From the initial consultation, the team was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to our ideas. They offered thoughtful recommendations that enhanced both the functionality and appearance of our outdoor spaces while staying within our budget. Communication throughout the project was clear and consistent, which made the process stress-free. The craftsmanship is outstanding. Our new front walkway and steps are not only structurally solid but beautifully designed, creating a welcoming entrance to our home. The back patio has truly transformed our outdoor living space--it's the perfect place to relax or entertain guests. The attention to detail and quality of materials used are evident in every aspect of their work. The crew was punctual, respectful of our property, and kept the work area clean each day. The project was completed on time, and the final result looks even better than we imagined. We highly recommend A & H to anyone looking for high-quality hardscaping work. Since he was the only tree service that could do the job in less then 6 months, I hired him. And I am not sorry I did. They removed the tree 2 weeks later. Came around 9 in the morning and the tree was down and cleaned up and gone by noon. Can't ask for better than that.

I hired Charlie Nansteel Tree Service to remove all my trees 4 years ago…read more It was going to be over a two year period due to the $7000.00 cost of the Job. 1/2 of them the first year, and the 2nd half the following year. I was very pleased with the work and the skill of all their tree experts. During the removal of the 2nd half the the Crain to remove the cut logs broke down and they had to remove the logs with a bobcat and dump truck. In doing so they left one tree standing due to darkness removing what they cut, and Charlie said he would be back to the next day to take down the last tree. So I paid him in advance considering it was only one tree and added another $150.00 tip for the crew. Two years later the tree is still standing, numerous phone calls. Last year I installed metal roofs on my garages and two weeks later part of the tree snapped dying a storm and landed on my metal roof causing it to leak. After calling him he said he would be out net week to take care of it. That was a year ago. Roof still leaks. He was sent a certified letter a month ago To give him 3 weeks to remove the tree or face small claims court. That time limit passed last week. I will hire another tree service to complete the work I already paid for, and pass the cost on to him plus the damage to my roof. I would not recommend using this tree service

We had them do a full bathroom renovation done and some things did not go right which we were…read moredisappointed with. They didn't put a mortar bed under our shower pan or some other material for support so now it flexes and creaks loudly. The spackle is uneven with indentations and some screw heads showing through and wasn't sanded properly. The shower drain connection wasn't secured correctly which led to a leak in our living room ceiling. They fixed it and patched the ceiling but now we need to repaint the whole ceiling to cover the patch work. They cut a hole in our bedroom wall to adjust the shower valve without talking to me about it beforehand and bought paint to try to match our bedroom ceiling wall which they didn't need to do as we had leftover paint for our bedroom if they had just asked us. They didn't remove enough of the old uneven subfloor in the bathroom area even after I pointed it out to their employees and now the new laminate floor flexes up and down when it should be flat and level on a solid base. We had to repaint the bathroom ceiling because their employee only put 1 coat of paint or primer on it. Not a big deal but was more work that i felt we shouldn't have had to do. They new bathroom door doesn't seem to have been installed correctly because we just had some humid weather and it was sticking so much the top part of the veneer on the door started to come apart. I had to sand the door frame area so that we didn't have to jam the door closed. There is some missing caulk around the top of the shower surround where it meets the walls on either end. We were without a toilet for 11 straight days and only have one bathroom. We were told up front that the new toilet could be set in place by end of the first week. The job went almost $10K over the initial contract largely because the employee assigned to our job was too young and inexperienced in my personal opinion to run a full reno job on his own and it drew out the project for too long and cost us far more in labor than it should have. We had no tile work done and yet this job took almost 4-1/2 weeks to gut a bathroom/closet area. We were expecting it to be done in 3 weeks time even with updating the plumbing in the bathroom. The owner didn't come back to do a final walkthrough after he told us he would. Possibly because he had some personal things going on but we were disappointed that no follow up occurred at the time. We requested some money back after fulfilling our financial obligation. I don't see this happening but to be fair he has reached out to us and shown willingness to correct some things which is appreciated. They obviously have satisfied customers in the area with a number of positive reviews. If these things had all been corrected before the job was finished, I really wouldn't have any complaints. At this point we hope to just get the shower base corrected to stop the creaking since it's the area of most concern. In all fairness and objectivity, our bathroom & closet area is far better now than the dated 1960s/70s look we had before but the finish work just wasn't up to our standards for how much we ended up paying. I assume some of it isn't up to the owners standards either but he wasn't the one doing the job. What i've learned through the renovation process is to be insistent and adamant in telling a contractor what you want or if you see something not being done the way you want it and don't be afraid to ask questions and express concerns. When you're paying a lot of $$ make sure you get things done the way you want before the job is finished. it will save yourself and the contractor a lot of headache and less frustration or hard feelings.

He communicated with me on each phase of the repairs and made sure my roof was sealed so I would not have water damage.
