mechanical. The work, that the technicians said they do "all the time" did not pass inspection. Getting them back out here was difficult. I must have called them 8 different times and at that point it felt like without my prompts nothing was going to happen, not even the initial inspection by PSE. The second time they came out, to fix what the inspector said was an issue, I got a time frame and waited and waited. Finally called and the receptionist says they already came and left. They never let me know and I wasted half a day. Now they are sending me a bill for $1,300 that I paid. I have proved in detail that I paid it but they're still sending me this "unpaid invoice". I would never work with these people again. It's been nothing but a headache. read more

I contacted the office and they offered me another tune up service for free after I explained what their technician did and didn't do. These guys are awesome... We started looking for an AC unit for our home. We called a number of different contractors (Sears, Washington Energy Services and Home Depot) for a quote. All were quick to give us a quote but never really took the time to look at our home's layout. And in hind site that may have been a good thing. West Mechanical came in and actually took the time to get to know and understand our home and the rather unique way our homes ventilation system is set up. Every detail was explained and the sales person (Stephanie) was very knowledgeable about the products she was presenting. The owner of the company even took the time to come out to our home and explain everything to us from a mechanical perspective...what was wrong and what we needed to do to get the most out of our new system. Sometimes it's the little things, like the extra personal attention that make all the difference. We contracted with them today to install our new unit and we are very excited to see how everything turns out. read more

We were delighted with the installation of our new heat pump. Tanner did terrific job, was very pleasant to work with, and everything was done smoothly and efficiently. I'm very impressed with West Mechanical's performance. ADDED NOTE: Unfortunately, Tanner did not do a satisfactory job with the paperwork -- instead of turning in our completed rebate form to his office, he left it in his truck for a week and a half, where it likely would still be sitting if I had not chased it down by inquiring with the utility company to check on the status of my rebate. The technician did an insufficient repair on a two year old fireplace. Like others who've reviewed this company, I experienced a short cut service call. The technician was messy, forgetful and failed to reassemble the unit properly, causing more damage to the unit. The company doesn't stand behind their work, saying 'technicians are human, too'. After a third visit to correct their insufficient repairs, I gave up. I don't recommend this company. read more
