You really have to visit Casa Montano for yourself. It is a magical place. A visit makes an Atlanta outing rival discovering an unknown Folk Artist on a Southern back road, a trip to a secret Mexican village, being escorted to the back yard of a yoruba artist in New Orleans. Oh, and the but-for-Montano forgotten art of the runaway Southern debutante who created concrete art when Atlanta was emerging as an urban nirvana. Name of her now disappeared studio. Fairburn is a nice little old sort of suburb just beyond south west Atlanta. Visiting Casa Montano is actually better than Urban Nirvana was. And it was my favorite place in 1996 Atlanta.
