In addiiton to being a supermarket, the salad bar rocks. It's always fresh and I take the large box and never pay more than 5 Euro. Let me be clear....this is a salad with everything which more or less stuffs you. The selection in the supermarket itself is a bit thin but what do you expect from a supermarket in the middle of town. You'll find everything you need...there just won't be 10 different brands offering each product. In summary, a hidden gem in the middle of town!

I come here at least once a week, normally to buy their freshly squeezed orange juice, which is amazing. I do get annoyed by their drinks selection though... When I visited the shop there was a pianist playing nice songs on the piano which made a very unique shopping experience. The cashiers gave me the wring change and were really slow. The employees are also openly passionate about food and especially drinks. I will never forget two of them sharing their home brewed hot wine around Christmas and handing out the recipe.

It's a big supermarket, you can find almost anything there. It's not as expensive as Edeka or Rewe, but not as cheap as Lidl or Aldi. Remarkable things about it are: 1) a book section, 2) a very big toy section, 3) big '1 euro' section, 4) massive frozen food section, all sorts of pizzas, i mean ALL 5) lots of fruits and vegies, including exotic dragonfruit, cactus fruits and so on. 6) an amazing choice of chocolade and confectionary, not sure because it's Christmas time now or just because. For 'points freaks', like me, Real is the place to shop: it's part of the biggest loyalty card program in Germany, Payback card. So happy shopping and don't forget to scan your card!
