The appointment itself was fine despite the wait. Front desk staff were fairly friendly although there was no one there at first. Dr. Dye himself seemed amicable, if a little harried. The technology they made use of was interesting. I'd be following up with them, except they have not bothered to return either of my voicemails, which makes me feel undervalued as a patient. read more

They were able to squeeze me in after I had a concern about a tooth abscess, they were really understanding with my anxiety and didn't make me feel nervous at all, I left this place in less pain 10/10 going here from now on! (if you bring your little ones they have Gameboys in the waiting room) read more

As far as the people working there, you couldn't ask for better. You get a very nice smile and hello the moment you walk through the door. Dr. Brown is friendly, caring, and funny. The rest of the girls working there are so nice and so much fun to laugh and talk with! I sometimes forget what is going on in my mouth while I listen to them. :) I could have taken off a star because I have experienced a bit of them being pushy as far as getting deep cleanings done and making extra cleaning appointments. I know they mean well, but not everyone can afford that. However, I can not tell you how wonderful they have been about working with me on financing and finding the best way for me to afford what needed to be done. I will say one more thing that should sum this up well. Dr. Brown was concerned enough about me after getting a root canal, (my first and last I hope), that he even gave me his home number in case I had any problems. Now THAT is a doctor who cares! :) read more

History

Established in 1981.

Dr. Lindsay Brown is a lifelong resident of Cedar Rapids. Since 1981, he has been providing his patients with exceptional comprehensive dental care. Highly educated, Dr. Brown obtained a Bachelor of Science from the University of Iowa and his Doctorate of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr. Ed Dye became the owner in 2017. Dr. Dye loves to provide every patient with the best care that he can and strives to do exceptional dentistry. He also grew up in Cedar Rapids, graduating from CR Jefferson. He graduated undergrad from Cornell in Mt. Vernon with BA in Biology and a Chemistry Minor, played basketball 3 out of his 4 years at Cornell. He also graduated with a DDS from the U of Iowa College of Dentistry. Dr Dye practiced Dentistry in Ottumwa at RHCHC for 8.5 years before taking over for Dr. Brown.
