We weren't planning on taking a guided tour of the Vatican, but we are really really glad we did. We ordered skip the line tickets online which lead us to Eden Walks. Alfredo, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and fantastic at what he does. Looking around at the other tours, I could sense how lucky we got. My 13 year old son who thinks almost anything is a waste of time these days loved this tour-I mean he probably wouldn't admit it to his friends or anything-but he enthusiastically told us afterward it's the best thing we've done in Rome and he was so glad we did the guided tour or we wouldn't have known the vast, deep, and amazing history of all we were seeing. Thanks Alfredo, for a fantastic tour! We're sending everyone we know your way!!! read more

We called Eden Tours at the recommendation of my cousin who had traveled to Italy earlier in the year. Alfredo guided us on a tour of the Vatican, Sistine Chapel and St. Peter's Basilica. We were not disappointed. Alfredo was extremely thorough and informative, not to mention the tour fee a was very reasonable. His knowledge of his City is amazing. We would highly recommend using his tour company! read more

I did a private Colosseum tour with my parents and it was the best tour that we all went on in the whole 4 weeks that we were in Europe. Our guide was excellent. Alfredo had such a wealth of knowledge and was so enthusiastic about everything he definitely loves Rome and his job. The best tour guide ever We learned so much in the three hours and got to skip the line, which was great as it was extremely crowded that day. Alfredo knew how to get the most out of the three-hour tour and for us to see the best pieces of artwork. Wow and the Sistine chapel blew me away simply stunning with gorgeous frescos that decorate the interior and my favourite was the ceiling the last judgement by Michael Angelo. Wow Magnifico!! I will definitely be using this tour company again and having Alfredo as our guide next time we are in Rome to explore other areas. I highly recommend this tour and Alfredo. read more

We would like to thank claudio for a great tour. When we found out that Claudio was our guide we were very pleased as we had already read reviews on your website regarding his knowledge and enthusiasm for the history of Rome and we were not disappointed. As my wife is a lover of the history of Rome she had already read up on the subject but was pleased that Caludio was able to help to bring the history to life. We would recommend everyone to take a tour with Eden walks Tours as they would not be disappointed. If we return again (and we hope to), we can take a more leisurely stroll around the Colesseum, Palatine and Forum with the knowledge provided by Claudio who made it all so enjoyable. read more

Visiting Rome for the first time,my friend and I were absolutely sure that we want to see the eternal city through the eyes of a local guide. The best way to fall in in love with Rome is to spend time with someone who truly loves it. And we were lucky, we really enjoyed the guide tour with Alfredo at the Vatican museums and Sistine chapel. He was very passioned about the art of Michelangelo and Raphael. We also enjoyed our night tour around Rome. Alfredo's knowledge of history was exceptional, information was presented in a bright interesting way and we keep memories of this trip in our minds. We would use again the Eden Walks company and we will surely recommend it to our friends. read more

DELICIOUS FOOD TOUR WITH HISTORY AND HUMOUR My wife and I did a food tour with Alfredo at Eden Walks. We booked it as we had a free afternoon after seeing Rome's main attractions the previous days. What we thought would be just a time filler turned out to be one of our highlights of Rome. Besides tasting ALOT of yummy local morsals we also had a lot of fun and especially as Alfredo is a qualified history guide we learned a lot of off beat history tidbits that tied in with what we had learned on the other tours. Highly recommended (and not just as a time filler - A MUST DO!) TIP Pace yourself eating on the tour as the final stop is a real treat :) Thanks Alfie read more

A friend of ours recommended Eden walks tour company for our trip to rome as they said they went with them a few years ago. Wed already done all the main sites years before so we wanted to try something different this time. We ended up on a food tour, organised through them. It was fantastic our guide, Alma was really knowledgeable and approachable she made the whole group feel comfortable. We did 7 different destinations for food from pizza to pasta to supplis. Over 3 separate neighbourhoods of Rome taking in the history. Unlimited wine and just an all round ground experience topped of by the best home made Gelato! Highly recommend ... 5 stars! read more

We were told by knowledgeable friends going in that Eden Walks was the best tour in Rome, but our experience with James and the Colosseum tour was better than we anticipated. He was friendly, engaged, witty, and gives the impression that he is having as much fun imparting his deep understanding of Roman history and culture as you are having taking it all in. This is the best bargain going no matter what your level of sophistication and experience. I recommend you book soon before this tour becomes wildly popular read more
