    Eden Hotel Wolff

Stunning hotel. Impeccable service. Our group of 13 plus 50+ bags converged on this hotel unannounced. They greeted us with kindness and patience. The breakfast was excellent! We came back through Munich a week later and I had trouble with a train route that was closed. I walked across the street to the Eden and spoke with Domenico (concierge). He wrote out a train route for me to take to get around the closure and get to my destination. This sweet man went above and beyond for me and my daughter.

    Alpine Suite. Sweet.

This was our second time at the Eden Hotel Wolff. It's RIGHT across from the train station which is a mixed bag but was perfect for us both times. They were really great this last time and upgraded us to a very nice suite... no, I did not mention to them that I yelp a lot. (Would never say that to any business.) They were just, "here... enjoy". This was their "alpine style" suite and it was really clean with lots of space. Like a lot European hotels, their breakfast buffet rocked. Fruit, yogurt, granola, cheese, breads, meats, eggs. One more thing you should know... the main Munich train station (München Hauptbahnhof) is right across the street so, while that's convenient, it's also kind of a mess... buses, metro, cabs all over the place. But how nice to wheel your bags across the street and be on your way. And some great places to eat. Actually, the train station has quite a history and is pretty cool in itself.

Overall, not worth the money. Pros: location Cons: very basic amenities, not entirely clean, no coffee in room, broken ikea-like furnishings, older facility I get the feeling this facility has enough business because of their location that they just don't care to do more than the minimum.

    Pretty wood everywhere

Since I was spending only one night in Munich and arriving around 6pm, I decided to stay somewhere super close to the train station. The Eden Hotel Wolff was perfect- it was right across from the Hauptbahnhof (Main Train Station). I just walked off my train into the hotel. Super convenient. Service: to begin with the positive, the service here was 5 stars. The concierges were helpful and friendly. They helped me figure out what to see on a tight schedule and shared more details about one of the palaces I was interested in. They also helped me store my bags after I checked out. Breakfast Included: The breakfast buffet was nice and pretty standard. You give the waitress your room number and she'll bring you coffee, cappuccinos or tea. You can also serve yourself to get juice, bottled water and tea. The food spread was nice - a big fruit and veggie selection, different mueslis, omelette, lots of different sausages and sliced meats and cheese. They also many kinds of bread, pastries and croissants. Pretty setting with lots of windows. The Hotel Lobby and Stairs: Pretty lobby with comfortable sofas and tables. I really liked the art on the walls walking down the stairs. Really pretty landscapes and portraits in golden frames. Nice elevator with glass walls so you can see the art on the way down. Room: The room was nice and roomy. Pretty wooden headboards and tables. The carpets were pretty dirty, so I just wore socks to be safe. The bed was really soft, a bit too soft for my taste. I also wasn't a fan of the comforter just being placed on top of my bed without a sheet. I couldn't tell if they forgot to make my bed or if everyone just sleeps with the comforter and no sheets. It kind of grossed me out since obviously they're not going to wash the comforter after each use. I did love that the windows open, so I could air out my room a bit in the morning. There was also a master light switch and a switch to say you didn't want to be disturbed (instead of putting something on your door handle). Bathroom: The bathroom was clean and simple. The shower design was pretty awful. This bathtub was designed for baths and not showers. The shower is placed a third way down the wall and either sprays conveniently at the wall (and not you), or at you and out the bathtub. I couldn't find any way to keep the bathroom floor dry - I even tried holding the shower nozzle. The bathtub itself was really slippery and had no grip mat, although they did have a bar to hold onto. Small, but adequate counters. They had one towel and one hand towel. I wished I'd had extra towels given that my floor was drenched after each shower. Final Verdict: If you're staying in town for a night or looking for something super close to the train station, I'd recommend this hotel. However, for a longer stay, I will personally look elsewhere next time.

As is usual for a full service hotel, they have people outside to welcome guests and a whole bunch of people in the lobby to help with registrations and such. In the lobby is the most amazing display of candy truffles. They're not cheap but they are absolutely amazing. Well worth it. And I don't know exactly how much they are but they are delicious. A perfect gift if you need one. Service at the front is impeccable. And while it's not my own experience, my friend said that her stay at the hotel was excellent. It's across from Cartier and there is a Van Cleef across the street. There is some seriously high-end shopping available on the Maximilianstraße where this hotel is located. As always, the doormen and valets were awesome and the gal who checked us in was a sweetheart. That is where the good stops. The room had an odd layout and not all the light switches worked. There were no luggage racks for our suitcases and we had to ask several times. There were no sheets on the bed, only one cover and the beds were REALLY hard and uncomfortable. The turndown service consisted of water by the bedside but they didn't give us any so we had to call down and ask for it. They also didn't put a Do Not Disturb sign in our door so we were woken by staff early in the AM our first day in Munich. Not good. The in-room entertainment didn't work, the tv remote barely worked and the english option didn't work at all so it was useless. It also seemed really outdated. We had dinner in the bar/restaurant downstairs which is not cheap and the waitress was a smartass with me when I asked a question about one of the appetizers and wanted her to explain to me exactly what was in it. She acted like I was an idiot and I had to correct her. She apologized and was very polite afterwards but it really irritates me when staff at a fancy hotel act snobbish. The included breakfast was decent - with a lot of options - so I was happy with that and the concierge desk was very friendly and helpful as well. The room was not comfortable, low on amenities, needed some updates, and I wasn't impressed. This was one of my least favorite hotels. As far as location to restaurants, shops, and some sights, it's great. But for the price. It wasn't worth it.

