We were in Steamboat Springs and decided to check out one of the local hot springs, and this one…read moreended up being the perfect choice--especially in winter. We picked it mainly because you don't need tire chains or spikes to get there like you do with some of the other hot springs that are icy and hard to access. Huge plus. This hot spring is right in downtown Steamboat, basically on Main Street (or very close to it), and it's part of UCHealth. Super easy to find and very convenient. They have about six or seven different hot spring pools, all at different temperatures. The hottest pool the day we went was around 102-105 degrees, which felt amazing. I tried two pools: the hottest one and the large main pool with a bridge going over it, and I absolutely loved both. The water felt incredible, and when I got out, my skin felt so good. They even have a rock-climbing feature in one of the hot pools, which was a fun and unique touch--climbing while soaking was something I didn't expect but really enjoyed. They also have two water slides, which were pretty cool. It's $7 per slide per ride, so not included in admission, but still fun if you want to add something extra. Admission was about $35, and they do offer a military discount, which I appreciated. The facility itself was great--clean changing rooms, free lockers, a small café, and lifeguards on duty. The staff was super friendly and welcoming, which always makes a difference. Overall, this was an excellent experience and a great way to relax in Steamboat Springs without dealing with sketchy winter driving. I would absolutely come back and would definitely recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

It's very family friendly, and a great place to hang with friends, or by yourself. It can get a bit crowded, and finding a chair to keep your towels may be difficult, but it depends on the time. Overall, we had a great time here!

Atmosphere: Strawberry Hot Springs is one of my favorite hot…read morespring spots to relax. The atmosphere is so calm and peaceful. You can really let go of all your stress as soon as you get there. They have about four hot pools and a cold plunge. The cold plunge is freezing at first but it actually feels amazing after being in the hot water for a while. I've visited in both fall and winter, and each season is stunning. Kids are welcome during the day. Which makes it great for a family visit. At night, clothing is optional during certain hours, so just check ahead if that's not your thing. Service: The staff is really laid-back and friendly. They check bags for food because chipmunks will try to sneak to your bag and steal your snacks. The bathrooms are always clean and well-maintained. Everyone makes the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable. Cost & Reservations: If you drive yourself and there's no snow, admission is $20 cash per person. If it's snowy, there's a shuttle from Steamboat Springs for about $50, which includes admission. Visits are two-hour reservations, you can book on their website. Payment is cash only in person, so make sure to bring some. Tips: Keep snacks in your car to avoid the chipmunks, bring a towel and something warm to wear after your soak, and enjoy!

My husband and I just stayed two nights in the caboose for our anniversary. First impressions the caboose is adorable, but smells like the inside of a bong. Absolutely overwhelmingly rank. We opened all the doors and windows and used most of a bottle of febreeze we found under the sink to make it slightly more tolerable. Then when we pulled open the murphy bed we found someone else's dirty underwear. We let the attendant know, he apologized and told us he'd let his manager know and we should hear from her the next day. We watched him write a note for her. Heard absolutely nothing. No follow up whatsoever. We talked to another employee when we were checking out to let him know we left a pile of someone else's dirty laundry on the stoop and his response was "f***, I keep telling those guys they have to clean in there." Seriously not impressed for a $500 stay. On top of that the provided linens are one thin blanket, threadbare sheets and the saddest pillows you've ever slept on. I get that it's a rustic setting, but that's no excuse for a dirty, smelly room and cheapskate bedding. It was just gross.

I have to say the ice is some of the best around, maybe because the people working their do a better job of using the zamboni or may the cooling system is better, not sure but this place is great for hockey. Outside the ice rink is the Eagle town pool and is ine very busy place in the summer. Great place to go and cool off. Around the ice rink I think is some of the best mountain biking in the state. Trails leading to miles and miles of riding in all directions. One of the trails called the Haymaker is where the State High School championships have been help for the last couple of years, The trailhead starts right from the parking lot of the ice rink. Mountain bikers can also hit the bmx track next door that is open all of the time to the public. Next to the bmx track their is a pump track that is also very cool and fun to warm up on before leaving to go on a mountain bike ride. I also have to say that the staff who run and take of the ice rink and the and the park around are some of the nices people you might want to ever meet. It's nice you meet people how care about their job and do such a great job. Maybe something that is harder too find nowadays.
