Rocco has been boarded here since he was a baby. He was always with his 'brother' who passed over a year ago. I worried he'd be lonely but he is very social. The staff is incredible with him as he's a chihuahua and so many are much larger breeds. Always had a good experience at Eddie and Barkus. However, they do an awful job at communicating business changes to customers. We found out we can't use our daycare day package during boarding days. We have to pay for a whole day of daycare when boarding our dog and cannot use days that we have in our package. Common sense isn't sensing. Talk about being greedy. read more

My fur babe, Roxie, has been going to Eddie & Barkus since she was a pup! She started out going to the Fargo location, but has been going to the Harwood location since we were introduced by their field trips! I can just drop her off at the Fargo location and they will transport her to the Harwood location and back to the Fargo location for a small fee! They always send pictures and videos to my mobile phone throughout the day! When I pick her up they send us home with a report card and a picture! They treat Roxie like their own and even have cute nicknames for her -- "Roxie girl" and "Roxanne" are my favorites! Also, their baths are low key AMAZING! 10/10 would recommend Eddie & Barkus to anyone looking for a daycare for their fur babe! read more

Our rescue dog, Pawg, is a loyal Eddie and Barkus pup. He has lots of unique quirks that don't always make him the easiest dog to care for and E&B at Harwood has always taken exceptional care of him and they love him quirks included. I can leave him there for daycare or an overnight stay without worrying at all because they are so good to him. He comes home tired and happy which is the dream. Eddie and Barkus (Holland,MI) is refusing to help at all with our puppies injury that was sustained while he was in their care. He was dropped off for an evaluation and came back with a broken knee and 3 different stories on what happened when the owner was asked about it. He is refusing to answer a phone call and we have asked for video proof of what happened. Now we have to come up with $6,000.00 to fix our puppies knee. We had taken our last dog to Eddie & Barkus for many years and had nothing but a great experience. After the passing of our last dog in 2018, we recently welcomed a new pup to the family and have taken him to E&B for boarding a few times and sadly this place has gone downhill considerably. When making the reservation, they'll ask if you want an exit bath. My son & I both have allergies, so appreciate an exit bath whenever our dog is at the kennel. Other places we've used for boarding typically charge $15-$20 for an exit bath. It was complete sticker shock when I picked up our dog and was charged $90 for a bath!! We'd given him a bath the morning before dropping him off for the wknd, so he wasn't dirty. They don't give you any pricing up front, nor on the website. When I spoke with the Manager, I was told that pricing varies based on how long it takes, so there's not a set pricing. There was no apology for a lack of price transparency and apparently I was charged $90 the last time I had him in for boarding but I didn't realize it as I was never given a receipt or pricing detail. I was told that I don't have to do the bath for future visits if I don't want to pay that much. Will be searching for a new kennel for boarding after the lack of service and pricing transparency. read more

I was told it was going to be around $85-95 to get my husky bathed (was fine with the price so I made an appointment). when I dropped her off not one word was said to me by staff (which was also fine there were quite a few ppl in) when I picked my dog up they charged me $125 and didn't tell me why it was so much more considering they didn't trim her nails bc my dog won't let you. my dog was still wet when I picked her up and it's -10 degrees out and they also failed to take her to the bathroom even though she was there for 8 hours. read more

I was looking for a dog daycare and I had heard a lot of great things about this place. When I called in, they asked for my vet to fax them my puppies records, and then after set up a meet and greet. I didn't hear from them in 48hrs so I called Eddie & Barkus for an update. They told me because she was pit bull mix, she wasn't accepted. No one at the place has ever meet Bella before. I was astonished that a dog daycare would allow such stereotypes that some ignorant people believe to be apart of the ruling in accepting & denying applicants. Bella is a 6 month old, 40lb pitty mix. I was talked into buying coupon book for my two dog. I never asked for refund since I believe I was going to bring my dogs for day care. In April I boarded both dogs for three days and two nights, one of my dogs came back sick with diarrhea. I noticed that both cans of food were still in the overnight bag. I ended up taking the dog to the vet, and she was on medication for a week, never once I called to complaint, even thought I did not like their demeanor. I called today just to ask about their refund policy, I had to explain myself three times before the rude lady that answered the phone told me that my $300.00 was not refundable. The place is not all that, smell like urine most of the time because the girls keep mopping the pee without changing the cleaning water. What a disgrace! A really great facility. You can watch your pets on a webcam if you wanted to. So many dogs playing and they separate them by size. The services offered here are great and substantial and the staff knows what they are doing. You can feel safe leaving your dogs here for the daycare or overnight. They are great! This can get a bit pricey, but it is worth it if you need the services. read more

My husky/german shepard got bit staying at Eddie & Barkus. People working had no idea until I called saying she had blood on her mouth. Had to get the abscess taken care of, as well as put her on antibiotics and pain meds. E&B assumes no responsibility when you put your dog in their care, so they don't cover a cent. I boarded my dog because the airline would not allow my French Bulldog in the cabin. We heard great things about the place, but our experience wasn't great. Our dog is small and when we looked online to see our dog on camera and they had him with bigger dogs. That was our first concern. Then we stopped seeing him on camera.that was our second concern. When we picked him up he had zero energy which was nothing like our dog . We figured he was tired from playing all day. Once we got home we recieved a call that they checked out the wrong dog and we still owed them money. If you have been there you tell them your dogs name and they bring your dog to you. So im not sure how they checked out the wrong dog. We gave our dog a bath that night and noticed bite wounds all over him he didnt want to eat or even play. I would never reccommend leaving a dog in their care. They do not have your dogs beat interest in mind. We get that dogs play rough but to allow a dog or dogs to continous attack my dog is pure neglect. Do not let the smiles at the front desk fool you. I hope people really read this and do not bring your dog here. My dog will never be boarded again and i hope you all think twice before bringing your dog here.Eddie and Barkus should be closed and not to aloud to operate any more. read more

I've kenneled by 12-year-old poodle/Eskimo Spritz/terrier plus assorted odds & ends mix there 3 times now and have never been less than satisfied. He has stayed for as little as one day and as many as 6 and while he is always happy to see his human again he has always returned to me healthy and seemingly happy. I also like that they have cameras that you can log onto and see what your furry pal is up to at any given time. I would recommend without reservation. read more

The woman cut her tongue, a huge cut! When I got her home she wasn't acting right. I then realized the cut and she hadn't been given a complete hair cut either. I called the owner wanting my money back and for Eddie and Barkus to pay for the vet bill, but she was rude, and denied it happened at there business.
