We picked it mainly because you don't need tire chains or spikes to get there like you do with some of the other hot springs that are icy and hard to access. Huge plus. This hot spring is right in downtown Steamboat, basically on Main Street (or very close to it), and it's part of UCHealth. Super easy to find and very convenient. They have about six or seven different hot spring pools, all at different temperatures. The hottest pool the day we went was around 102-105 degrees, which felt amazing. I tried two pools: the hottest one and the large main pool with a bridge going over it, and I absolutely loved both. The water felt incredible, and when I got out, my skin felt so good. They even have a rock-climbing feature in one of the hot pools, which was a fun and unique touch--climbing while soaking was something I didn't expect but really enjoyed. They also have two water slides, which were pretty cool. It's $7 per slide per ride, so not included in admission, but still fun if you want to add something extra. Admission was about $35, and they do offer a military discount, which I appreciated. The facility itself was great--clean changing rooms, free lockers, a small café, and lifeguards on duty. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Overall, this was an excellent experience and a great way to relax in Steamboat Springs without dealing with sketchy winter driving. I would absolutely come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

Waivers are accessed via scan codes and electronic. Ticket prices were reasonable. Staff were friendly. And we're done. Total disclosure: if you have all the time in the world and aren't bothered by waiting in lines, lines and more lines - there are no downsides. If you're like most of us and waiting in the heat, under the full brilliance of the sun, watching the younger staff chill in their shaded watch towers is a bit (ok, a lot) frustrating, pass on the Howler. If it's the fall, when the weather is cooler and you've got a few hours to spend in line and are happy to trade that for a semi fast 10 minutes slide - the Howler is for you. Did we enjoy it (finally)? Yes. Did we also need to take showers afterwards? Yes. Did we arrive when they opened at 10 am and still sweat out a**es off? Yes. Did we consider and reconsider asking for refunds and leaving? Yes and yes. Did we create faux trauma bonds with everyone around us and commiserate in line? Um, yes. What would've made things better? Shade. Offering water to customers and not to staff only. Communication, re: why every fourth chairlift was being used instead of every chairlift. It's the little things. Would we go back? Thanks to paddle-board adventure, we were able to rent the board right at the lake and were able to enjoy our day to fullest. The employees were super-helpful and the guy at the tiki was extra vigilant to ensure the safety of his customers. The renting and returning was breeze because the employee were transporting the rental to and from the shore to their tiki. Overall, I would highly recommend going to pearl lake state park and give these guys a try :)

We got there at 7ish (concert starts at 6:30) and started at the bar with corndogs - best corndogs I've ever had! I got the normal one with waffle fries and my husband got the kielbasa corndog. Def in-house hand battered, and they did NOT have that old-fry oil taste! Recommend giving those a try for sure! Outside during the concert had some reserve seating, turf grass area right in front of stage, and whiskey barrel tables everywhere. Sound was great, environment was awesome, the sun sets behind so it wasn't hot or in your face. Band played for a while, took a 30min break then finished strong! Parking is the downfall, we were luckily told but our tubing shuttle guy to park at the lot before so we pulled in to one of the last few spots. And it was free $$$$$ parking Idk how to describe it other than we had a blast, favorite day of the trip, the people at Snow Bowl are awesome, fun, welcoming... gotta stop here on concert nights!!! And p.s. band was great! We jammed them on the rest of our trip.

A must attend event, especially the morning launch. Reserve a ticket to take the shuttle to Bald Eagle Lake and be sure to bundle up and get your camera ready. I think that steamboat might honestly be the best ski town for the food because there are so many incredible restaurants. They also have hot springs and a tubing hill and great summer activities. Definitely a beautiful get away from the city that doesn't get too crowded because it's further away compared to the other resorts from Denver. There is also an airport that has direct flights from LA, Chicago, and NYC to name a few which is super convenient. There also flights from dia of course. Such a beautiful place with lots to do!
