Communication was inconsistent, important details were not disclosed, and the overall experience caused me significant frustration and financial concern. I would never buy or sell a property with this company again. I believe their practices should be looked into by the state for possible violations. We have stable income and a perfect 7-year history of rental payments. He pre-approved us for a $500k home loan and once we found a place, he directed us to pay for inspections and appraisals before we'd even seen the mortgage contract. When we finally did see the mortgage contract, it had requirements in it that he told us nothing about, and when we asked about it, he told us to sign the contract anyway. He literally directed us to LIE on a binding financial document that he hid from us for weeks. We paid for the appraisal through him - we never met the appraiser, don't know his or her name, and never got the results of the appraisal. We also gave $23,000 to a title company that HE picked even though we knew nothing about it. And then magically, after we spent a month's income on these inspections and appraisals and sent off half a year's income to title, he suddenly came out with all of these requirements that he'd never mentioned before. Demanded we show proof of things that didn't exist, demanded we prove our income from previous jobs despite being in a different state. Nothing we gave him was enough - he claimed that it was his underwriter, a woman named Chelsea Sopko who has NO education beyond a high school diploma and an associate's from a scam university in CAD design, who was denying us. But he refused to explain why the detailed records we provided weren't enough. This man is a scam artist. I would bet my last penny that there was no appraiser, that he pocketed every cent of that fee and is now trying to cover his tracks by denying us a mortgage. Stay far, far away from him and this company if you value your savings and your sanity!
