The location is perfect and within walking distance of a nice amount of stores and places to discover. I loved that I was able to see a beautiful church from my window and being able to open it slightly to allow the nice weather in was amazing as well! The hotel offers free water bottles (two) daily and the turn down service was amazing to have when we came back in after a night out having some amazing food. The prices for the hotel were pretty decent and the amenities I got from staying here were pretty nice as well! They offer breakfast buffet but it is on the higher end so I went to explore the local areas around the hotel! The place was super clean as well and everything was kept up to date and looking fresh! A wonderful hotel and one that I will be staying at again if I ever get the chance to visit Belfast again in the future!

The Fitzwilliam is centrally located close to many attractions such as 1) Opera House - next door 2) Crown Bar - 2 blocks 3) Ulster Hall - 3 blocks 4) Grand Central - 2 blocks 5) Black Taxi Tours - short drive & many, many more. Last weekend I stayed at the Dufferin Coaching Inn on High Street in Killyleagh. The boutique B&B,…read morewhich is celebrating 10 years in business, has recently undergone a £10K refurbishment and had just been named as one of the best places to stay to Ireland. Of course, with that accolade, I wanted to try it out! The seven-bedroom B&B is somewhat of an iconic building in Killyleagh, first serving as an Ulster Bank, with many of the stunning original features still very much in place.We arrived at around 3.30pm and were greeted by the owner Leontine, who gave us a quick tour of the house, including the living room complete with a roaring fire and the bright breakfast area, before showing us to our room. And what a room it was! We were told it is the most popular room because of its size, the large four poster bed and the bathroom complete with whirlpool bath! The deep red and cream colour scheme really complemented the original features, such as the window shutters. The room came with a range of toiletries and tea/coffee making facilities, as well as slippers and dressing gown! Bliss. The next morning we headed to the breakfast area and helped ourselves to the cold selection, which included cereal, freshly made bread and wheaten, fresh fruit salad and yoghurt. We were told to ring a bell if we wanted hot food and shortly after ringing the bell into the kitchen, a lovely lady arrived to take our order. Barry went for the full fry, while I choose sausage and egg. The side accompaniment of stacked up soda bread and potato bread was a great wee touch! Before checking out, I really wanted to see the B&B's connecting Dufferin Hall, as it was the part which had undergone the £10K transformation. (I was also intrigued because I recently got married myself and the Hall is known for its romantic wedding setting.) The hall was spectacular, with its stone steps and walls, and stained glass door panels. Do check it out if you're looking for a wedding venue with a difference! It was then time to check out and I was glad to get the chance to say goodbye to Leontine before we left. We had a nice night away and felt very at home. It's an historic building in the shadow of the beautiful Killyleagh Castle but it doesn't feel dated. The B&B is only 30 minutes away from Belfast so great for a short staycation!

They made our stay delightful with their graciousness. Facilities were sparkling clean with comfortable beds, sitting areas and views. The gardens were cascading with flora and fauna, the backyard near the countless sheep. I feel like they genuinely cared for us and treated us as preferred family members. Eleanor treated us to the worlds largest breakfast and to some of her own delicious treats afterwards. I can't wait to go back!

Driving in at first doesn't impress and it begs the question, am I in the right place ? The red brick building looks old next to the very modern Titanic Museum. But, once you enter this amazingly beautiful back in time hotel, you know it is really something to write about when visiting Northern Ireland ! The decor is so tastefully done to transport you back to the days of the launching of the Titanic. From the ocean liner lamps to the rivets on the doors. From the grand open air bar to the ocean liner models. All will impress you and bring you back in time. There is also plenty of open space to sit and relax or even play a game of chess ! Our room had a California King size bed with a beautiful art deco black/white tile bathroom. Our room was bright and airy with notably high ceilings. Nice 55" flat screen tv and a nice desk. Good closet space as well a room safe. Note: One thing I didn't like was the standard European low water pressure for the shower ! Plus, be very careful entering and exiting the tub/shower. Slipping is very possible. Staff are very friendly and helpful. The dining area is clean and the food is good. There is even a window to look into the kitchen galley to see the food being prepared ! I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in Belfast !

The dinner food that was served left a lot to be desired. My main entree was a bit overcooked and therefore was dry. I asked for extra sauce and after an enormous time waiting for it, I finally asked the server what happened and she said they ran out and the the cooked just made enough for the meals that were prepared. So therefore both food and service was a fail.

Chicken goujons came out so dry and tough we couldn't eat them and ribs had too little sauce and were so huge I was actually put off eating them - they looked kind of menacing. Also, as we walked into the grill the smell of frying was really unpleasant - and I am not generally against that smell. May have just been the type of oil vs their equipment. What the hotel does have going for it is good service and pleasant surroundings (lots of comfy sofas, the odd koi carp pond). A lot of carpet. Hotels love carpet.

It's a gorgeous wedding venue, with picturesque grounds out the back for photos, a massive lounge to keep your guests entertained in, and a hue function room, with lots of space for a dance floor! I've also eaten in the Grill Room a few times and it's great on a grey Sunday afternoon for some tasty food in cosy surroundings. It's out of the way for Belfast, but if you're in the Templepatrick area, it's worth calling in for a feed!

The one thing to be aware of is the all glass bathroom so if you're sharing the room, there is no bathroom or shower privacy! Hopefully not all the rooms are setup that way. Breakfast is very nice, offering a generous spread. Seating is assigned so the restaurant can manage headcount but generally not a big issue. Look for the Bushmills whiskey that they offer as a generous add on to your oatmeal - haha! It makes for an unexpected boozy breakfast start to the day. :) I thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Europa in Belfast and would gladly stay here again next time I'm visiting.

The room was clean and cozy & just what we needed after 18 hours of traveling. The rooms aren't very warm (but we're from Phoenix so our idea may be jaded) and the water pressure leaves a little to be desired but overall we were pleased with our stay. The close proximity to the GOT parking and the fact that we got to sleep where some the actual crew did was amazing!
