We needed an old, brick retaining wall to be rebuilt as it was starting to fall apart. I learned that drainage holes were never installed and thus it was finally at a point of failing. Eric was recommended by neighbors who had successful work done my him and his crew. Eric is professional, punctual and consistent. The work and clean up was exceptional. They rebuilt the wall and put the proper netting, drainage and bricks in place. My plants were protected as well. I need repainting but I am attaching some proof of great work. I can't say enough good about this company. Eric and his team were amazing. The front stairs in our home were detaching from the house and starting to cause issues. These guys came in and in a days time had everything torn out. The old stairs hardly had a foundation; no wonder they were falling down. The finished product is amazing!! Very strong foundation. Wonderful construction. These stairs will last forever! Their masonry work is beautiful. But not only was their work exceptional, they did so many other things from putting the extras dirt in places where we needed it and then smoothing it out. We were left high and dry from another company when they demoed our previous retaining wall, then half built a replacement wall. This was in ~2020. After several years, I got up the nerve to look up contractors who were willing to finish it for us. I'm so thankful to have found Eric and his company, Salazar Masonry Service. Eric was very responsive from the get go. He was thorough in explaining the process and what was needed to complete the job...and then some! Eric's communication was awesome from the first time I reached out. He was professional, friendly, and professional. He let me know the morning of when he was on his way and progress getting here (his commute was 90 minutes away). I got a quote for material and he offered to call and get a better price and then I called in to pay for it. What a kind gesture! He and his crew were timely and efficient. Eric explained the process and showed us what he was going to do. When he ran out of material, he got more and when he charged us for the material and trip, he didn't price gouge. He showed us the receipt for the additional materials and that is what we paid. We couldn't be more happy with job and Eric's professionalism. Eric replaced some tile that was removed and broken when we had to have our garden tub replaced. He also did some touchup grout work on two showers in the house. Not only did he do a great job but he was a pleasure to work with. He was quick to get back with me to set up an appointment to come out and look at the job before giving me a quote. His price was reasonable, and he was very responsive and clear in his communications. He was careful to source the correct materials, clean old grout off old tiles to be reused, and added a solid base and waterproofing that was omitted when the old tub was first installed. He obviously cares about the quality of the work that he does and goes the extra mile to make sure things are done right. These guys did an excellent job rebuilding the top part of my natural stone fireplace in a new home purchase, that was pulling away from the wall due to poor bracing. They pulled the rocks down and built them back up. Was a 12-hour job, 9am-9pm. They also sealed some cracks and repaired a stone on the outside chimney.
