We just returned from an AMAZING couples massage with Terrance and Aylin at Edan Spa in Orange Beach - 251-747-0273. We are massage snobs and we HIGHLY recommend Edan Spa. We asked for specific areas for them to work on - knots in shoulders from stress, balls of feet from running & tennis, etc. - Terrance and Aylin delivered!! Beyond disappointed. I cancelled my second appointment but that can't get me back the time and money I wasted here. Facial was sloppy, unbalanced, and disorganized. Skipped the chest area completely, scrub was left all over my face, and just felt incomplete. She ended early and tried to claim that we started earlier than I even arrived in the parking lot (5 min till). Discounted $5 because I pointed out that I slowly got off the table & my phone said 16 minutes before my next service was to start. My hour facial facial was scheduled for 1pm, hair cut for 2. After finishing the facial early, well before 1:45, I wasn't able to be seen for my hair until almost 2:30. I very nearly left after the facial, but really needed a trim. In retrospect, I wish I had left. My hair was cut almost twice as much as I asked. It looks fine and it grows fast, but it's always disappointing to not get what you want Location itself was dirty and out of date. Couch is not only stained/soiled but I was told it wasn't comfy and to sit in a barbers chair. Treatment room smelled like rancid oil and needed a deep clean. High level of drama among the practitioners, I know more than I wanted to. Owner complained no one wanted to work, but truly, the location / equipment / management is the real issue. That's the reason why 3 locations turned to 1. Nothing to do with staffing. I know the business struggle is real after hurricanes and oil spills, but you survive + thrive by being better, not being among the worst spa experiences possible. read more

We booked with Susan for a destination wedding there in Gulf Shores. We are located in IA and even being that far away Susan paid great attention and communicated frequently with me. Susan was everything we needed that day! The salon was beautiful, quiet, (near a CVS and subway for the hungry ladies or any last minute bevy's we needed). Even though we all provided what we wanted that day prior, each of us changed our minds the day of, Susan did not blink an eye and smiled with our indecisiveness! She went beyond expectations. This salon needs to be better prepared on the scheduling. We had two people for massage and one for pedi one for mani. They neglected to inform us that we woulda be following each other not at the same time, also to add any service to your services completely throws them off. Because of this, only one of us received services, the other went to the nail salon across the parking lot. Worst manicure ever!! I came out with chemical burns on all my fingers. Nail tech put cuticle remover on and left it for 30 minutes. I was telling her it was burning and I needed to wash it off. She finally brought me a little bowl of water. Then told me I must have sensitive skin. I had swollen fingertips and burning pain. My nails and cuticles look really bad. If my nails fall out, I don't know what I'll do. Pedicure bowl was broken. No jets. And she only charged me $90. read more

It's a bit like walking into a modern day "Steel Magnolias" movie! Don't be deceived by the simple storefront of a strip mall complex. Inside, you'll find plenty to be happy about! First service I received was a massage from Harmony. I am an expert in this area as I get massages at least once a month, but strive for twice a month. It's also something I treat myself to every time I travel. I can honestly say this was the best massage I've ever had. I requested upper body and feet only. Lots of stress knots (I'm a teacher!) and plantar fasciitis are my main issues. Harmony addressed them perfectly. I wish I could take her back to my hometown! Honestly...the best massage ever! Very professional and attentive. My second service was a manicure. I had gel/shellac on my nails and it was quite a process to remove it. Nonetheless, Rita was attentive and diligent and removed it all! I decided to take a break from the gel and I got a basic polish manicure. Looked fabulous! And she has a super sweet, Southern accent! My friend got "her hair did"! Janna was available for a highlight, cut, and blowout. This was all going in during my manicure. Lots of girly girl chatting with Janna, Rita, myself, my friend and Pat, who coordinated appointments. Janna was bubbly and friendly and pretty darn funny. Pat was like the girlfriend you've always known...classy, pretty and personable. My friend, Leigh Ann, loved her hair. I loved my nails. I LOVED LOVED my massage! Prices are comparable to my hometown of Springfield Mo. $75 for massage, $25 for manicure (even after all that work at removing the shellac!) and $110 for the highlight, cut and blowout. This review is two pronged. My color service was wonderful. Color came out like I wanted. Then to my haircut. If I could give negative 1000 stars, I would. I have a short pixie cut that needed to be shapedup. My stylist seemed experienced and had no issue with shaping it up. After 30 minutes of her whittling on the back of my hair, she apparently realized how she had completely destroyed the cut and took clippers and zipped it off. My issue comes with the fact she in no way made an effort to blend the top with the sides. It is a complete mess. It was a disaster, she didnt even make an attempt to make it look decent. I had to ask her to wet down the top so it wasnt standing straight up. In an effort to not be rude and say what I wanted to say, I even purchased product because, as I stated, my color was great. I paid $220 for my services and even tipped. Then I immediately had to go to another salon to have the disaster on the top of my head fixed. I am so angry. If you are a colorist only, say it. If you dont have experience with short hair, say it. Client beware. If you have short hair, do yourself a favor go anywhere but Eden if you have short hair. read more

