My main note is that the free mints they offer are rather unsafe. Both the honey and I almost choked on them due to their size and smoothness and I don't think I've ever encountered that before. All in all, a great lounge if you're flying back home, but definitely avoid the mints and pick up a charging adapter as all the outlets are European.

The layout of the lounge is also odd, as it develops length-wise, with the food/drinks area connecting two long rooms where tables and armchairs are located. Not all armchairs have access to a power outlet, and in fact there are extension cords in between armchairs, which I've never seen at an airport lounge. No TV's. The bathroom has only 2 stalls and 1 sink. We originally arrived at the first class terminal to check in and go through security. At that time our attendant let us know that our flight was significantly delayed due to protestors that had glued themselves to the runway. Upon realizing that we had extra time and that we had items to submit for a tax refund, they arranged for a car to take us to the B terminal first class lounge so that we could hit the global blue counter before our flight. The terminal B first class lounge was just as lux as the other one while also being less crowded. The buffet had just turned over to lunch and had some really fresh veggie options and also had the option to order from a menu. Several different seating areas as well as a bar, cigar lounge and spa. Luckily our flight was not excessively delayed otherwise I would have been happy to try out the spa. Wonderful ambiance and service throughout. Hopefully this will not be our last visit.

When traveling in Germany, Lufthansa is the Star Alliance partner lounge with United. I've been to several Lufthansa Lounges. Some have more amenities than others, which include showers, changing rooms and/or beds for a quick nap or rest. This particular Senator Lounge at FRA is always clean and very well stocked with food and drinks. A great selection of food and beverage is always available! Overall the lounge is very well maintained with a lot of seating space. There are quiet areas and central areas alike to lounge or work, while you're between flights. Additionally, there are also quiet booths for phone calls. Would I go back? Absolutely. A friendly oasis when having to trek across the planet is always a welcomed break in the action.
