While I cannot speak to pricing, as I was just a guest attending a memorial service, I can honestly say that Lohman's is a very nice funeral home. There is ample space to host home-going services at Lohman. There is also ample parking out front and off to the side/rear of the funeral home. Again, the staff is so kind. So, you don't have to worry on that front.

I chose a date and booked it. I was contacted several times to provide information and fill out the form for what services we wanted. We wanted a military service as well and they took care of that and the American Legion was there to do the ceremony before we sailed. It was a very emotional day .We boarded the boat and set sail. The ocean was rather rough but our First Mate Gary made sure we were all OK and comfortable. Gary did a lovely reading and then guided us down to the deck where we would release my husband's ashes. It was a really beautiful day and as the ashes were released they all came together and rode out on a wave. It was an amazing and beautiful experience. The Captain was also wonderful making sure we were doing well. Even though it was a sad day for all of us it turned into a very positive experience because of the compassion shown to us. We were treated like family and I highly recommend Dignity at Sea.

My story starts when I first contacted Baldwin Brothers Funeral Home - Ormond Beach on April 26, 2018. Lisa Kay Cook- Ormond Beach location, was the first associate that I spoke with regarding the funeral arrangements for my dad. What I loved about Lisa was that she was generously compensate regarding my concern. Lisa even offered to meet me after hours to have my initial meeting with the organization. In addition, she worked all weekend on my contract and made sure to stay in contact with me regarding the process. Lisa you were great, and I truly appreciate your personal and professional support. In my opinion, Lisa truly established a personal one on one relationship with me and this would be the same experience that I would have with each member associated with my arrangements. The next associate that I would encounter would be Christina Stanley- Funeral Director, Ormond Beach location. Christina was great in keeping me informed regarding how the process would go for my family. In addition, she provided me with brochures and pamphlets that allowed me to focus on the tasks that would be ahead of me. Christina was also instrumental in the beginning and ending stages of my arrangement process.This would include her support in starting the death certificate process for my dad. What I like most about her support with this task is that she was very detailed to facts to ensure there were no errors. While I initially choose the Ormond Beach location, I would soon change my mind and select the Port Orange, FL location for my services. This being said, I appreciated the fact that Christina and Lisa maintained their relationship with me although I would now work with the Port Orange location. Brian Gifford- Funeral Director, of Port Orange was very accommodating to my needs. In fact, he worked closely with Christian on many issues associated with my arrangements. Never did Brian display any negative behavior for having to work with another office to support the preparation of service for my late dad. What impressed me most about Brain was the way he conducted himself during the funeral process. Brian interacted with my mother and other family members and expressed his condolences for our loss. In addition, he met with family and friends as they entered the funeral home and greeted them in a friendly professional manor. Brain also oversaw the audio and visual task associated with our service. Brian did a wonderful job and took the responsibility and stress involved with these tasks away from me so that I could be apart of the service for my dad. Overall, I am truly impressed with my experience with Baldwin Brothers and would recommend their professional services to any one in need of affordable, professional, superb service. I can't think of a more befitting and deserving place for our Military veterans to be placed at…read morerest. The site is surrounded by oaks and pines and the grounds are kept meticulously clean and groomed. It truly conveys a feeling of peacefulness and serenity. I had been here on two previous occasions - both involved the placing of wreaths during the annual "Wreaths Across America" that is in December of every year. This time was to pay respect for a friend who had suddenly and unexpectedly passed away. The Military Honor Guard's performance was very moving and the ceremony faithfully honored this proud veteran who had served his country. It's free to visit, and if you don't know the exact location of the grave you wish to visit, you can check in at the visitor center and they can help you and also provide you with a map. Only live flower arrangements are allowed, and there are vases at each marker. This is a very beautiful place.