Do not go here!! I never write reviews but I truly hope no one else has an experience like we had. We had a girls trip and booked massages. When we arrived they had only booked for two of us instead of three but that was fine. They ended up taking two of us into the same room. They said we were getting facials and massages. She used tools and face/eye masks that you can buy at Walmart. She went back and forth between me and my friend. I have had many massages and I don't think she knew what she was doing. I am still sore from it. Not only that but the room was disgusting and completely unsanitary. The sheets that I got in were not clean. They had sand or dirt in them. She used hot towels on us and would just throw them back in the warmer and then reuse them. So I'm sure that my feet towels ended up in my face or my friends face. When it was finally done we spent almost $200 a piece and let me tell you it was not worth it AT ALL. The only reason this is getting one star is because the people that worked there were super nice. I had a deep tissue by Harmony and it was completely amazing! Although the pedicure my daughter and I got the nail tech did not sanitize any of the tools she used from my daughter to me! They messed up our appointment time and we could not make it to the time they tried to give us, refused to refund our money because she already paid her employee for the time slot we were not told about, had to call the bank to refute the charges. My mom and I came here once because it was right down the road from her condo and very convenient. She decided to get a massage, while I got my roots touched up. The stylist was nice enough, but refused to simply dye my roots, instead saying she was going to do highlights and low-lights. Having never had either before and because she was so insistent, I reluctantly agreed, even though it wasn't what I asked for. My roots were brassy and the low-lights behind my ears literally turned out black, like someone ran a sharpie through my hair. I went back the next day to get them fixed, but the streaks were still extremely visible and tacky. I didn't have time to go back because I was going home the next day, but by then my roots had turned completely brassy and didn't match my hair AT ALL. It literally looked like I had nothing done to fix it. I called them to tell them about it, and of course no one picked up. Left a voice mail and they never called me back, either. Very unprofessional! My mom also said that throughout her massage, the rooms were so thin she could not only hear the employees gossip the entire time in the next room, but could also hear people going in and out of the bathroom and flushing the toilets. Completely non-relaxing and gross. I will *never* go back, convenience be damned! read more

I remembered when this business was further down on Perdido Beach before you go over the bridge to Florida. Great massages, great facials and a great manicure then. The ladies are courteous and attentive, but I miss the original building, it was high-end and even though where it is now is nice, it has poor lighting for waxing and is just not the same feel I had with the former location. Poor lighting as in, you need a lot of lighting if you are going to have waxing done. I came home and still found some unwanted hairs on one side and a mild reaction (bumps) because you are supposed to mildly exfoliate and cleanse skin before waxing and that was not done and afterwards the post cleansing must've had an irritant in it. It was also very cramp for the treatment. Guess I'll go to Cleo's next time or just stick with the facials,etc. read more

We had a couples massage here while on vacation and it was nice. This definitely isn't your typical spa salon and is by no means a fancy place. You walk in wondering if they even have enough space to do all of the services they offer. Everyone was very nice and friendly. The massage room was a little small, but the massages were well worth it. i got the swedish and my husband got a deep tissue and both were great. The prices are comparable to what I have paid at other places, maybe even a little cheaper. Normally the water they give you at the end comes in one of those paper cone cups or a plastic cup, but the water we got was in a plastic glass that had been decorated with stencils and paint and the water tasted a little funny. Neither one of us felt comfortable drinking out of it because it felt more like we were drinking out of someone's personal glass, not to mention the water had a weird taste. I think if they could either continue renovating the space to be a little more modern or move to a more traditional type of spa place I would give it more stars because the service was wonderful, I just never felt like I was really in a relaxed environment like a spa is supposed to feel. read more
