The people who work at Bushy Tail are all extremely nice and are very enthusiastic and sincere about what they do. Recently they moved to bigger premises and now offer rooms where you can have treatments from alternative therapists. If herbal medicines are your thing I doubt you'd find anywhere offering better quality combined with such attentive customer service.

It's all very low key, with the obligatory fishtank, comfy seats and piles of magazines. I particularly like the fact that they have National Geographic as this is the only time I get to read it! I was lucky enough to get on the list of the only NHS dentist so even the bill holds no fears. Everything is discussed and explained in detail so you know exactly what is going to happen, and no-one talks down to you. Checkup appointment times aren't set in stone but are tailored to the state of your teeth. Better condition means less frequent appointments. (Now that's an incentive to look after your teeth!)

The building is supposed to be too old and inadequate for the future of the Centre but it seems fine to my eyes. It's never full, and doesn't seem at all shabby. Nevertheless, there are plans to relocate, and I hope they can do this without disrupting the services too much (or losing the Centre altogether - that would be awful). The appointment system has become a bit like ringing a bank, with a series of recorded messages to negotiate, and I think that's a shame. I'm also a bit unsure about the introduction of a nurse to take the place of the GPs on certain days - but those changes probably apply to a lot of other Health centre across the UK. I'm just very glad we have a doctor here in town at all.
