I went with Dr Rosbel Gonzales to have botox and Radiesse. First, this Dr did not made feel comfortable, she did not explained the procedure before or during the process. The put some ice on my face, I do not recall any topical anesthetic being used, the injections hurt so much I almost did not finish it. All she kept saying was "ohh... this is so strange.... well may be because the needle is a bit thicker" She did not offered any solution, more anesthetic etc. Well I went home with a swollen face,, when I came back one month later for a follow up and told her that I did not see any significant results, she told me, well I see you are disappointed, however at your age(51) you should have gotten 2 vile/syringes. I could not believe it ! I told her, As a doctor if you thought I would need 2 syringes, by the way about $700, why you did not tell me then ???? I would not have done anything at all. I would prefer to save the $1,500 for plastic surgery down the road. The tone of the communication made me feel as though I was being judged rather than treated like a serious prospective client. Unfortunately, this was not an isolated experience. I had a similar interaction on two separate occasions, which made me question whether this is simply the way potential clients are treated by the practice. I have also personally heard from others who described their consultations with the surgeon as intimidating and said they felt judged during the process. A consultation should be an opportunity for a patient to feel comfortable, respected, and informed--not intimidated or made to feel unwelcome. Based on my experiences, I would not recommend this practice and will be taking my business elsewhere.
