Smart K9 is the best place for your furry friend. My dog Koda made the move from Texas to North…read moreDakota, he took it rough. He was scared and unsure of everything. He went from a very quiet home to now living with many (loud) humans and it was a hard transition. At the time we had also done many vet visits because we thought he had terrible allergies, he was biting his tail raw and licking his paws until they were infected. As his owner I knew I owed it to him to find a training center that he could grow and become confident in me as his owner and in himself. I did a lot of research and during the consultation meeting I asked a lot of questions because my dog is my family. After the first visit Emily said that she felt he was highly anxious and asked if we'd considered any anxiety medication to help him out. Turns out it wasn't allergies but anxiety! On top of that Koda did the four week board and train program making unbelievable progress. He's now able to ride in cars, go to the vet, and is welcoming to new people coming into our home. I could probably type all day about how amazing every staff member is at Smart K9 and how they are the best in town, but if you aren't convinced by now- go sign up for a consultation and see for yourself! I promise you will not regret it.

I enrolled my dog in day training at Smart K9. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing and…read moreextremely concerning. My dog got kennel cough in less than two weeks of being at this facility, I am fairly sure it was from there because he does not go anywhere expect my house and back yard because he is reactive and thats why we were starting training. The vet said he should not be around other dogs for 3-4 week and the owner encouraged me to bring him back while he would still would be contagious! I doubt they told the other owners that are currently enrolled that there dogs were exposed to kennel cough! Because of thier very concerning reaction to our dog getting sick and how they handled it I don't want to take him back there and they are unwilling to give any money back for services that were not preformed and are unwilling to talk! please read that contract very carefully if for any reason your dog got killed or lost or anything nothing is on them and you would still owe them thousands of dollars.

We arrived and saw that it was actually a business called Muddy Paws, which was next door. I explained what we wanted done and the (very unfriendly) groomer said it would be about 25 minutes. I noticed the pricing on the whiteboard for their services and a trim was reasonable, but a bath and groom for our dog would have been well over $150, which is too high (especially for the quality!). We were notified in 30 minutes that she was ready. Disappointed, to say the least. Her feet were the only thing done correctly and her face looked horrible. Her ears were trimmed too short and a little trimmed under her eyes, and that's all I noticed. If it had cost any more I would have demanded more be done. Do not take your dog here.

DO YOUR RESEARCH…read more We thought we had, but we were wrong. We searched to find someone in the area who would groom cats. Our sweet Bella had Matting on her so we made an appointment at a local groomers to get her refreshed. Upon dropping her off, Kellie made a comment to the girl at thw front desk that we knew she was most likely going to look a bit wild. THIS was not what we expected nor was the comment an invitation to SHAVE HER... butcher her is more like it. Not only could a toddler do a better shave job, you shaved down to her BARE SKIN in numerous places. An appointment we expected to take three plus hours, you had done in 45 minutes. It is pure laziness and honestly just negligence! Our happy, go lucky, talks all day Bella, is now traumatized and cut up. You didn't even have the courtesy to call us FIRST and ask if this was what we wanted. Upon further research, we see this isn't the first time someone has had an issue with your laziness. Do your job! If you can't or don't want to, QUIT. But do NOT push your laziness onto innocent animals who can't defend themselves or speak up. Because they may not be able to, but I PROMISE YOU, THEIR. PARENTS. WILL.
