First, I want to say that the service providers at Ecumen's Home Hospice are outstanding. Denise (RN) is truly a star. Logan (case worker), Riza (aide), Ian (music therapy) and alternates Amber, Lois are all wonderful--very caring, compassionate, and attentive, and they provide excellent care. I also greatly appreciate how supportive they are of the caregiver. They consistently ensure that supplies are provided and well stocked, which makes a meaningful difference during a very challenging time. My only concern is that services are not "open" or available on holidays and weekends. Illness and end-of-life needs don't take breaks, so it feels odd and somewhat disappointing that Ecumen's services are limited during these times, when support can be just as critical. Overall, the care team is exceptional, but expanded availability would greatly improve the experience. read more