So much of this hotel is 5 stars including the variety, amenities, luxury, and staff. This historic hotel is filled with a variety of eateries, entertainment including a movie theater, and the Blue Spa which includes massage rooms, saunas, steam rooms, plunge bath, swimming pool, juice bar and a gym. The staff was courteous and pleasant, always greeting us with a smile. In the morning, the breakfast served on the 6th floor, which is not complimentary, was overflowing with a surplus of options that puts most American breakfasts to shame. We worked out at the gym or jogged through English Garden. We showered back at the hotel then while at breakfast, housekeeping tidied up our room and made the bed. In the evening when we returned the bathrooms were freshened up again, the beds were turned down, and the curtains were drawn shut. Another example of excellent customer service, The Garden was closing but the staff went above and beyond to coordinate with the Trader Vic staff to use service elevators in the kitchen to get someone in our group with a wheelchair down to the restaurant that was still open. It was a really amazing experience. I felt rich for a week! Everyday we were there we found something new, this hotel is huge! The fifth star - I made the review 4 stars because I have some honest feedback to consider, July 2025... the construction is terrible, really confusing with the elevator situation. We were not the only guest having trouble with this. Also we wish the menus had more vegan options across the board. The city of Munich is very 21st century and vegan friendly, the Bayerischer isn't quite there yet and needs to explore some new plant-based options! Maybe dark chocolates at turndown and vegan macarons at arrival??? It's the little things that would make a huge difference. We did appreciate the oat and soy drink options at breakfast but we did have to send back the coffee twice because the coffee was mixed with oat milk and topped with dairy milk foam.

Just a short walk from the Marienplatz, you can easily and speedily train in from the airport. The well-trained staff is attentive to your needs, whether they be for a classic cocktail in the lobby or internet access in your room. When I had trouble connecting to the wireless, someone was dispatched to upstairs with a CAT5 cable quicker than I could restart my MacBook! I was there on business (coming from vacation) and the airline had conveniently lost my bags. Joy. That said, I was checked in quickly and efficiently, handed a toothbrush and toothpaste by the sympathetic Front Desk and also told something about my key card -- to which I smiled and nodded (lost in translation). Upon getting to my room, I soon realized they had been telling me that my key card actually turns on the lights in my room. After several (OK, 10 minutes), of trying to figure out how, I located the thing-a-mig-jiggy by the door (technical term) and inserted my card: voila! Lights! The room itself is sparse, but has all your needs: nice bed, view of beautiful Munich, TV, cupboards, Free Internet (albeit very temperamental) and best of all: lavender sheet spray! I never figured out how to use the rain shower head, but did just fine with the other one that's in there. Hopefully future guests will have better luck. But best of all? The service AND the bar. After having many an expertly mixed cocktail in the hotel bar with my colleagues, I toddled myself over to the Front Desk in a borrowed sweater to inquire if my bag arrived. The (again) sympathetic chap said it hadn't arrived, but if I wanted, he would bring it up to me as soon as it did no matter what time. I eagerly nodded, fearing the worst: I would be arriving to my morning's meetings in sandals. But sure enough, at 4am I opened my door to see my waiting bag. Let's just say it was like Christmas had come early! After going that extra mile, the staff, convenient and beautiful location and clean interior would definitely have me excited to stay at Louis Hotel again. Let's just hope my bags come with me next time!

Super helpful and courteous. Experience overall is really good. I recommend it for a place that's easy to get to, centrally located, and have some cool art when you walk in. A couple things I did not enjoy was that there is a lack of room service, no help with the bags getting to the room, a queen size bed is not two twin beds pushed together. This is my first time in Germany so maybe that's standard because I had two separate rooms and they were both that way. And it would've been different if it were two twin beds with one mattress topper or at least even a queen size blanket but when there are two twin size blankets folded separately on two twin size mattresses next to each other. I know that this is not going to be an enjoyable night of sleep with me and my partner. Maybe the separateness is normal in Germany, but I'm not accustomed to it. Three stars because the place was clean and nice, but it didn't have anything that was extra. Was an average hotel and they missed a few marks with the room being very plain considering that's being an art hotel. All of the art was in the lobby, but most people don't spend most of their time in the lobby and if you stay in the building we stayed in you don't even have to pass through the lobby so I saw the lobby, maybe two or three times.
